La amabilidad del propietario, parking cubierto cerrado, wifi y bajo coste el alojamiento

La cama muy incomoda te clavas todos los muelles del colchón, nos levantemos con todos los pies de picadas de algún bicho entre las sábanas, a parte de acompañarnos durante toda la noche una cuca gigante, el baño y ducha están en la parte exterior de la habitación en el patio.

Amazing place for an amazing price

Randall was great, everything went very smoothly. The place is nice and clean, the room was big and spacy, the bed was super comfy. There is fully equipped kitchen for common use, the location is about 15 minutes walking from the center which is great, and there is a supermarket just across the road in case you feel like staying in and cooking. And of course the price is amazing!

Very warm and friendly welcome. Easy Check-In and open minded if you need any help. The room was awesome for the 2 nights we feel very comfortable. We could also Use the Garage for our car that was awesome.

Horrible check-in process

We booked a double room with private bathroom. We liked the room, and we think it was quite comfortable and quiet. Also it had TV and a terrace. Private parking and good Wifi signal were also a plus.

The check-in process was horrible. During the booking process, several weeks ago, we requested a check-in time during the afternoon. However, plans changed during our trip to Costa Rica and we called to ask if it was possible to perform the check-in in the early morning. We call several times, but nobody picked up the phone. After a while, the owner called us and told us it was not possible to check-in so early (I think it was 10:00) and we had to wait until 13:00. So far everything was correct. We understand that if we notify at the last moment, it is not possible to perform the check-in at that moment and we had to wait a little bit until 13:00. That was not a problem. We took advantage of those hours to make a quick visit of a near viewpoint and carry out some procedures. However, we went to the accommodation a little before the agreed time. And there was nobody there. We had to wait almost an hour to someone let us in. During that time we tried to call several times to the accommodation and nobody answered. We had a tour at 14:00 and we arrived very late because the unprofessionality of the staff. Eventually, a girl appears and let us do the check-in, we pay and run to the tour. Was in that moment that the owner called us to apologize and tell us that the girl was coming… I still don’t understand why was so difficult to contact to the owner. On the other hand, about the accommodation, there were spider webs and we found a big spider in the room. The common areas and kitchen were plenty of mosquitoes. Didn’t feel like clean place at all.

Exceptional

This is a great place. Excellent value. Very calm nice ambience. The garden is very nice to enjoy and relax. Breakfast is wonderful and a great price (and so is the laundry). The staff are super. A good option is to stay here and use it as a base camp for Cartago, but also the area around which has many nice things to do and see. Super comfortable.

The stay was comfortable and the owners very friendly.

The owners of the property are friendly and helpful. The place is not on a busy road, it's easy to get around on foot. The property has a lovely central little garden, with fairy lights they turn on in the evening. It was a lovely place to stay.

We did have a moment during the night when people were running from police and they had climbed onto the roof. But the place is secure with locks and a gate.

Quiet, easy come and go, safe and economical. Helpful host.

Breakfast included good helpings and good assortment. Ready on time. Willingness to suit dietary inclinations. Particularly important was the safe indoor parking that allowed us to leave the car and contents without worry. Very guest centered. The patio was secluded and pleasant. We would gladly stay again since the pricing reflected the the rather rough construction

Ours was the second room that had a separate shower and toilet. The somewhat cramped lay out meant that there was not a place to hang garments. The creature comforts are limited and construction is somewhat rough, however we would gladly stay again since things were priced accordingly.

Disappointing

Nice and helpful staff. Possibility of parking in the garage. Room small, but we had (almost) everything we needed. Possibility to sit outside in the courtyard.

There was broken sink in the bathroom, so we had to take all the water out of the shower. It may sound funny to brush your teeth in the shower, but in our opinion we should have been informed in advance and not until we have checked in and paid for.

The room was big, with acess to a well equiped shared kitchen and outdoor space. We appreciated a lot the safe parking space inside the garrage and the cute kitten of the hosts (do not worry if you are not an animal lover, you will not know he is there). Nice people and a good location in Cartago, safe and residencial neighbourhood

Nice cozy place in downtown Cartago

I liked Every thing else!! The place is extra clean, silent, homely cozy, it has a little garden, shared kitchen, friendly host, etc. The surroundings are really nice, the first downtown neighborhood in Cartago that I like. Great place for a short stay or even a long stay if that's part of your plans.

The only problems: 1. TV has no cable TV and for some odd reason (the host tried to help setting things up and she couldn't either) we were not able to set my Netflix account in the browser, and didnt allow to download the app on Playstore. 2. Not able to turn on the showers hot water... And Cartago's water is very cold. 3**. There were several short blackouts that night. Not sure if it's an on going thing in that area or something unusual was happening that night.
