Clean, friendly, beautifully appointed room and superbly accommodating, friendly staff. The breakfast and coffees were excellent.
I liked everything about my stay .
5.0
Location to where we were working was good
Car park was small, not 'ample' as advertised
It took the hosts 10 mins to come to the door, even though we arranged an arrival time.
Two flights of stairs to the room, no lift
Noisy occupants at night and someone came and stood outside my door at 4am
The 'bathroom' was not a bathroom, it was some sort of converted cupboard. Smaller than a caravan bathroom.

An interesting old house, the decor is dated but a lot of effort has been spent keeping it clean and presentable, the location is great just a short walk to the canal.
The bed mattress was a bit uncomfortable as were the pillows.

The original details of the house - particularly the glass and woodwork - are extraordinary. We loved that the owners are taking such care to conserve and look after their family home so well. Great breakfast too. Nice location near to the canal. Thank you!

The room was really great in size and I can't complain about the breakfast but if there's was hashbrown it would be even better. Thanks to the cleaning staff who cleaned my room immaculately.
The network (WI-FI) was quite slow and I was having a bit of problem with locking and unlocking of door. In my view, the car park is quite narrow but I didn't have any problem during my stay.

The house is really lovely the room was massive and clean and the shower room was a nice size. The breakfast was plentiful and good.
The pillows were too thin I like thicker pillows.

It’s handy for the station and Marple is a nice little market town. A good community feel.
The breakfast was excellent.
When I got there on the first night, the heating was on full blast, so I turned it down and in the morning it was completely cold and turning it back up made no difference. I did report it but nothing changed. On the second night, somebody had left the windows open(why?), so it was real cool , man!
There’s a lot of steep steps to the room on the second floor and nobody offered to help.

Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Unexpected upgrade to en-suite. Warmly welcomed by Lorraine. Very comfortable and quiet. Good breakfast!
Nothing to dislike!

Friendly, clean and comfortable. Nicely located near Marple Train Station.
Nice Veggie breakfast!
Wardrobe that rattled constantly when people walked around the room or turned in bed. Minor, yet annoying over time.
Generally pleasantly surprised by the place.
Great for short stay to see local family.

The staff were very good, breakfast was good value with a good choice of cereal , fruit juice and traditional cooked fare. The location of the property is good for access to both the Dale's and into Manchester.
The property is a Victorian house and the decor fits this type of building. The lack of ensuite facilities is the only real negative, however both the bath and shower facilities on the floor we stayed on were both clean and functional.

Property was clean and well located for our needs. Common areas were well presented. Breakfast was hot. Decorated nicely. Lovely period window.
Within the first five minutes of our visit we found a disgruntled customer and separately staff shouting. Stair rail doesn't run all the way to the final floor. Can't fully open "bathroom" door because the bed is in the way. Banged head on a joist in the bedroom. The mattress wasn't great. En suite bathroom is an exaggeration for what is offered, it really isn't practical to stand in the shower to brush your teeth or have a shower and avoid the loo. Oh and noisy neighbours which I dont blame the accommodation for disturbed us for most of the night. Staff weren't the warmest i have had the pleasure of meeting. Breakfast was simple. No information in room re check out times etc light off in corridor struggling to find switch so we could open door.

We booked a family room as there were three of us and the room was huge, very clean and bright as there were plenty of large windows. The shower room was a good size and we couldn't have asked for anything more. The beds were comfy and the breakfast was lovely.
Nothing.

Friendly staff, peaceful rest & excellent inclusive breakfast (with black pudding😋)
All good
