perfect location and great facilities. we had great weather when we were there and we spent most of the day on the large upstairs communal balcony which had gorgeous views.
slight smell to the toilet

Incredible views, extremely comfortable and spacious lodge.
Few problems with hot water but staff resolved quickly. Can get very cold at night depending on season, the property isn’t well heated but lovely open fire place.
4.3
Location and room were great.
Showers were cold and no English was spoken at reception at all.

Big bed. Easy walk into town.
The sheets were dirty and the previous guests hair was left in the sink (see photos). When mentioned to the staff they said that the sheets were not dirty it was just paint stains. They eventually agreed to change them so I have them my key. Came back later, the room had been tidied but the sheets were the same and the hair was still in the sink! The wifi does not work and to top it all off when we were leaving we asked if they could call us a taxi, they gave us the WhatsApp number, asked us to do it but since the wifi is so terrible we stood there struggling for ages. I eventually asked again if they could and they rolled their eyes and reluctantly contacted the company. Really, it was unbelievable and for what it costs, definitely not worth it. There are many other nice places with kind caring people in the town.

Location

It was in a good location, off the main road, quite far up a hill which beautiful views. The shared spaces were nice. The restaurant was friendly and nicely decorated.
Terrible blue chemical in toilet gave off a foul odour that gave me a headache. The smell was strong in the bedroom, there was no escaping it and I could not sleep. Also the cabin had a half finished feel, no bedside lights and the towel rack were shoddily installed and fell off a couple of times. The furniture in the sitting room was uncomfortable and too big for the room. Maybe other cabanas are nicer but ours was crap. It was #3.

Lovely cabin with great view for sunrise.
Staff attentive and helpful.
Very clean and modern property.
Recommend.
Not a negative per se- but note it’s roughly a 25 minute uphill walk from the bus station in town. You can also take a taxi up the hill.
Wifi is intermittent but it’s the case for the whole town.

Es muy agradable la estancia en la cabaña
Que habia un poco de ruido por los trabajadores ya que están ampliando el hotel

The place was beautiful, amazing scenary, wonderful entrance. The cottage we stayed in had two areas and the bedroom. Felt like a fairytale with us being within the clouds and the space.
Hey maybe I'm just allergic buuut one of the pillows was dusty and my partner and I spent the whole night sneezing (but hey maybe it was just me). One of the pillow cases was broken, we didn't get ask after checkout how was our stay. Would suggest a minibar!

No complaints!

location and staff
The room was filthy. We had stayed 5 nights before at the hotel and our stay had been great. This time it was different. Our cottage hadn’t been cleaned, the floor was very dirty. There were remains of food in the seating room, one of the bathrooms hadn’t been cleaned. The sheets smelled as if they hadn’t been changed. I couldn’t sleep a wink. A completely different stay from the previous stay. My impression was that one member of staff had to do everything!!! We were very disappointed as we had brought a friend with us and had recommended the hotel to him. He was given a horrible cottage at the very top of the mountain and we were all over 66!! The walls were full of mould therefore it was smelly and heath hazardous.

Lovely hotel and location. We were travelling with my Mum (87). The cottage we were given first was a bit tatty, the lock wasn’t working and it was difficult to access. They kindly gave us a much better room. It was lovely!

Black mould on bedroom wall
No water overnight. Booking stated cost was £71. I have been charged £91. Unacceptable. Refund demanded

stunning rooms with a fire place and gorgeous views of the mountains, an absolute stunning place to stay
at the moment there is a bit of construction work happening on new rooms, but it did not disturb our stay too much.

Décoration is nice that’s why it seems ti be a nice place on picture. The owners are really good to mak false rating and commentaries. All the good ratings don’t have commentaries. And the names doesn’t match with the country.
This a party hotel. There’s was a really big party all night long in the hotel. Literally all night long. I’ve slept like 20 minutes for two times. People were shouting and singing too loud. As I read in the hotel rules there’s supposed to be a quiet period after 11PM but nobody are there to enforce it.
I used to sleep very often in young hostels where the guests have 20 years old and that’s more quiet.
I won’t be able to sleep in the morning too because the hotel is a construction site. You cannot enjoy the view because your curtains will be close. Workers are in front of your window early in the morning. It’s very noisy so it’s impossible to sleep in morning too.
-The wall are in paper. I heard phones vibrating in the room beside.
-Shower doesn’t work well
-Coffee taste water.
-Wifi dosen’t work
-Far from the village.
-Contribute to gentrification of Mexico
-No respect of health and security rules on the building site.
By far the worst hotel I’ve been in all my trip to Mexico and I’ve never pay that much for an hotel. I’ve visit more than 30 hotels.Something, you read in the commentaries that the hotel is noisy. It’s normal it’s Mexico. I’m very tolerant about that.
In that hotel, it’s over de common sense. I just can’t imagine how a thing like that can happen in an hotel.

Everything was Fantastic

Stunning views of the valley and a very comfortable room
Bathroom had a bit of a smell and restaurant was closed on Mondays, so had to walk down into town for breakfast

views and location were super. beds were comfortable The staff were as helpful as could be and really tried to make us comfortable.
We rented a cabin-with 2 bedrooms. There were three of us in the party. This was meant to accommodate eight. No idea how this would work. the overall design was Terrible, and I don’t think our room was actually finished. There was no surface to the balcony outside one of the bedrooms-only the wooden struts. There was no handle on the inside of the larger bathroom door. It could not be locked. The smaller bathroom was so tiny that your knees almost touched the wall when sitting on the toilet. The fridge door opened out the wrong way. We only wanted to eat breakfast in our room – it is meant to have a kitchen. It has a tiny sink and a hot plate and a microwave. There is no space around the kitchen sink to dry or drain dishes. No tea towels were available. Totally ridiculous.
4.3
Nice little hotel with a nice view and beautiful room with king size bed. Cosy fireplace that we needed to put on as the nights are cooler in this part of Mexico
4.3
This hotel is perched high up on the hills overlooking the mountain town of San Jose Del Pacifico. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, and the cabins are cosy and warm, with an electric fire and wooden walls. The balcony though is by far the best part of the room, overlooking the valley, completely immersing you in nature. Coffee facilities are available in the general breakfast room free of charge, the bathroom was nice, and the bed was huge and very comfy.
The shower wasn't draining very well at all, so we had to take a long break between one of us showering and the other. Our cabin, whilst overlooking the valley, was also overlooking some in-progress building work on a new cabin. This is just unfortunate timing, but traffic cones and piles of sand ruined somewhat the view - however, once this is finished, it'll be fine.
