Made a brilliant base for our Ebor adventure

Brilliant location as we were going to the Ebor race meeting - 15 minute walk to and from the race course. It’s also only 2 minutes away from The Winning Post where we had a couple of very enjoyable evenings with our fellow race goers. The property is excellent and was very comfortable for our party of 4. Lots of lovely touches like the Yorkshire flavour of the pictures on the walls and particularly loved the tower fans in every room - personally loved the Theakstons pint glasses. We had a great time at Bishy Road Hideaway and are already planning a return for next year’s Ebor meeting!

It was clean, close to the city centre and had good facilities and kitchen equipment.

Great location, excellent facilities and felt at home moment you walked through the door.

Lovely property, walking distance to York, once you arrived there was no need to use public transport or car. Lovely welcome pack and really felt at home.

Option fir different types of pillows would be only item I could recommend and maybe some soundproofing for boiler cupboard as in main room but did not impact our stay

Clean and pleasant. Beds very comfortable

Internal doors needed attention. My daughter got locked in her bedroom because the door handle wouldn't work. The house was very cold on arrival and took days to warm up.

Superb

Fantastic house located near the racecourse, which us just what we wanted for my daughter's 21st. Shops & local pub within walking distance. We would all happily revisit. Thank you. 😘

Nice house, great location for Races , very clean,

Used a security key box at back of the house. Code was sent to me via email. No issues. All good

Only thing to mention is that the house is advertised as a great location for York Races . The check in time was after the Races started which was a bit frustrating as we couldn't drop off our bags before going to the afternoon Races. We had to use a luggage drop off service in York instead. It would have been great to have been able to drop off our bags at 12:30 / 1pm.

Really enjoyed staying here. Interestingly though the property did not come up when my folks ( who live in York ) were trying to help us find somewhere to stay. I found the property on this site front Nee Zealand. It was perfect in every way - like staying at home except in holiday. Very comfortable, lots of space and amenities, and a 10min walk to York central. Would stay here again if it's still on the site next time we go to England.

Lovely clean, and beautifully presented house in York.

Very welcoming and comfortable house. Thought of everything. So much better than a hotel where you pay for many services you don't use, or want. House was close to York town centre do could walk and not worry about the car or parking.

Nothing at all. We liked everything about the house, the look and feel. The cleanliness was superb.

comfortable, warm, great beds, clean , newly decorated, quiet cul-de-sac, 60 seconds to nice pub, 5 mins walk to great selection of shops / restaurants and only 10 mins walk into centre of York.
