We enjoyed our stay visited some great attractions, had good views, location needs some TLC

The location was brilliant for visiting the York attractions which is a huge bonus. Beds were comfortable .

The Location to visit the centre of York could not be better. there is confusion in what the owners site says and what Booking .com says. They state that there are pull out tables and chairs for dining purposes and unfortunately they are missing we did query it and were informed they should be there but could not be found only one small pull out table and two fold up chairs chairs were available ,yes there were four stools at the breakfast bar in the kitchen ,There was 8 of us so no facility to dine together. Also no armchairs and only a six seater settee. Showers had some mould in them and cleaning was poor in the lounge debris under the sofa cushions and under the furniture, photos available if required. We were there at the weekend so it was busy till the early hours in the local area which we expected but the night club across the road we are sure are not operating with the legal limits of sound pollution at 3am .

1 Patrick's Pool.

The location was excellent. It was a good size and useful to have an ensuite to each bedroom. Bedding and towels clean.

No milk on arrival for tea and coffee. Wee in toilet, bins not emptied, popcorn on floor, cigarette butts on doorstep, cobwebs in hall.No mattress protectors on the beds just a thin sheet directly on mattress which we felt unhygienic. No fire extinguishers or escape ladders on top and second floor, secondary escape windowsill narrow with sheer drop. No proper soap in bathrooms, sanitizer provided. No soap or shampoo in shower or spare loo roll. Welcome pack seemed to have details for another residence talking of parking we didn't have etc.

Very poor cleanliness and maintenance fir a £400+ per night property, though great central location (noisy, so take good earplugs - the supplied ones don’t cut the sound enough when you have a window open)

Really shoddy cleanliness - food waste on the walls, grease marks around the cooker and food waste on the walls around the bin. Filthy cooker hood with cobwebs all around it, 2nd floor master bedroom en-suite with streaky walls (likely as the fan didn’t work) and cobwebs all around the walls behind the toilet. Very noisy outside, but expected that due to the location. Poor quality ear plugs provided and the bigger issue is that in the bedrooms the secondary glazing window needs to be fully opened for any air flow, then as there are no brackets to adjust how much the outer window opens, you also have to have that fully open. Creates a larger opening and more sound comes in - take good quality ear plugs. Filthy dust covered TVs in all rooms, dirty/dusty ceiling lights in the living room and kitchen. No cleaning supplies at all, so if you use the cooker or have dishes on the counter, or dirt on the floor - there is nothing to clean the place with.

Lovely apartment in the heart of York, would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you.

The location is absolutely perfect, you could not be in a more central location. It is on the door step of the main shopping square in York and is only a short walk away from everything else. The rooms were exactly as described and very clean. The house itself is nicely decorated and has all the amenities you would need for a longer stay as well.

The apartment is on a busy corner which can get quite loud on a Friday/Saturday night especially in the bigger rooms with the windows, although I couldn't hear anything from one of the smaller bedrooms. The TVs in the bedrooms worked great with TV Coverage but it would be nice to have FreeView etc in the main room instead of just radio/DVDs.

Catch up with friends.

Very central location. Easy to find and only 15 mins walk from the train station. The apartment was very clean and very comfortable, beds very comfy too. Everything you need is supplied in this accommodation.

There was nothing I didn't like. I would definitely recommend a stay at this accommodation.

very noisy, literally across the road from a nightclub which opens 7 days a week until 4am. the music starts about midnight and goes on until 4am. you can hear it very clearly, sleep was disturbed every night.

A fantastic city stay

The property was so close to the centre and so easy to access all the wonderful places the city has to offer. The property was so comfortable and relaxing. It was lovely to have spacious rooms and en-suites.

Could have done with some tools for the wood burner.

Incredible location, convenient and comfortable. Noisy rooms!

Incredible location bang in the centre of York, the apartments are really well decorated and furnished and the views were fantastic! Not suitable for families due to the noise from the nearby bars and pubs but the property did provide disposable ear plugs which were used, they obviously get this feedback a lot! Would return for the location and convenience, great for groups who are out on the sauce and want somewhere central and comfortable to stay. Thank you!

It can't be avoided but be prepared for a poor night's sleep if you are a light sleeper!

Disappointing

The location was excellent. 1 minute.walk from Shambles. York Minster was less than 10 minutes away. The house was in the middle of everything. The bedrooms were beautiful with a bonus of ensuite. The breakfast bar in the kitchen was a nice touch. On the third floor bedroom you could see York Minster.

The noise from the Bar/night club across the road, went on until 4 or 5am in the morning. Then the dustman and delivery men arrived.. I would move the fridge freezer. As it is not safe near the staircase. You could walk backward while opening the fridge and freezer. The sofa in the lounge was so uncomfortable. Because it was low down. When you sat on it you could not get up. There was no toilet downstairs. And you had to keep going to your bedrooms to go use the bathroom.

Brilliant location near to all amenities, lovely townhouse

Fantastic location right in the heart of the city and close to lots of lovely little individual cafe bars, restaurants, shops, Shambles market. Easy and short walk to York Cathedral and other historic monuments. Townhouse had everything we needed and great that we all got our own en-suites with hot water. Warm and comfortable.

Unfortunately for us, we visited as a family of 3 couples, toddler and teenager. The two larger bedrooms were on the front side and approx 50 yards from a nightclub which didn't close until 4am and even though earplugs were supplied we didn't get much sleep which was a shame as the accommodation was perfect; but the lack of sleep spoilt the visit.

Great if you’re hard of hearing

Extremely noisy from about 11 pm til 4am from nearby bars and club, both nights we stayed . This ruined what could have been a great experience - earplugs on the beds suggests owners knew but we didn’t read anything about this in the description. Hence our rating Also water extremely hot and couldn’t be lowered in our shower - turn boiler down?

Great apartment in an excellent location. Very central to everything but unfortunately vehicles servicing local businesses arrive early in the morning and the noise disturbs anybody sleeping in the corner bedrooms.

We were in York celebrating a friend's 50th birthday a group of 8, the house is in a fabulous location right in the centre of town, very close to all bars, restaurants, shops and tourist attractions. 4 good size bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms, towels provided. The house was very clean and well maintained.

Ensuite bathrooms a bit small A few more cups and glasswear needed.

It was better than ok but not great.

central position and comfortable bedrooms

en-suites ridiculously small - the sink was so small couldn’t lean over to clean my teeth without hitting my head. Drains smelt in one en-suite. Not enough cooking utensils if you wanted to cook in the apartment.

nice little get away.

very central, literally in the middle of York city centre. beds and towels made up with complimentary shower gel yea/ coffee sugar provided. spacious and lovely views.

shower on the top king room was too hot and as much as I tried I couldn’t get the temperature down. no lighter or matches provided to light the log burner. no one smokes in our family and no shops open Boxing Day evening we could get one. no bin bags provided. empty bag of cocaine left on top of the radiator on the first second floor double room. WiFi password on the back of router but took a while to find the router (it’s in the kitchen next to the window)

en-suites in each bedroom. Room sizes great for 3 people. well appointed kitchen. wi-fi available and good tv channels. very central location.

tap in kitchen sink was loose. no hand wash in one of the top floor en-suite. light on the stairs didn’t come on until we were half way down. carpet grippers on some of the stairs came through the carpet

Enjoyable overall. Would probably book the property again

Location was central to everything. Stairs a little to much for one of the party but manageable. Property was very clean and comfortable.

Was a bit cold as you were coming up the main stairs but once in it was warm. We didn't realise how close it was to a night club, which kept 2 of the party up most of the night.

Great location shame about the noise issue

Central location & high standard of accomodation. Fully equipped kitchen, comfy lounge and big bright ensuite rooms. All attractions & restaurants within walking distance.

Popular ,busy nightclub situated less than 300 yards from townhouse which was open 7 until 4am! The thumping music & then revellers on leaving was unbelievable! Then staff clearing bottles & refuse lorries during the night! Even the provided earplugs failed to block it out all this early hours noise. Which is a shame as great central location.
