The stay here was perfect! We were able to enjoy the sunsets from the lake dock and fire pit at night. We would recommend this stunning home to anyone coming to the area. The house was equipped with all the amenities listed and a beautiful aesthetic. Thank you to the owners for sharing their home.

The house is perfectly decorated and loved in all the right ways. The property is spectacular with a beautiful view of the lake and nicely cared for lawn. We enjoyed big brown bunny sightings and even an owl was spotted while we enjoyed smores over a campfire. It's easy to feel like your home while staying here. We really didn't want to leave.

This perfect house on Sebasticook Lake was everything the pictures present. We stayed for almost a week and will definitely book another week next year. One disappointing part of our trip was that the town of Newport had already drained the lake for the season on September 11 and there was not enough water to launch the boat. If you are staying here to boat and fish please call the town before booking.
The property manager was very helpful and shared some lakes nearby so not was all lost.

Very much enjoyed my stay in Newport. The property was LOVELY and the decorations were very nice inside. The beds were also very comfortable. We had perfect weather the week we were there so we were able to enjoy all the outside amenities. I really liked that the property was tucked away but still 5 minutes from anything you need. Would definitely stay again!

This house is beautiful and restoration is modern. Very relaxing and comfortable. If you love the outdoors, this is a true treasure. Loved being on the lake and having the kayaks go straight in from the property was amazing. House is clean and stocked. Dave is a great host and reminds you of the need to wear life jackets and mindful to leash dogs because of the neighborhood bunnies. Chose this house for it's pure beauty, relaxing vibe and didn't mind driving to Acadia National park and Bangor for day trips. Can't wait to return 😊

The house has a beautiful view of Sebasticook Lake. We enjoyed the kayaks and fishing poles. The house itself is small but nicely renovated and comfortable. I would have liked more information about local attractions--hiking, restaurants--but the owners are not local. Everything was in good working order and we did not need to contact anyone.

This property is really nice and clean, and the views from the back deck towards the lake across the expansive lawn were amazing. It rained quite a bit, and the one thing I would say is that there are not many comfortable places to sit inside on a rainy day. The couch was rather small and there were not many other cozy spots other than your bed. The dining room table was nice and certainly big enough for game playing. The kitchen was pretty well stocked and the decorating of every room was tasteful, charming and well thought out.The beds were nice and comfortable. The back deck did have nice seating, but in the rain, that wasn’t really helpful. A covered porch or awning would certainly be a nice addition. We did enjoy the fire pit area to sit in sun during day and at night. We also liked playing frisbee/football on the giant lawn, but it tended to get swampy in areas after the amount of rain we had, but it was still fun. The kayaks that were provided to use were nice and the cove where you sat down on lake was really scenic. Watching the Eagles, Osprey and other birds kept us entertained. Although you are on a nice dead end street at the house, down by the water the road noise from across the lake is fairly loud at certain times of the day, but not that big of a deal. The really cute chunky bunny rabbits that were around the property were entertaining to watch as well. It is close to the town, so easy to get supplies. Overall we had a great stay and would visit again.

Amazing from start to end. Despite the cloudy weather, we fished every day on the lake and caught many fish! So quiet and peaceful. Could have stayed for weeks. Enjoyed visiting the coast and all the little towns. House was comfy and perfect! Had everything of we needed. Host was amazing and easy to get hold of for questions.

Went to Newport to visit family for the holidays and felt at home in Sugar Maple. The home has everything you need for a quiet relaxing getaway. We’ve stayed at other lake houses on Sebasticook Lake and this was our favorite. We’ll definitely stay again!

Lovely restored lake cabin
This home is ideal for anyone. They have restored the home to picture perfect. While the inside of the home is lovely, the outside deck, yard and lake is where we spent all of our time. From the beautiful expansive lawn area mowed perfectly, to the fire pit we used nightly, to the just right temperature in the lake for swimming, easy access to the lake, the use of the 2 kayaks, and then enjoying the beautiful view from huge deck. We were so impressed our whole stay. The property is quiet and secluded, yet close to town if needed. it was a 5 star VRBO experience for us!!!!

Great Place!
Very nice property on quiet street, window AC units keep the house comfortable on hot days, and heating for cool days was also utilized and appreciated as Maine summer weather is a bit unpredictable. House is adorably decorated and has all the comforts of home.

Amazing Property
We loved loved (yes, twice!) our stay at the lake house. The house was adorable, decorated very well. The land and lake were an absolute hit with our 11 year old and 8yo. We will rent this property again and again until we find our own up there. Owners were fantastic with communication. Honestly, the lake house was the absolute highlight of our trip. It had everything and we felt very much at home.

Great Lakefront Property
The house is located on a peaceful lake. Plenty of yard space for a dog or yard games and there is a fire pit with a seating area. It was a great place to relax for a week or long weekend. The kayaks were so fun to use and they had life jackets. The house is stocked with almost everything you could need. But beware of all the lake midges that will find their way into the house. You can’t beat the location!
