This is a basement apartment, so it tends to be a bit dark. However it was perfect for our family of four to have as a landing place after a busy day of activities. It was very clean and the furniture was comfy. The kitchen was quite well stocked. They didn’t have any basic cooking foods though like even salt & pepper, so make sure to bring your own. But they had plenty of dishes and a toaster oven and all the other basics to cook. We liked the outdoor table and chairs as a nice bright eating space, and we were lucky enough to have perfect weather for that. The WiFi is good too. Overall a great place to stay!

The apartment is well stocked and confortable for a family of four. We had a bad experience because we had problems with the WIFI. In addition, there’s a problem with the heating system that went out twice during our stay. The system has to be reset but the reset button is located outside and is not easy going out in the middle of the night. Another inconvenience is that they forgot to leave coffee filters for the coffee maker. We were unable to use the machine and had to wait until the maintenance manager changed the machine. The first two days we had to resort to running to Dunkin’ Donuts for coffee.

Wish we had booked more time here. Would be even better if the fireplace was functional. The wifi was spotty, but that helped us unconnect a bit. Will definitely return.

The house had accommodations for the 4 of us (queen bed and 2 twin beds) and we were comfortable with the living and kitchen spaces. The porches had great views of the lake and it was really quiet and we enjoyed the space a lot. I would probably stay here again because of these things.
We were a little disappointed with the cleanliness because we found a candy wrapper and a cracker wrapper on the floors. We also found a dirty washcloth in the bathroom.
Another thing was that an air conditioner repair person showed up without any notice and we had to wait on the person for half of the day for repairs.

The full kitchen and outdoor grill made it very convenient for us. The air conditioning was not working when we got there. Vacasa was pretty responsive and put in a temporary air conditioner for the remainder of our short stay. This place was not as cool as we would have liked as a result and my husband hung around a good part of the first day of our short vacation to facilitate this. Fortunately, it doesn't typically get terribly hot at Lake Junaluska even in the middle of summer. Overall, we had a great time walking around the lake, swimming in the pool, and fishing.

First of all, few places on Earth are as beautiful and serene as Lake Junaluska. Then once your here, having a nice warm and comfortable place to stay is a bonus. Serenity Hillside Lower is aptly named. It was quiet, calm, warm and most comfortable. The HVAC system responds immediately to any changes and was plenty warm despite the freezing outdoor temps. Rooms and beds were just the right size for two folks, anymore than three folks would be a little tight. Appliances appeared brand new and the kitchen was more than amply stocked with utensils, even some housekeeping supplies. TV service (composed of streaming services) and Wi-Fi were more than sufficient. Proximity to lake was great given the price. Each time we went down to the lake we simply walked. The site is off the main roadway making it quiet and peaceful, but super close to the Lake Junaluska Outfitters area which has most of the visitor amenities. All were within a short walk away. Super easy to get to and close to the Lake Junaluska entrance without being near any traffic. You can see the lake clearly from the patio but it’s not as if you’re right on the bank, thus the economical price. Unless you have to have an entirely unobstructed view of the lake, it’s a great bargain. Communication with Vacasa was super simple and done entirely via text, though use of the app is an option. Would most definitely stay there again. Thank you to the owners and Vacasa for a most memorable and pleasant stay.
