We can’t say enough (good) about Casa Playa in Santa Barbara. The property is beautiful. The check-in process and logistics were extremely seamless. The location is fantastic. We walked everywhere. I wish we could buy this place!!! Highly recommended!!! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

A fairly new transplant to Santa Barbara, I was anxious to show off the perfect weather I've been bragging about to visitors from the midwest, who were escaping the winterous spring.
Unfortunately, there were torrential rainstorms during their visit--requiring us to pivot from planned whale watching tours and such.
Fortunately, though, we had booked "Casa Playa"--the perfect place to be shut-ins. Beautifully equipped, tastefully decorated and comfortably appointed, with a comfy living room to gather, gossip and giggle away the days playing board games, it was a perfect place to spend time together.

The location is awesome. Just a couple of short blocks to the beach, to lower State St. and the Funk Zone. Very walkable to eat, go to clubs or shop. The home is really nice, well maintained, and has everything you need in the kitchen. The bedrooms are on three different levels and offer lot's of privacy. Two of them are spacious suites. We would definitely stay here again!

This home is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare a meal if desired (this is a big plus! There’s nothing worse than a rental home without a good coffee maker, blender, bakeware etc.)
While in a quiet residential neighborhood, it’s an easy walk to the beach and to restaurants. The only glitch was the hot water heater which was very temperamental. Even so, we truly enjoyed our stay and would book the property again without hesitation!

We have stayed in many locations in the Bath/Yanonali area of SB and this is our favorite. We have even stayed in the unit directly across the driveway and prefer Casa Playa - it is larger and has a 2nd external stairs entrance that is convenient for entry without going through the front door. 3 nice ensuites, individual room A/C is a great convenience and was used at night for those not wanting to have their windows open when they slept. Kitchen was easy to work in with 6 people, BBQ worked well (bring a meat thermometer if you prefer), great wifi and TV's in each room. With three cars one of us needed to park on the street but found easy parking within the block that was not permit restricted. Our only reservation is that more folks will find out how great Casa Playa is and it will be harder for us to reserve our next stay.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Casa Playa. The property is absolutely gorgeous, and is in a perfect location. We walked to the beach and to State street. The amenities were outstanding, and above and beyond our expectations. Gorgeous!

We had a wonderful time staying at Casa Playa. The home is beautiful, well-located in general, and within walking distance to the Santa Barbara Pier, Funk Zone and many wonderful restaurants. It is also a short driving distance to many other local destinations, including the charming Santa Barbara Airport where two of the guests flew into after their flight to LAX was cancelled and they had to arrive a day late. The kitchen is also well appointed with just about anything you will need. It was quite warm when we were there but the individual air conditioning units in each room worked wonderfully and the breezes that blew through the balconies on the second and third floors in the evenings and early mornings were fabulous. I would definitely stay here again. My only comment, which is absolutely not a complaint as it was not an issue for any of us, is to be aware that there are a lot of stairs between the three stories of this home (with the main part of the house - the kitchen/living room/dining room on the second/middle floor). If you or your guests have trouble traversing stairs, or you have small children, this is probably not the best rental option for you.

Our weeklong visit was centered around our son’s wedding in Montecito. We had events at Shalhoobs, in Montecito and squeezed in 4 rounds of golf at Sandpiper. Casa Playa was the perfect home in a perfect location. Easy access to the 101 but you can walk to so much…the beach, great coffee shops, great restaurants. The home is awesome. Comfortable beds, great bathrooms with tons of towels, perfectly stocked kitchen. With the bedrooms all on separate floors, you have privacy but come together in a spacious kitchen/living room with great seating. Garage is spacious and perfect for storage of golf clubs. You do need to keep the garage door closed as a few “characters” came wondering down the private driveway. We never did find the whole bean coffee grinder but I’m sure the owner will provide that for the next guests. Only complaint…we found the master/ground floor shower water temperature just too cool and had to share the main floor bath with others. I tried for two days but was freezing in the shower. Definitely would rent again.

Our family of 5 (all adult children) stayed at Casa Playa to celebrate our son’s graduation from UCSB. Everyone had plenty of privacy and space. Location was wonderful for going to the beach or meeting other family members staying downtown. Beautiful place!

This home is beautifully appointed with everything you might need for your stay inclusive of kitchen supplies, extra towels, etc. With a room and full bath on each floor it is perfect for 3 couples. Very clean and feels new and is in a great location.

We came down for a wedding three adults. The home was very nicely furnished and very comfortable. All three bedrooms were on separate levels with nice bedding and we each have our own bathroom. Very quite but walkable street.

This place has everything! Beautiful inside, clean, great location, well stocked, perfect for 3 couples. We walked to everything! Added bonus was this home has A/C!! We were there during a heat wave and were very grateful to have cool air at night. Highly recommend!

Lovely Property but bad management
Lovely property but on check in we were surprised to find the entire property smelling like natural gas. We called the agency and they did send out the agent right away. She walked through the property quickly opening windows and noticed lights blinking on the stove. The agent found out that the cleaners had accidentally hit one of the knobs on the stove which caused the gas smell throughout the house. We had to wait until almost 7:00 to finally enter the house as we had to wait for their maintenance team to make sure that we could go in. We missed dinner reservations, etc......We asked for some credit towards our stay or even a couple of hours extra on our last day and to our dismay the agency tried to blame us?? and would not give us any discount on our stay. It was a strong indication that no one checked on the property before we arrived which if they would have taken the time, this would all be eliminated. I would be very careful staying there with this kind of management. It is a shame it put such a bad feeling for what should have been a great experience.

Peaceful Santa Barbara Visit
Size of all rooms perfect. Beds comfortable. Two outside areas for visiting/eating. Sofa needs replacing. Provides no sitting/back support. Makes for an uncomfortable area to watch TV or visit with your companions. Looks nice, but not functional.

This was a great location super nice to walk to the funk zone, harbor, and downtown. The place has all the beach chairs and well stocked kitchen which was much appreciated! The furnishings feel a litttle cheap, but what you’d expect for a rental property. The beds were super comfortable and it was nice that each bedroom had its own floor and bath with nice outdoor seating! We had a great time staying there for a ladies reunion!
