A little worn on the outside from the salt air, but the inside was lovely and rooms, showers and AC were great. The pool is what we loved the most. A place to gather after a day at the beach and after dinner. View of dunes and ocean were fabulous!

This is the 4th time we stayed at Gypsy Belle... two years in a row we came here twice a year! This is a heavenly house with everything you might possibly need. The house is well maintained. The "luxury" is in the location, merely steps to the beach. The house has a million dollar view from the porch. The sound of the ocean and the salty breeze are intoxicating. We will be back soon!

The location was perfect for 2 adults 2 children and a dog..loved the beach..happy there were some chairs and Cary to wheel our supplies..had forgotten it is a driving beach but no problems..the pool was a wonderful respite after a day on the beach!..many floats to use..we would definitely return..

We had a great time with our family of 4 at this home. It is a smaller home on the block, so would not be good for more than 4-6 people. The private pool is fantastic, the heater was turned on for us on arrival (i did call to confirm many times). The home was very clean when we arrived. The walk to the beach is beautiful through the marsh. You cannot take a wagon through this area as there is a lot of hills and decking fyi. But it is close enough to bring just a few things, very close. To be noted, the porch is screened in, but with many holes. I did inform the management of this to be improved for our next visit as it is a safety issue. Things to bring: beach umbrella, small fans to sleep (there are ceiling fans), laundry basket, beach towels (there are a couple), pool toys/buckets. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Great place for family and plenty of space for a family. It was clean and comfortable. Pool was nicely heated too! We loved the direct private access to the beach. There really isn’t anything negative to say other than we would have like an additional roll of paper towels, garbage bags, toilet paper, and a spray/cleaner to clean off the stove and counters. The primary bed, while comfortable, had a a board in between the mattress and box spring that stuck out that is a bit dangerous to which we kept running our leg into. Maybe add a more comfortable outdoor couch for the outdoor pool area. Thanks!!

Beautiful ocean front home with amazing views. The beds were all comfortable. The pool was amazing. The screened porch was a little slice of heaven to eat meals and look at the ocean. Customer service was attentive. The only slight issue was there were loose light fixtures in the screened in porch that need repair. Thank you for hosting our Spring Break in this wonderful property. We’ll be back!

We had four adults and it seemed fine for us but any more people may have been crowded. It was colder weather so we did not spend much time on the beach or use the outside area which added some space. We visited in February and the price for the space seemed a bit much. Smaller home compared to others on the block. Great location. Beach access and close to food/town.

This was a great house and we had a great time overall but Vacasa is a TERRIBLE, USELESS property management company. I called 3 days ahead of our check-in to request the pool heater be turned on as instructed, since it takes 3 days to heat up. I sent several follow up messages to confirm. Upon arrival the pool was not heated and the front door was jammed and we were unable to get in. We finally forced our way in and I called Vacasa that evening to remedy both issues. Vacasa never did anything about either issue. I sent messages and called every day, all day of our stay and they never sent anyone out. We had to basically leave the front door open the entire time so we wouldn’t get locked out. Furthermore the reason I rented this house was for the heated pool that turns out we couldn’t use. Even if they had sent someone out the first day we could have eventually used the pool. But no one ever came. We are lucky we didn’t break the front door because we had to force our way in every time. Again, no one was sent out to fix either thing despite my CONSTANT messaging and calls. The incompetency of Vacasa is astounding. They could not have cared less.
OWNERS GET A NEW PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY. This is a great house and could have been perfect but the property management company is useless. If you are renting this house and expect to use the pool - make sure you are going in the warm months, otherwise the pool is useless.

Fan sparks came off the twin bedroom ceiling fan our first night. Power in other bedroom, bathroom, hallway and some outlets in living room didn't work.
Also the two tvs wouldn't work . We reset the breaker but it tripped again and sparked again. We contacted Vacasa and other managers 4 times .Nobody returned calls or came to fix. The smoke detector was gone.
Because of the safety concerns we left before spending our other night. We LOVED everything else about the home!

When we arrived there were numerous light bulbs that were burnt out. I did notify manager but no one ever came to change anything. We also had a the outside hose had to be turned off because it broke and I wrote manager that day and didnt hear anything back from company for 2 days.

Beautiful house. Beautiful location. Needs to be cleaned. Very dusty, needs light bulbs replaced, tub was nasty with hair and it was holding water. Maintenance (very nice guy) did come and fix that problem, otherwise we loved it.

The propety was very nice. We spent a lot of time on the back porch which had beautiful ocean views. We also enjoyed lounging in the pool. The house was very close to historic St. Augustine. We would stay here afain and hope to in the near future.

We enjoyed everything about this house
It’s a short walk to the beach I was able to enjoy the sun rise on the beach every morning
The family enjoyed the heated pool and evenings on the screened porch
It’s just a block A1A. giving you easy access to old town st Augustine, the alligator far, light house ,shopping and so much more
We hope on staying again next year

This house is a bit dated and not as well maintained as it should be for the price. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms are very small. However, we still liked the beach, pool and screened porch. I would have given the house a 3-star review, if it were not for the property manager Vacasa. They are a train wreck. One of the two toilets in the house was broken when we arrived. Despite repeated phone calls, texts and assurances by Vacasa representatives that a plumber would be sent to fix the toilet, no plumber ever came during the entire week we were there. One Vacasa local representative even used the F word when he blamed others at Vacasa and the plumber for the lack of response. I was astounded at his lack of professionalism. I will never rent a house that is managed by Vacasa again.

Just got back yesterday - family of 5 including 3 adult children.
Views from this home are fabulous! Pictures are accurate - home is well-decorated/very cute and it was clean upon our arrival. Kitchen has everything you need - we cooked every night and had no issues finding utensils, pots, pans, salt/pepper ++. Pretty sure oven was brand new. There was a good number of beach accessories (4-5 chairs, soccer tent, several balls, wagon) but we had our own. Be mindful that this is an older property but it does click the majority of the boxes for most - book this for the views and the price!! We did have a couple of issues upon arrival - 1) main door wouldn't open and sliding door wouldn't lock. 2) pool wasn't heated as I requested 3 days prior - yet Vacasa was quick to respond to my texts and sent Don who fixed everything quickly and with a great attitude! There is a resident turtle you will/should see on your walk from the home to the beach - he is an added bonus and adorable!

My wife and I and our golden retriever recently spent a very enjoyable week at the Gypsy Belle, just south of St. Augustine Beach, FL. The house was beautifully decorated and well-equipped and conveniently located near sites, shops and restaurants just up the road. Long walks on the broad and dog-friendly beach were just what we were looking for.

The pathway to a quiet and beautiful beach, great sand, quaint interior, great porch and the pool is the center of attraction! I want to give it 5 stars, but I can’t! If only the management will take care of the little things like: missing shelves in bathrooms, broken towels bars, clinging around the pool, outdoor fan broken, inside outlets not working, not enough garbage bags, only 2 tide pod’s especially when the guests are expected to wash and dry the beach towels before departure. Also, there is no way that someone can sleep in the top bunk beds because of the unstoppable ceiling fan running literally over the beds which by the way it’s a safety hazard! We had a clogged toilet when we arrived to the house, we tried to call somebody but nobody answered. We left an emergency message but nobody reached back until almost 24 hrs later, via e-mail. We were 4 adults that ended up talking turns to the only bathroom left! This was a big inconvenience.
We expected at least a follow up call however, contacting Vacasa is almost impossible. Also, we were offered one extra day at 50% off due to being a day gap between us and the next guests. It took 6 e-mails back and forth with Vacasa staff as the pricing was not matching to the offer. They do not respond in real time, it takes at least a day for them to get back to you and by the time we said that we would like to book the extra day the price doubled as we reached the “4 days before the trip” mark. At that point it was not worth the trouble.
Overall, we made it a good experience however, at the nightly rate we paid it could have been excellent. If these details mentioned above would be talking care of we would return to Gipsy Belle. The house has GREAT potential! If the owner reads this review we would have one suggestion: get a local Management company to look after the guests.

The property is cute and just what we were looking for but needs major maintenance. If you want a beach cottage this property fits the bill as long as things work. When we arrived the kitchen and master bath were not clean. Also, the pool was not filled up enough, windows won't stay open, sliding door stuck, garbage disposal broken, dryer broken, towel bars broken and kitchen sink leaks. Its too bad because everything else about this property is great!

This was our first time visiting St. Augustine and absolutely loved the property and location! We were close to everything. The screened porch was our favorite spot to enjoy quality family time, and we loved walking out to the beach for each sunrise. Would definitely stay here again!!

I really wanted to love this home. Unfortunately, we had an awful experience from the time we arrived until we left. The lack of cleaning was unacceptable. The refrigerator and freezer were dirty, coffee pots dirty, pool was dirty, previous guests damp swimsuits left in the home, there was trash all around the pool area and two piles of dirty laundry and sheets were left in the dryer and still wet. The AC also appeared to not be cooling. I contacted Vacasa and was told someone from local staff would reach out to me ASAP. No one ever got back to us the entire time we were there even after multiple messages to them. We kept getting the same reply. We finally got someone from Vacasa on the phone on our last night there. The temperature in the house was 80 degrees. We were told they couldn’t get anyone to come out until the following day, which was the day we were leaving. So, I genuinely hope it is rectified to the next guests. Also, the beds were the most uncomfortable we have ever slept on. The couch wasn’t any better. It takes a lot for me to complain. But, this was one of the worst experiences we have ever had with a vacation rental. It was not worth the price we paid especially considering I had to spend time cleaning upon our arrival to be able to function in the home.

The swimming pool was the best attribute. The 3 covered parking areas to keep vehicles was an extra as well. For 1050 SF, good space utilization. Kitchen fairly well equipped but a run to Publix or Walmart to purchase things may be necessary if a lot of meal preparation is performed. The TVs have a Chromecast dongle to cast your streaming services if basic Comcast cable is not desired. The place was not as clean as expected for the price. There was dog hair on the couch, outside porch rug and perhaps other places that led us to leave a day early because of allergic reaction. The beds were made with clean sheets and there were clean towels in the bathrooms. However, upon taking a load of clothes and towels down to the washer we found sheets in the washer and all manner of linens and towels in garbage bags. When it was all said and one, we probably washed more than our share because it was too difficult to parse out what was there pre-arrival and what we used. There should be a special instruction to new renters as to garbage schedule (it is included in the rental instructions but who studies that?) Three garbage cans were full but upon asking a resident about garbage pickup, we got the cans out for pickup. Back to positive aspects of the home. Don't let 1050SF of living space scare you away because the screened sunroom/porch is a wonderful gathering area for meals and games in the evening. I forgot to say how nasty the BBQ pit was....rusted out and dirty. The sitting area under cover by the pool was dirty with debris. It needed a shop vac to clean the blown debris accumulated along with the couch cushions. Overall, it was a fun time but in retrospect overpriced. Eric

Just perfect for what we wanted. The screened in porch offers a nice view of the ocean over the dune. Very brief walk over the dune and you’re on a beautiful beach. The beach house also offers covered parking for 2 cars. The beach house had all we needed for a relaxing vacation. No problems getting in; a text was sent during the day prior to checking in with the code for the lock which was user friendly. We’d go again.

Gypsy Belle was a really nice get away place. Right on the beach and with its own Pool. If you like to Ride bikes on the beach its great for the location with many different places to ride bikes to and eat. There is a Bike rental place about 2 blocks from the house so it makes it easy to rent bikes. Quint little place with a nice porch to sit down at in the morning and watch the sunrise as you drink your coffee. Really liked this place, we would defiantly stay here again. Thanks Justin

Need a getaway? A dip in the pool after a day surfing, boogie boarding or just reading on the beach? Thinking about fish tacos with a cold beverage while listening to music downtown?
I have just the place for you… The rental is close to everything you may need, with the amenities. Exceptional maintenance and comfortable accommodations, make a perfect get away.
Already planning my third visit next year.

Not pet OR person friendly. I read the reviews and the listing thoroughly before booking and the condition the property was in upon our arrival was unforgivable. We actually cut our vacation in half due to the state of the property. Here are just some of the things we experienced:
-floors had food/debris remaining from prior guest and laminate planks don’t connect in some places throughout the house (when staying with dogs this is dangerous).
-urine smell emanating from area rugs
-lawn was about 6-8 inches high and impossible to let the dogs near.
-we paid extra for the pool to be heated but couldn’t use it because the patio area was full of beach debris and bugs and no one appeared to have skimmed the pool in days.
-kitchen cabinets had grim and fingerprints and appeared to have never been cleaned.
Overall, too many pillows and bric-a-brac everywhere - generally wouldn’t be a bad thing but when not cleaned correctly or in this case ever it’s hard to look past.
Finally, during and after our stay we contacted the management company about all of this and more and have yet to hear back. If you are considering this property for a pet friendly vacation, my best advice would be to find another rental.

This property was perfect for us; in a beautiful location where the beach wasn’t too crowded and the layout of the house was great.
