Wonderful location close to everything. The hosts went out of their way to be accommodating and helpful. Very friendly!
I would have liked a little more choice in the breakfast area.

A great stay, really good communication, and hosts were friendly and helpful. The room was divine and the bathroom had everything you could want. There was also a fridge and plate area for tea and coffee making. I was staying for a local event and I have booked again for when I am in the area again. Highly recommended and there is a cafe next door with lots of treats. A local pub, a Fish and Chip shop, and a store for grocery supplies.
The only thing I didn't like which had nothing to do with the accommodation but the taxi cost quite a bit from the station, so it's worth bearing that in mind, especially for round trips or going on to other locations during your stay. It would be best to have a car. Also, lots of flying things come in when the windows are open so a net would also be a welcome addition.

Very helpful and attentive hosts. Spotlessly clean and lovely little touches like chocolates and fruit on arrival. The complementary coffee in the morning from the artisan coffee shop below was delicious. Couldn't fault it!

Very nice people, from SA. We stayed for a week at the end of August 2022. Beds were nice, we had twins. It was me and my son. Dogs barking in the next room (to the higher room) in the morning mostly but if you don't go to bed too late its not a problem. There are 2 doors between you and the hosts in the room we stayed in, which they remove to gain access, but that's after your stay. Lovely view out of our window. A sink and an air fryer would have been a good addition as I felt bad leaving dirty dishes for our hosts. Shower electric but worked well. Old house, but in good condition. Had Netflix and Amazon Prime on the small TV, kept my son occupied in the evening.
There's a mortice lock, and no night latch on the main door, but I guess it cuts down the chances of losing or locking yourself out when you go out. I think we didn't even lock the front door the first couple of nights (we were alone for the first 5 days). A sign on the door or something so both rooms agree to lock the front door each time would be good. Anyone could just walk in off the street otherwise. If adding a night latch 2 x key safes outside the entrance with spare keys would be good, just let people know the code of their room's key safe and its super easy to change the codes.
