A lot of construction happening right now. Good location overall.

The staff was incredible! But they only had 1 restaurant available. The other was being remodeled. Also, one side of the hotel was getting renovated so during the day, my baby struggled taking his naps. You can hear it through the entire hotel. The lighting in the rooms were also terrible. There was minimal privacy between the toilet room, bathroom, and bedroom area. If I was needed to use the restroom, the light was beaming into the room causing my family to be woken up. The rooms also had a stench of an old building. The only thing we liked was the amazing staff, breakfast options, & beach.

Pool was okay but the beach made up for it. The service was amazing. We loved every part of their customer service

The property was beautiful, but it was very difficult to feel comfortable in the pool with the iquana's, especially when i witnessed one pooping in the pool. Didn't see any iguana's anywhere else, not sure why you have them on your property.

Beautiful pool area and the grounds are nicely landscaped with palm trees, giving the property a true resort environment. Private beach with cabanas and a nice view of the bay and the old city area of Puerto Vallarta. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and decently appointed (not brand-brand new but also not dated) and have a balcony area to sit and view the pool and a partial view of the bay (mine was on the 6th floor). Staff was very helpful and always super friendly. There were fewer dining options during the off season, but the main restaurant was nice and has a sufficient variety of menu options if you don't want to leave the resort. My response to any negative reviews is to consider how Karens are going to hate or have unrealistic expectations; this is a nice 4-star hotel. Based on my experience, I would certainly enjoy staying here again.

While the facilities are nice and the working staff is great, the noise due to in progress construction was frustrating. Trying to relax by the pool through the day felt like being at a construction site with hammering and drilling noises constantly. A manager did call to offer to move us to a room with a nicer view to say thanks for putting up with the noise. That was a generous offer, but I explained that packing up and moving would have added more inconvenience, so I declined. I was hoping he would have been creative and came up with another alternative, but he simply said thank you and provided no other offers to express their appreciation.

Love the hotel and the staff. It had construction next door to my room, and it was noisy, but other than that, it was fantastic.

Nice hotel. Pool water was too warm (not their fault - really hot in PV that time of year). Unfortunately for me, there was one single specific construction area - a temporary "box" sticking out of the structure which emitted extremely loud banging noises all day long, and it was directly above my room. A bit odd that the hotel was at least half empty, yet they assigned me a room right under the floor of the construction.

We liked all the landscaping, the pools and the beach access, over all nice and clean.

This hotel is undergoing construction work but still assigning guest rooms to construction areas at normal rates. It made it a very uncomfortable stay.
Staff should also be more respectful with guests.

I thought the staff was fantastic. They were very friendly and helpful. They worked hard to keep everything going. I didn't know they were renovating so we heard construction going on all day long. The pool is slippery with so many undulations that I was worried about my family slipping and falling. The rooms are old and dated. I'm not a fan of wet tile. too dangerous. Not a big fan of the Iguanas crapping in and around the pool. Personally I like the Mariott better.

Nothing wrong with the property...beautiful facility. Food quality and service were amazing. Drinks were incredibly overpriced ($9 for a boxed water, cocktails too). Overall value was decent, but would likely stay elsewhere if i ever went to mexico again (prices in mexico have significantly increased)

Great pool area, dinner was fantastic, breakfast brunch was just okay. Service is a little slow but otherwise good. Fire alarm went off one night and we lost WiFi one morning but otherwise it was a very nice stay. My only complaint was the kids didn’t seem to stay to the kids pool

We had an amazing 5 night stay here at the Westin. My kids had a blast. Transportation to the central was cheap and easy and we could come back to peace here at the hotel!!! We will def return

Resort fee is quoted in US$ but charged in MX$. It is supposed to be a fixed amount but changes everyday because of conversion factor. This should be communicated upfront at the time of booking.

We had an amazing experience at this hotel. Staff was extremely attentive and kind.

I need to comment on something about the private beach first, because it’s important and doesn’t match the review categories well. On our last full day, a lot of garbage (including an actual steak knife, bottle caps and plastic, and disgusting brown bubbles/slime) started washing up on the beach while we were swimming. Previously the beach had been pristine. I suspect this has something to do with the proximity to the marina and the arrival of cruise ships. Relating any further details turns my stomach. I threw away my swimsuit and showered for half an hour. I honestly don’t know what to say. That will haunt my dreams…
Anyway, other than that, it honestly was a wonderful hotel with great facilities and fantastic staff.
