Book in was mediocre. The chap also didn’t take my car registration details. So I could have easily ended up with a parking fine. Pretty average hotel.

Short but sweet, really comfortable bed and super clean room
3.0 / 10.0
Very disappointed to find the toilet had not been cleaned would expect more from such a standard of hotel. Also had real problems trying to close the window as the mechanism was broke. Service was good but cooked breakfast could have been fresher (eggs were like rubber). Won’t bother stay here again.

Huge room which was well appointed. Beautiful smell when you entered the lobby. Efficient check in and good service in the bar.

Communication from reception was awful. Its such a shame as it was a lovely hotel. Service has to be throughout the hotel in order for it to be a successful stay.
10.0 / 10.0
A comfortable, enjoyable stay. The rooms are spacious, have separate showers and baths, breakfast is yummy and at good times, and there are good spa facilities and good gym equipment.
A good base for Cambridge and its surroundings.

Good hotel, with buffet breakfast. Staff were friendly. Easy check in/out. Near a bus stop, so easy to get to Cambridge.

Great stay friendly staff

The housekeeping was a joke. For a 5 nights stay they never cleaned the bathroom (just changed the towels and the toilet paper) and never changed the bed. They took the garbage from the room though, daily . You have to get used to live in your own dirt.
Breakfast was average with limited choices. Restaurant offered outstanding food of superb quality and taste, but the menu was limited. The gym is way above average and top notch for the level of the hotel. The SPA was superb and offered the best in class products. If you want a superior SPA you truly have to struggle to find one. WiFi was excellent and stable. The staff in general was young and inexperienced, but the tried their best.

Hotel was good. We had double room no air conditioning luckily it wasn't 30 degrees when we stayed. Apart Morrisons there's nothing walking distance you have to go by car or bus. Spa facilities changing facilities was small. It wasn't in a great condition but it was ok

Lovely hotel for a one night stop. Comfortable room with all amenities. Chose to eat at the restaurant which was quite expensive though very pleasant setting and friendly staff.

We took a dog, paid £25 a night, was given no facilities for dog, such as bowl, dog bed ect.
The room was so hot didn't sleep first night, asked for fan and non showed up, got one the second night after asking again.
The extractor fan in bathroom didn't work, so all the hot steam would go into the room. Was told that that maintenance isn’t working on every day we asked about it, which was Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Was given no option to change rooms to make the stay more comfortable. Would not think this is a 4 star hotel.

The room got quite warm, lack of air conditioning or a fan and only being able to open the window slightly due to the window lock didn’t help to cool it down!
The fridge in the room didn’t work, but other than that the room facilities were nice and included anything that you needed.
The spa facilities were okay - they were clean.

I stayed here for a business event in Cambridge- decent hotel with plenty of space in the room and everything you need. The only minor downside was there was nobody on reception early check out as the night porter was busy getting himself a coffee and was quite rude, but let’s be honest we all have bad days
Little bit further from town than I needed and could probably have for somewhere more central with the money it cost in taxis but that’s my bad planning.

Nice hotel and friendly staff.
Windows and mirrors in need of a clean. Wouldn’t expect to see cobwebs

Lovely place overall, the area near lake could have been abit more tidier. Grass cut etc.
Would recommend though.

We had a 2 night stay whilst in Cambridge and was hoping to have a day of spa treatments and using the facilities but not really a lot of choice with treatments. Everything was approx £100 not really suitable to create your own experience. Pool etc was extremely busy with general public paying members. Our view from the room was a flat top roof but the room itself was fine. Hotel and customer service was wonderful.

Had a fantastic stay here, food amazing.
Service at Breakfast was too efficient as cleared away table before we'd even finished, even took my phone and key card while i was refilling my coffee!!!
overall brilliant hotel

Average property but good value. I didn't like being on second floor with our dog. Also no bins for dog waste.

Property condition and cleanliness were great. Staff were friendly but had a couple of issues.
Room type ordered through Expedia wasn’t given and Expedia could not get in contact with the hotel to support initially.
When dining the food was lovely but there was a debacle with the table next to us from what I gather and waitstaff seemed to stay away from us due to this fact. Waited two hours to be served one course, given dessert menus but waited 45 minutes to flag someone down then eventually gave up.
Happy with everything other than this and bar staff were more than friendly.

The Cambridge Belfry Hotel & Spa is perfect all around.
Apart from the fridge which was not working in room 221, everything was very satisfactory.

Room would benefit from air con or even a fan room was in full sun room could have had windows open and curtains closed

Really nice stay, great receptionist! A bit pissed off I couldn’t get into the restaurant ! Didn’t get option to book on check in,
Fully booked although a hour later still tables available ! Maybe the host didn’t like me in flip flops I don’t know , anyway there loss I went elsewhere

Hotel staff are very helpful.
The room was nice but no air con, so very hot and stuffy.
Spa area is tiered and needs a good refit to remove water damaged walls. Changing rooms are small and cramped, with communal changing….not aways convenient.

Two night stay over a weekend. We found the bed to be far too firm and the room was boiling hot, even with windows open. Room was otherwise fine but nothing special. Second night was an absolute nightmare - wedding party went on until midnight and noise was ridiculous. We were unable to open windows due to the noise. Our kids were kept up until the party ended as party-goers were sat drinking outside in the courtyard next to our rooms window. Hotel apologised and agreed it was unreasonable to have not been able to move us or at least warn us in advance so we could actually sleep!! Won’t return and wouldn’t recommend. £510 for 2 nights in a junior suite. Don’t bother.

Great hotel with really good spa and gym facilities. Would definitely stay again.

Not the best service at dinner time. Were asked to eat in the bar not the restaurant but then a couple arriving later were sat in the restaurant. Had a significant wait for our drinks although food came quicker. Had to get our own cutlery from the restaurant. I had the sea bass with mussels and then was up for the second half of the night with dreadful food poisoning.

Lovely staff. Made to feel very welcome. Food was amazing. Feel minor point....shower door was broken and there was a lot of timescale in the runner. Apart from that loved it! Will be back

Arrived late, so didn't get chance to use the pool, room was a good standard with a comfortable bed, so will definitely book again.
Brandon on the front desk was most professional, definitely worth a promotion

Hotel was nice, quiet and clean. Most staff friendly. Only slight issue was I was with my mum who has mobility issues and the rotary doors meant we had to wait outside for a while to get in as reception were busy as only one on the desk. In the end another guest sorted out the door for us. When i checked in the guy on the desk was very polite and helpful arranging for us to have a room with a shower rather than bath and checking if we wanted accessible room. The room was very warm though. Not much that could be done about that as no air con

Room was extremely hot, the heat hit you as you opened the door
2.0 / 10.0
It became apparent that our room was next the the lifts and stairwell and so we could hear throughout the night when they were being used. Told reception the next morning and the only comment we got was that she "would let them know". No apology.

I was staying in cambridge that night for my cousins 65th Birthday party. We arrived and the room was not ready! We had to wait in the bar for over an hour and even then the guy on reception forgot to come and tell us that it was finally ready at 16.50pm!!!
Then the room had no air conditioning unit, so we had a terrible nights sleep in the heat. I expected a much batter experience for the rate of £160 per night.

Love your property for a short stay. Checking with smooth and easy and registering your car was very easy to do.
Breakfast was a very good quality and plenty of choice.
Clean, comfortable and well sized rooms.
The pool whilst included was small and had lessons on so it was not very easy to use after a busy day on the road

It felt quite luxurious- enjoyed the busy feel- lots going on- very polite staff- good evening meal
