The interior and facilities have a retro charm, but they are well-maintained and clean, so there's no issue. However, the parking lot is adjacent to the building, which made it feel a bit noisy at times.

Hotel was situated very close to Happo one, though it was a little bit of an uphill slope going back. Rooms were clean and surprisingly spacious.

Basic standard room. Good hot bath. Snack shop, whole place very old school. Building from 70’s my guess. Well kept up, easy storage for skiing stuff

The room is small and old. Renovation is required. The price included two meal and all you can drink alcohol. Public bath is open aired. Overall, value for money choice.

It was my 1st time in Japan hakuba skiing ! Miki and other staff was super helpful and show great hospitality , love the simple room nothing fancy . The outdoor hot spring was great and buffet style breakfast and dinner ! However, there no shuttles service so either you take taxi from happo terminal bus stop or walk 20min up hill..
It 5min walk down hill to Happo one which is great , but everytime you go back hotel you will have to hike back up again so just a heads up..

Acceptably comfortable

Believe it or not, I liked the name so much that it was the first reason to book this place. The breakfast hall was a bit away from the front desk but I liked that I could park so close to the hotel.

Great hotel with very friendly staff. However, the nearby skiing field entrance was closed. This has caused a bit of troubles to going to the skiing field from the hotel

Great hotel with very friendly staff. Great dinner. Close to skiing field entrance. However, the skiing field has decided NOT to close that entrance gate, which causes a bit of troubles to enter the skiing field

Located in a far uphill area with large carpark. Staff service quality varies from person to person. I had need for urgent matter and Ayano and Matsuda gave me execellent help than a 5 star concerige could have done.Better comminication is needed especially with from the hotel and senior staff in addressing needs usually required by travellers. No water boiler no larger hair blowers, just simply make it loud upfront. The hotel has aged and the carpet floor is filthy and toilet stinky.

We were in Hakuba for two nights and we loved staying at Hotel Paipu No Kemuri! In addition to being a five minute walk from the closest ski lift, the hotel also offered a small discount on lift tickets and rental pick up services. We would also highly recommend the breakfast and dinner - it was super convenient and a great value.Great overall experience, would stay here again!

Very close to skiing field. But if the nearby entrance chairlift is not open, then this would be quite a walk to the main entrance

Good price and really near Happo ski field, breakfast and dinner are good

Close to the skiing field. However, the skiing field has NOT opened the nearby chairlifts and no pressing of the snows on the path. Make it hard to access the skiing field everyday from this hotel

Surprised the dinner buffet comes with all you can drink alcohol. Food was decent for the price. Just know that you have to be on-time for dinner or else they clear out at the time they mentioned. Rooms are old but decent size.

Very good hotel. Location is a bit far out and the meal serving is average. But the staff are very very friendly

Rooms were a bit dated, but staff and location were top notch... ski lift is a very short distance away

Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Great location if skiing at Happo-one but bit of a walk up hill from shuttle bus with ski boots if returning from a different ski resort. Breakfast and dinner great and excellent value for money. Outside onsen was nice after day skiing. Unfortunately no room service on a 7 night stay however we also didn’t ask. Great place to stay overall and excellent value for money.

Fantastic location. The buffet breakfast and dinner options made it for a very convenient stay.

We really enjoyed staying here. Having the buffet breakfast and dinner made life very easy. Didn't have to worry about where to find dinner as it is a little way away from restaurants. Agree with what others have said that the breakfast can get a little same same after a few days. Not a great deal to choose from for western palettes but it is enough to get the day started. Dinners are decent with free beer, wine, sake and our favourite, a Scotch and soda mix. Very close to the Evergreen ski school.

This hotel was an absolute treat. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, going above and beyond all expectations. The room was warm, comfortable and clean. The shower had surprisingly the best water pressure I've had on our entire trip - super powerful! They also have an onsen/spa inside the hotel. The hotel was also very close to the Adams gondola (main gondola) to Happo-one ski slopes in Hakuba, and right across the road from one of the chairlifts on the slopes such that you could ski right infront of the hotel. All in all, highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again next time we're in Hakuba. Thanks so much for everything!

The hotel is a simple no frills hotel but for that price you really cannot complain. The front counter staff were really friendly and helpful with our queries and gave good suggestions on which ski slopes to go for. The room was decent but the beds were not very comfortable.Everything was clean and tidy though. Toilet was small but all the toiletries were provided and sufficient. Tried the hot spa and enjoyed it. Though the front counter staff made it clear to us that it is a spa and not an onsen. Couldn't tell the difference anyway. The location of the hotel is good in that it is very close to the gondola and another ski chair lifts. However there is a slope down from the hotel to the gondola. May not be easy to walk up and down that slope with the ski boots on. The breakfast and dinner were ok, for our family. Be aware of the closing times of the breakfast. Woke up late on our first day there and missed breakfast altogether.
