The appartement is big, comfortable but also cozy at the same time. Which was really convenient with our small baby. It was close to the train station and there is a big super market and plenty of restaurants close by. The host Bob was really friendly and helpful, he drove us to the gondola, and picked us up after we enjoyed the 360 restaurant. Bob and his wife went out of their way to give us a comfortable stay. We look forward to coming back one day, to the Hakuba Ski Condos.

If I could give this place a million gold stars, I would. In order of importance (for us, anyway):
1. The owner, Bob, is an absolute gem. He's a Canadian ex-pat and long-time resident of Hakuba, so if you're in Japan for the first time, and have limited knowledge of the language and customs, he's an invaluable resource. Bob gave us recommendations for the best ski resorts, restaurants, and local attractions like onsen. He drove us to all of the above and picked us up. One of the most useful suggestions was shipping our snowboards to Haneda airport instead of having to schlep them around Tokyo with us. He came with us to the transport facility and helped us fill out the shipping forms. One of the really special, personal touches was the homemade apple cakes that his wife made; perfect with yogurt for pre-snowboard breakfast. In short, Bob is awesome!
2. Location. In walking distance from the main drag, but not in the middle of it so, very quiet at night. It's right across the street from Hakuba station so we were able to access transport to Nagano and Tokyo via walking. Plenty of grocery stores and restaurants nearby as well.
3. Facilities. These suites are spacious and well appointed. By Japanese standards, bathrooms are huge. The kitchens are well-stocked, and beds comfy with warm, cloud-like down comforters. View from rooftop is jaw-dropping. We enjoyed sunrises and sunset apres from there. There is a grill and plenty of seating as well, so if you are so inclined, could cook out.
This wasn't an issue for us, but there's no elevator, so difficult to access for those who may have physical challenges.

Our host Bob picked us up at the Bus Depot. He was really friendly and approachable. We used WhatsApp to communicate. He gave us heaps of info about the facilities and info about the surrounding area (shops and restaurants). He couldn't have been more helpful ☺️
3 flights of stairs to our condo (but obviously this couldn't be changed!!!)
It was hard to find using Google Maps, we used "Gohan Bar" as our search address (great bar by the way)

This is a great place to stay, much more room than a hotel. Bed super comfy and apartment very warm. Close to transport and many dining options. Bob was a great host giving lots of advice and assistance like giving us a lift to slope if we requested. I would definitely stay again.

The host was extremely hospitable and assisted us in many ways including ski resort transfers and local restaurant recommendations and bookings. The mountain view from the room is something special.

No complaints. All fantastic

The spaciousness. The views. The cleanliness. The exceptional host.
The apartment is super spacious and well equipped with everything you need. We were a family of 4 and had more than enough room to enjoy the time. There is a ski room in the basement and a heated room for storing boots.
Bob, the owner, goes more than the extra mile to provide a memorable stay to his guests - a shuttle service to the slopes is included. Bob knows the good ski shops, the best onsen, good restaurants and is generally a very good source for all kind of information one might need during the stay. Thank you Bob, we had a super nice week.

Owners are very nice. Bob and his wife gave us a very warm welcome. A very nice place to stay. A very magnificent view at the rooftop to see the mountain range in Hakuba. Bob also drove us to the gondala by his car in the morning. This place is very foreigners friendly due to I can use English to communicate. Room is very spacious and amenities and things in the room are very good.

Bob and Mayumi were absolutely wonderful hosts! They completely took care of us all week taking us to and from the slopes each day. They were thoughtful and caring and we can't wait to go back! A special place run by special people. The place is spacious, heaps of room, there is a supermarket within 10 minutes walk, there are restaurants within 5 minutes walk and the ski rental place is also less than 10 mins walk. The rental place delivers to the condo so you are never carrying your own gear. Everything gets taken care of. The views of Happo One are breathtaking! There is a games room in the basement with ping pong etc and the roof is awesome to make snow angels with the kids.
The view... just kidding! That was breathtaking too!

The view of the mountains was exceptional. The game & movie room was thoroughly enjoyed by the kids.
The path to the entrance was poorly lit and uneven. The steep stairs have no handrail.

The view of the Japanese Alps from the condo is gorgeous and you can enjoy it from the kitchen. Bob is so helpful and provided all the utensils we need for shabu shabu and yakiniku! Bob also offered to carry our luggages up the staircase (the condos has no lift) but I have no trouble to carry myself. The condo has everything we need for a family of four. The interior is quite spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. Like it and will stay here again when we return to Hakuba.
Nothing.

We loved this place. It is very elegantly designed, Cozy but spacious, luxurious and upscale. Right in the town but still peaceful.
You can see the mountains from the dining table and see the vast expanse from the terrace.
The kitchen is very well equipped and so are the beds with clean linen.
Bob, the owner, is very cooperative.
We enjoyed the BBQ on the terrace.
We highly recommend this property.
