This is our go-to hotel for Los Angeles on Sunset Blvd. There is a very cool rock & roll theme to the space, an area for live music, pizza and they even give you a complimentary couple cocktails for happy hour. It is across the street from the world-famous Comedy Store and in close proximity to West Hollywood bars and Rodeo Drive. Very clean rooms and friendly staff.

Rooms clean & comfortable
But additional room taxes were unexpected & extreme.
No in room coffee; very basic
Disappointing

Super cool place, very nice pool - just a great place to stay on the strip

Friendly employees. Margarita Hour rocked! Excellent location.

Hotel Ziggy is a cute, clean and funky place to stay. Loved the decor and our room had a back door that opened to the pool area!

The location on Sunset Blvd is downright dangerous. We had to circle around the block several times before being able to safely get out of our car. The valet was busy and couldn’t help. It’s right on Sunset without an obvious driveway and near a curve so visibility is limited. Other guests had the same experience. Bed was old and sagging in the middle. No blanket to speak of, just a very thin comforter. Morning breakfast is very limited. No decaf or tea. No fruit. Very meh experience.

If you are looking for a quiet hotel this is not the place. They characterize as an “events” hotel but what does that even mean?? I will tell you, live music every night until midnight with the sound vibrating the floors.

If you love rock & roll this is the hotel. A little pricey & totally bougie but safe neighborhood, easy to walk . Room was okay. Clean & interesting design choices. Bed just okay but wonderful shower. Terrific restaurant downstairs for $30. eggs, potato & sausage plate. Veg but not vegan available.

This was our second stay at Ziggy. We had been looking forward to staying again but were a bit disappointed this time.
A long line at reception to checkin & just one person working the desk.
When we raised with the receptionist that our room didn’t match the photos for the room on the listing in hotels.com his response was “you should never book a room based on photos” & was completely dismissive. The same receptionist a few days later didn’t even look up from his computer screen when we asked if the valet was around.
Parking is steep at $65 a night, there’s a fee for hi-speed internet, we couldn’t get the complimentary wifi to work & there’s even a $5 delivery fee if you order room service online.
The pool remains awesome, the room is a good size & it’s a great location. The valet staff were very helpful
& polite. It’s a pity the service has gone downhill since last time we stayed. I’m not sure we’ll stay again

Good location and amenities. My only issue is I wanted some quiet time in the evening before calling it a night, only to have bands playing until midnight. Was ok on a Saturday night, but not Monday night for a 345am Tuesday morning wake up. Disclosure before booking would have been helpful before I took that risk, considering my room was apparently above the stage.

Hotel Ziggy is cool as can be and offers a great location on Sunset. Walking distance to Mels Diner and other LA highlights.
Very much a rock n roll hotel so be aware of weekend partying. Updated, comfortable with great service. Pricey but so is most of West Hollywood. Not sure I'll stay again as I am over 50 but I'd recommend to my kids for sure.

The good is that the poolside rooms are nice because you can literally walk out your door and be on the pool deck. We did this every morning as that was really the only time we were able to enjoy it due to the large pool parties happening in the evening (watch out for the mosquitos though). The parties weren't really our vibe (3 moms trying to get away for a weekend here) and we didn't realize that there would be parties both nights we stayed. I'd suggest if you are over 30, have kids with you, or feel weird hanging out with 50 young dudes in thongs, find a different hotel. They don't have an ice machine and it says to call the front desk for ice, which I did and was told it would be brought to our room but it never was. The ac in our room did not blow cold so the room was super stuffy and hot as it was about 90° during the day. When we opened the window we were suprised to find there was no screen so the mosquitoes became a problem in the room as well. The bathroom window also had no screen and wouldn't close all the way. For what we paid for this room I was disappointed. The bartender was nice and so was the valet guy that helped us to our room because there were no carts. Front desk staff seemed bothered to stop their conversation to help us. Location wasn't bad. It seems like this area has been cleaned up a bit. Not the worst stay but it could have been better. I still have the welts from mosquito bites to remind me of my stay.

We booked through Expedia and there was no mention of parties at the property. Yes we did not check their website but we wish it was more advertised and that way we would have picked a different hotel. We didn’t appreciate the loudness and long hours of these parties. The people at the door were super friendly and helpful. And the room was clean however there was a urine type smell coming from the AC. Also be sure to bring your own water bottle as they only give one bottle of water for the whole stay.

Super cool hotel with a great vibe and pool, but there’s not a ton to do that’s close. Expect to be using transit or Uber a lot.

Check in was great. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Parking cost is not mentioned until you arrive at the hotel and it is $65, valet only.
Margarita hour at the bar was really nice and the food was great. The lunch server was outstanding.
The hallway to our room reeked like weed the whole stay which seeped into our room. That smell is not usually a big deal for me but it was extremely strong. The room was pretty spacious and nice, but we had ants all over our bathroom.
Tried to take advantage of the $25 breakfast credit the next morning. Sat down at the restaurant and the waitress said she’d be back to take our order. We waited for 20 minutes before we decided to just leave, so the $25 credit went to waste.

Great staff, fabulous vibe. Parking is criminally overpriced. Music and food are fantastic.

Everything was fantastic. We stayed in one of the rooms by the pool and it was fun to have access to our room at all times. Service was great - totally recommend

Great atmosphere!
Enjoyed the free marguaritas in the afternoon.
Only suggestion is to have more long chairs at the poolside

If you want a trendy, overpriced boutique hotel, book your stay here. Pros: great location on the sunset strip, DJs at the pool all weekend (if that’s your vibe), Instagrammable spots throughout the common spaces. Cons: absurd up charges for subpar hospitality. You have to call and schedule turndown service and request clean towels yourself. The price advertised is far less than what you actually pay with a nightly incidental fee, valet parking, etc. Staff were less than warm and helpful, and we barely bothered them. It wasn’t the worst, just know what you’re paying for before staying here.

Great funky music vibes type of hotel. Check in was great as the staff fully explained everything.

Loved everything especially the happy hour specials and the live entertainment! Staff was superb! Room was fabulous. Wished they offered a microwave to use. Pool could’ve used some cleaning ( just debris from the environment) Otherwise we loved it.

Our room looked like a studio apartment. Bed confy. Batheroom modern and spcious. Vallet was kinda pricey but worth it to know your car was safe. We ubered. It took less than 2min for a driver each time we requested one. Resturant menu was decent. Great bar. Live music. Fun pool area. This hotel was lots of fun. Staff was friendly and helpful....

Property asthetic is very nice. Pool area very nice as well. Parking, 65 a night for guests..pretty steep. Bathroom in room was gross, small tiles were sticky and we put a towel down. Corners of bedsheets had some small stains. Dluble beds were small.

Its decorated super cool. Lots of photo opportunities at the hotel. The pool has pool floats and plenty of beds to lay on. We will definitely be coming back.

Pros:
Great location, rooms and staff.
Cons: old building odor, $65 mandatory Valet Parking charge, staff does not reply to emails for lost and found and in my opinion not good for kids since they have pool parties that are not kid friendly.

Such a unique hotel! Beautiful but still comfortable, and right in the middle of everything. The service, from the valet to the front desk, was perfect
4.0
For the price, this hotel does not meet the standards you’d expect in service and quality. The staff were not trained in hospitality, the rooms were old, and daily cleaning had to be requested.

Great place to stay. Will definitely stay here again.
