Room nice and warm. Mattresses a little bumpy.

Solo traveller who had asked for a quiet room. On arrival the welcoming staff told me they had been able to oblige. The single room had everything that one would get in a twin or double room which was great as some hotels provide single rooms with poor facilities. The room was spotless, the breakfast and service excellent. Great location too.

Amazing helpful and friendly staff

Good central hotel, comfortable with helpful friendly staff.

This is a tired hotel and the room was okay but nothing special. The shower was fixed without a gooseneck and dated, and the toiletries had no element of luxury. The carpet was worn and it had seen better days. Noise and loud chatter was heard from the nearby room, not satisfactory.
The bed was comfortable and extra pillows were brought up fairly quickly when requested. The breakfast was poor and substandard. The refilling of the buffet was slow and all they had for coffee was instant Nescafé, which is very much under-delivering on the Mercure brand. I recently stayed at a budget hotel and it had soya milk, catered more for dietary requirements and the bathroom was more clean and modern. The Mercure breakfast was on a par with that sort of hotel. I would not be rushing back to stay there again given the choice and range of accommodation options in Aberdeen.

Great Staff

The premises and the neighborhood are charming, but the night staff was outstanding. My friend left her cell phone in our Edinburgh hotel. When she explained the situation to the man on Mercure Aberdeen's night desk, without asking, he was kind enough to contact the hotel in Edinburgh, ask them to look for it, and then put it aside for my friend to pick up upon our return. We were so appreciative!

Bathroom very old and floor not level. Stair railings ornate and lovely. Room was clean.
2.0
Threadbare and dirty carpets, chair in the room was filthy, peeling wallpaper on walls and ceiling, one window would only open 4 inches, the other wouldn’t stay open at all which isn’t great in a room with no air conditioning, shower head fell apart. A very old and tired hotel that needs time and money spent on it. Much better available nearby for the same or similar cost. I’d give 5 stars to the person who took the photos for the website, they’re clearly very talented at showing something below par in its best light.

A good city centre hotel. Comfortable and convenient. Staff friendly and room comfortable. Breakfast was excellent!

Needs USB ports in rooms. Parking is poor.

Room was dingy , noisy and worst bed ive ever slept in. Solid and on wheels so it moved when you lay on it. The room was also noisy all through the night with people coming and going

The property is very rundown and not in good condition.
Our room door had been damaged and was repaired with Glue and Staples???
The bathroom is extremely dated and needs help
The bed is an old thin spring mattress with very little padding
Rooms are hot but you can open the windows and they do provide a fan but I wouldn’t stay on a hot weekend

We stayed 2 nights. The room was ok but pillows were very hard. Bathroom was basic annd in need of ann upgrade: old fashioned taps, no shaving mirror and poor lighting. Bath/shower with curtain. Staff were very nice and helpful.

The ladies at the front desk were always so kind and helpful to me. Also had great breakfast options. Would definitely stay here again.

Was tired inside rooms. But okay. Staff were excellent. Convenience was perfect. Easy to get around city

The pictures they show on their website/hotels.com are far from how the room actually was. The first room they put us in was in a horrible condition, it looked like it haven’t been upgraded at all since the 80s, was dirty and smelled bad. Complained and got a new rom, still nothing like the pictures. The bed was super uncomfortable and hard (no mattress topper). No air ventilation in the room.
One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Cannot believe this is a 4 star hotel.

Sharon was great. I was able to check out at 12 no hassles and also there was no additional charge for food room service which is rare these days. Well done guys. I will be back

Nice central location. Always staff on hand to help

Hotel is in a very convenient location but our room was like hell fire even with the fan on and it was from the fridge & tower rail, which you can't switch off. It would be unbearable in a heat wave but other than that everything else was fine.

Great location. Excellent staff. Clean.

The staff we so friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The location is ideal close to buses, trains, shopping and points of interest. I liked having the terrace below. The food was great in the hotel restaurant.

Gorgeous, historic building. Wonderful and helpful staff. Place definitely has charm. Very happy with my stay here

The property is in a prime position for both the shops and His Majesty's Theatre. The room was lovely, big and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Good location if you want to walk to restaurants and pubs.

This was likely a lovely hotel 75 years ago. The staff are pleasant, but cannot do much about the conditions. (Some of the carpets were thread bare and we had mold on our windows.) I would not recommend this property unless there is nothing else within 25 miles of Aberdeen.

Good quick check in, room was nice.
Only thing that spoiled it a little was when a lady came in for breakfast 5 minutes late to be told breakfast is over. Most items were still out on display. Poor from the waitress.

Terrible service, they were overbooked and had 'found me another room at a nearby hotel'. I noted they emailed me 5 times before my arrival to see if I wanted to order extras etc but no warning they were kicking me out to another much cheaper hotel. No apology.

Breakfast was lovely. Would have liked decaffeinated teabags at breakfast and in rooms. Would have been nice to have option to have biscuits in room or option to buy chocolate etc. Still thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

Very tired room with uncomfortable bed but the staff were helpful and changed the room for the second night.
Location was great.
2.5
Our room was spotless and cozy warm on a colder day.
The lift was appreciated.
Parking at the back was very convenient.
Location was close to the shops and places to eat.
Hotel had an excellent restaurant with an extensive menu.
Check-in with Sharon was very friendly and smooth. She was good people skills and made us very welcome.
We would be happy to stay there again.
