Great experience at this property. When this hotel says they are pet friendly they are very pet friendly my pet had just an awesome experience at this location the staff welcomed him made him feel like he was part of our family and that was so important to us.

Counter was welcoming and good but rest of employees average. Morning lady’s doing coffee rude and with a big face never wanted to help. They were with the phone. Looks like the phone was fist than the guest.

It was nice. Clean. Walls were thin. But overall good stay. The bar looked great but I didn’t visit

The hotel was in prime location, loved my car being parked across the street so I could access when needed. The huge negative was the offensive smell of floral scent whether spray or plug-ins….it was overwhelming and so strong you could smell on the sidewalk outside the hotel. For someone with allergies and sensitivity to smells it made the stay very unpleasant.

The hotel was in a very convenient location which was great. The front staff were hit or miss with friendliness. It was nice having a place to park our car. However, our room was never cleaned. We stayed for three days and never placed the do not disturb sign and no cleaning… for the price I would expect at least that. The bathroom is tight and minimal counter space for getting ready and lighting is not optimal in the room. Our refrigerator did not work and was locked and there is no coffee or anything of that nature in the room. Overall a good place but felt it was overpriced for what you received.

We only stayed one night, but it was great. Location is close to the Riverwalk & Bourbon Street. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. We loved the vintage style of the rooms.

The Hotel is great The parking is a scam ask when checking in, the parking lot across from the hotel is a nightmare

The location was very good. The room was large and the bed was very good. I missed a coffee maker, and the breakfast staff was not very friendly.

Rooms were uncomfortable. Floors were slick and treacherous. Not enough services for the price. No bell hop. no valet. Staff were incredibly friendly and professional.

Great hotel with a good restaurant. Spot is close to everything like casino, restaurant, french quarter, bar, shopping, etc

The hotel smells “old” like the name. We kept sneezing and get allergies during our stay. Will not repeat.

The rooms weren’t ready until after 5p which caused us several delays in our evening and the hotel did nothing to compensate for this.
The lines for front desk and service were insanely long and they didn’t have the staff to accommodate the guests.

Very nice, clean room. Loves that it had a fan in the room. Staff was friendly. The hotel bar has an amazing espresso martini! Would definitely stay again. Good location!

Beautiful! Great location, cool vibe, comfortable beds! Located very close to the casino and a short walk to the French Quarter and Superdome.

Our room was not available when we arrived one hour after check in. The people working the front desk were pretty short and not very friendly. Our options were to wait for our room or take the room that was available. We chose the latter. The room was a first floor interior room, it was very humid in the room, one of the bedside tables was missing and you could see where it was ripped off of the wall. The towel hanger on the bathroom door was missing as well. It feels like the rooms are not being kept up with and the customer service has gone downhill.

The overall hotel needs lots of updating. We were in room 384. And on Friday night there is a club/lounge in the alleyway outside of the room window and it played loud music to 3 AM. Did not sleep at all that night. The carpet outside in the hall needs to be vacuumed. It was dirty. Overall the hotel was not very clean and needed to be dusted and wiped down quite a bit. And when we first got to the room, the pillow did not have pillowcases. The plus side of the hotel were the updated bathrooms and the staff were very friendly.

It was a very good aesthetic. Felt like staying at an art museum.

We only stayed to enjoy somewhere nice to sleep on our road trip so I can only speak for the two separate nights we stayed there. The hotel itself is amazing! I love the art, the atmosphere/vibe, and even the smell. The restaurant attached to it is absolutely delicious and the bartenders are truly talented. However, on our first night we didn't know better and stayed on the second floor. We noticed the wooden creaky floors when we walked in our room but we didn't realize that we would hear creaky floors above our room all night! Unfortunately we didn't sleep very well and had an 8 hour drive to do the next day.
On our way back from our trip we requested to stay on the 4th floor and slept wonderfully! However our only complaints on the second night was the TV mount was crooked. But since we only watched something until we got sleepy it was no big deal for us.
Overall it was a fantastic experience for our first time staying in a hotel in New Orleans. Even with the lack of sleep, the amazing service and the environment made it worth it in the end.

Hotel is centrally located in the downtown area with a lot of great food & drink around, including Canal Street and streetcars/transportation/parking lots. Great location for parade routes - we were in town for the Halloween parade and stood basically out front. We enjoyed using the fitness area, lobby coffee shop, and comfortable lobby for quick breaks.
When we interacted with staff, they were very nice, but upon arriving (around 2:30am one night) and upon leaving (4:30am another day) we could not locate front desk staff which was very disappointing. They were also out of keys for the minibars in the room so we could not access that or use the fridge. We didn't have housekeeping come during our stay but did ask the front desk to send them - they didn't arrive. None of these things were dealbreakers but worth noting.
Comfort in this hotel was low, which is the dealbreaker for future trips. The walls are very thin and floors are very loud, so we were awoken all night by loud noises all around us including heavy walking above. Mattresses are not bad but bedding is limited and more/thicker blankets are needed, as are additional bath towels.

Was not happy that my window view was a dark brick wall. Otherwise, decent stay.

Here’s a review based on your experience:
Disappointed with This Stay Despite Great Service
I’ve always loved this hotel and have had wonderful experiences here before, but this particular stay was disappointing. We booked and paid for a premium room but were called before check-in and told we’d be placed in a corner first-floor room with lots of windows for the same price. Unfortunately, this room came with significant issues.
The street noise was unavoidable, but worse than that, the designated smoking benches were right outside our windows. All night, party-goers and even some homeless people sat outside, talking, yelling, laughing, and cursing. It sounded like they were in the room with us. On top of that, music from nearby buildings continued until 4 AM, making it impossible to get any rest.
While I truly love this hotel and the staff provided their usual excellent service, this particular room made the stay miserable. I highly recommend avoiding first-floor rooms, especially near the smoking area.

Great place. Excellent restaurant and bar. Hotel room walls were a little thin though.

Place was a bit dated, but was part of its charm.
The room was a bit small but perfectly comfortable and clean. The one thing I did not like is the room was in the middle of the building and had no windows. It was like staying in a cave. Might be a good selling point for reviving from a hard night in the town.was conceived t walk to many restaurants and convention center. I would stay here again.

Great property, great location, great staff. Just be prepared to shell out some cash for parking.
