Rooms and facilities are dirty and out dated. There was a smell that was so bad that I had to spray the room.

The place was nice for being cheap. They are doing some renovations it seems. The carpet needs cleaned really bad. I walked barefoot and my feet were black. The room smelled really musty. Other than those two things, the service was great, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were really friendly.

The room had cigarette burns in the blankets. Walls were dirty. Had to burned up outlet was black on the outlet chair was broke. Door wouldn't lock. Environment was pretty dirty. I think it's I'm very unclean outside. Very dirty people fighting all night. Keeping you up. The guy gave us a Wi-Fi code and it was wrong. There was mildew and the restroom and in the room itself and no coffee pot. Nothing was one of his described online including the king size bed. What wasn't even a queen? It was a double. It was supposed to be a king. No working ice machines. The place was just a real disgrace. I think it should be shut down

The check in process was easy. The room was clean. We will stay here again.

Old fashioned motel with simple amenities, reasonable price compared to chain hotels in the area. Room is clean & neat. Good fridge in room.

great price for a nice room. Would stay there again

This place had a train track behind the building but was for the most part very quiet and peaceful.

Thja has got to be the WORST place I've ever stayed in allthe yeara Ive been coming to Williamsburg. This must be a LIVE IN MOTEL because people were sitting outside in chairs. There was a MAN dressed as a woman prostituting outside. The room smelled HORRIBLE and the decore was old!! DO. NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Room was not so good. Most occupants are probably permanent rentals. Walls paper thin and it was noisy. Went to bed and a big roach ran across the wall. Hard to sleep after that.

great location near restaurants. Inn is only 2 miles from colonial williamsburg. there is no free breakfast but there is a pancake house next door.

This hotel is filthy. The carpet is from 1900. The bathroom water doesn't do through. We have to wait some minutes to get a shower. I'm not going back for sure.

It was inexpensive, it is convenient to the highway, food, heck its next do to a pancake house! Enough said!

I needed to stay a night… I did. I needed a hot shower. Water was hot. I wanted good food choices, they were in the middle of it, from breakfast to dinner. I was happy.

Manager very nice, switched us to downstairs room so I didn't have to climb stairs. internet connection was no good.

My bed had coins and a lighter in it. They do not change the sheets between guests at this property.

Room was fairly clean. Staff removed used towels and did not replace. We had to go to office for clean towels. Air conditioner was very inadequate. We cleaned air filters for 2nd night. Then cooling was almost adequate. Bed seemed to be smaller than queen size.

Dirty, smelled of smoke, stains in sheets, food particles left on bed… if I could give a zero, I would

This hotel was almost a last resort due to our late arrival for a few days in Colonial Williamsburg. I saw some poor reviews and sadly they were true. The room was basic motel accommodations, the security latch was broken, something red was spilled into the nightstand drawer and the furnishings are dated. The worst part was the hardest bed mattress I have ever experienced! Not much sleep that night!

Pleasant staff,,,,convenient to shopping

Didn’t like close to rail road, rooms smelled, we had to buy freshener, didn’t empty trash, didn’t bring clean towels in, didn’t clean the pool. Toilet was wobbly. Room had a couch that was very uncomfortable.
It was close to a lot of restaurants. Staff was friendly.

Really rundown and outdated i felt that i was back in 1965 because thats the last time anything was done to this place horrible air conditioning and ive seen hospital beds that were more comfortable

It was dirty. Was suppose to be smoke free but smelled of cigarettes. It was so NOT worth the money I paid for it.

The price is very affordable for the location, and it was close to nearby area attractions and even to local dining and shopping options. staff was friendly.

I don’t like to give bad reviews but this one is necessary - room was infested with Bed bugs - infested - crawled into purse -and pool was closed and nasty -, black crud in sink -had to scrub to use …
(Despite add showing beautiful pool stating would be open March thru June.)
We Requested late departure and stated we would be willing to pay for it (per ad)-forget it… staff threatened would bill extra night if 31 minutes over , and had staff post watch on our room yelling to each other when we walked out door .. would not recommend
When called about bugs Staff was very nasty on phone - and offered no apologies - stay elsewhere if you want a good vacation.

I was really sick traveling and staying at this pit made it worse. Dead bedbugs in the freaking picture frames and no cleaning service until the day before I left on a five day booking. Had to buy my own extra toilet paper.

There are train tracks directly behind hotel. The train came through 4-5 times that night. Very loud!

It was nice for the price and the staff was great!

We had a nice stay in Williamsburg at the Captain John Smith Inn. I was traveling with my service dog and they were welcoming to him as well. I would stay there again.

Booked this hotel because we needed a place to sleep after a long day at Colonial Williamsburg. It was fairly close. The hotel was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Read all the other bad reviews. There was nothing good about this hotel. It stunk. It was filthy. The pool was green and obviously had not been used in a vary long time. Roof was falling apart. Bugs in the room. Nothing had been cleaned . No TP in room. ALL furniture was worn (even the chairs in the lobby) had stains and was at least 25 years old. There also appeared to be people living in rooms on the one side of the hotel. Walls crudely patched ... I could go on and on but DO NOT STAY HERE!

the Manager was very nice and helpful. the price was the price. every thing was right there. Did not have to drive long, That was nice. The staff was like old frends.

The hotel's better days are definitely behind her, the typical hotel furniture and carpet is mildewed and stained. We wore our flops to be safe, coffee maker didn't work, probably why they didn't leave coffee, took forever to get hot water, complimentary breakfast consisted of old corn flakes, but no milk. The pool was dirty. I don't recommend this hotel to my enemies.

Dirty inside and out. Lousy "breakfast offering". We stayed 2 nights, no clean towels or bed made for 2nd night
