Lovely amenities and kind staff. A very pleasant stay.

Great hotel. Lovely modern well decorated room. Central location for exploring Exeter on foot. Nice pool and garden and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend

Unfortunately the state of the shower was off putting as it needed a good grout cleaning

We have stayed at Du Vin Exeter on several occasions over the last few years and always found the staff to be really friendly and helpful. Its a great location and with the sun shining it is lovely to sit in the rear garden and enjoy the tranquillity. Definitely one of the better hotels in the city centre

Great spot.

Nice hotel and excellent value for the single Sunday night we stayed. Outdoor pool is nice, but could do with being an extra degree or two warmer! Parking has to be reversed in advance but worth the certainty of having a convenient space right out front.

Our second time at this hotel. A wonderful find!

Our room was very comfortable and had a mix of modern and traditional decor. But the toilet and shower were extremely small and when the toilet light was switched on lots of lights around the mirror in the room came on, disturbing the other guest when the toilet when was used during the night. Also, despite the number of lights around and behind the mirror, they did not give enough light on the face when applying make-up. The only other problem we had was in the Bistro. We ordered the house wine with our meal and was offered a taste of two different wines under the impression that they were both house wines. When we received the bill we discovered that the wine we chose out of the two was one of the most expensive on the menu. We felt we should have been made aware of this as it was almost double the cost of the house wine. Other than that the meal was very nice.

Very unfortunate that we stayed at the hotel the day of a wedding, we waited almost 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive with our dinner in the restaurant and service in general that evening was extremely slow, the drinks were removed from the tab however which was obviously an attempt to compensate us (which was greatly appreciated) many customers in the restaurant that evening were unpleased at the wait times, and the restaurant team were visible stressed and it was almost unsettling to watch, it is not good business to let service slump due to a wedding being held, as a hotel you should be aware that you are facilitating normal guests and a restaurant and a wedding, perhaps more staff to ease the load and make sure things are still served in a timely manner or close the restaurant when weddings are held so you can actually cope with the work load, aside from this the stay was very nice and the staff as a whole were very attentive and polite, the reception team were fantastic apart from one blonde female (of which there are 2 but I refer to the slightly older one) who come across extremely short when booking us into our suite for the night, 0 eye contact when talking to me, perhaps I only noticed it so much because it was night/day compared to the customer service given by all the other members of staff we interacted with, our suite was very nice however and as a whole I would recommended the hotel as I can tell ordinarily it wouldn’t fall short of expectations

Excellent staff service - all very friendly and helpful. Fabulous hotel.

Great stay. The staff are very welcoming and helpful.

The hotel and room was beautiful, the breakfast was amazing.
We were let down by our experience when we arrived and when we left. I had messaged through to reserve a car parking space, on arrival the car park was mostly full but the empty bays were not reserved in our name. I assumed due to not getting a reply to my request before arrival we hadn’t had a space reserved. We parked in the public car park just along from the hotel. We carried our bags back and checked in. On check out we were asked to pay for the reserved space, I explained there wasn’t one, the man said there should have been but nevermind don’t worry then. We left through the car park and I checked we hadn’t missed the reserved sign when we had arrived. Our reserved sign was turned to face the wall by whomever had decided they deserved the space more than we did.i went back in to mention it to the reception staff, I was met with a grunt, they clearly couldn’t have cared less. This marred the experience for me as I purposely chose a hotel that had parking so we wouldn’t have to carry our bags from a public car park.

Very enjoyable stay. Staff friendly and professional. The rooms were comfortable and had all amenities we needed. Breakfast area was lovely and food delicious. Lovely outside areas to enjoy in the sunshine. Location was great, easy walk to city centre and Quay. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Exeter.

Lovely friendly hotel very clise to tge shops and restaurants

I always love staying in Hotel du Vin hotels, everything is luxury including the pillows and duvet
4.2
The restaurant and garden / pool area are lovely and I would go back to the hotel for lunch or dinner . However , the rooms are very small and compact - despite being upgraded we still struggled to work around this room as bathroom very tight and the window sill was used to house the shaving mirror.
4.2
Great breakfast. Great staff.
4.2
Our room was clean and very comfortable. The soaking tub melted away any stress left from traveling. Loved the expresso machine too.
4.2
Friendly team all throughout the hotel. Bedroom was quirky and very clean and tidy, nice quiet night. Prebooked parking was very convenient. Recommend!!
4.2
Booked a weekend in the cosy room for my husband's birthday. The room was lovely and surprisingly spacious.
The hotel is a stones throw from Magdalen Road, City Centre and the Quay which was perfect!
Staff were also really friendly and helpful!
4.2
Dinner service in a private room was patchy and food was not good for the price.
4.2
We enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless. Thank you.
4.2
Clean, well appointed, sumptuous. Warm outdoor pool with jacuzzi
4.2
Lovely hotel, immaculately presented. Reception staff were very friendly and gave advice on local restaurants etc.
Room was spacious (deluxe) with ample tea and coffee supplied, shower was great.
We didn’t get to use the pool due to lack of time, but did a quick walk around the hotel and had a peak at the pool which looked fine.
Parking is limited at the hotel and has to be pre booked at £20 a night but we parked at a public car park right next door which was almost the same price.
4.2
We had a lovely overnight stay visiting friends. The hotel is lovely and quirky and I would have rated 5 stars if the sunk in the bathroom hadn’t been leaking on the floor.
Room was beautifully decorated with some nice touches.
Reception staff were lovely very welcoming and to arrive with an open log fire on a cold day was idealic
4.2
Always very good. Not faults at all, staff are fantastic as is the breakfast and everything else really 10/10

Excellent stay all round

Great use of a historic building. Extremely well repurposed. Staff were very welcoming and helpful.
4.2
Had coats stolen from car in the car park even though paid for 3 days parking on site.
Staff excellent, friendly and attentive at all times.
4.2
Decent hotel.
Spa treatments and staff were great.
Pool is good.
Bar a bit haphazard.
4.2
This hotel lets the HOtel Du Vin chain down. It does not have the usual atmosphere as others and the bar ius ridiculous! The barman seemed too busy and at the dinner table he spilt our wine, pouring it as he also had a tray for others. The food was ok, and the bed was far too soft, along with the pillows, which meant for a bad nights sleep. I will stay in a Premiere Inn next time!
4.2
Great hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast.
4.2
The heating in my room (108) didn't work (or I couldn't work out how to use it), but the bar lounge was really nice, and we were served particularly well by the breakfast bar lady and the barmen.
4.2
Comfortable

Ideal location
