Clean and efficient.
Friendly front of house.
Ok breakfast. Fresh.
It's a La Quinta, DT Chicago, and for the price. Definitely the best.
4.2
Front desk workers were very accommodating. Clean rooms and very quiet. Breakfast was very good with lots of options. Would say here again.

Amazing stay PERIOD !
4.2
Every thing so good except a little issue. Location is amazing. Whether was cold. The hotel included breakfast and it was good
4.2
Excellent location. We can’t complain of the value. There were some minor issues that were resolved promptly.

Great place to stay. Very kind host~!!

Suite room with sleeper sofa which worked well for our family of 3 adults. Room was clean and spacious. We could hear a sound periodically (room was next to the elevators) but it didn't affect our sleep.
They do not have a daily room cleaning, every 3rd day. Perhaps this is the new norm, but I prefer to have the towels replaced every couple of days.
4.2
Everything good except the breakfast. Few choices. Crowded and noisy the days we were there.
Love the location, the room and the friendly staff.
4.2
The room was spacious and well kept. The front desk staff were responsive and helpful. The daily breakfast was great. The hotel is in a good location within easy walking distance to many restaurants and tourist areas.
4.2
It is what you would expect for a LaQuinta.

This was one of the most unpleasant stays at a hotel I have ever had. Upon arrival we were given room #430, and upon entering at room we walked in on a fully occupied room with a family inside. I apologized with embarrassment. Had to go back to the check in desk and ask for a non occupied room. Once settled in our new room we contracted the front desk asking for extra pillows. The front desk attendant told me, “don’t you know we are sold out”! RUDE and unnecessary I told him.
The next morningwe were woken by someone entering our room at 6AM. My husband yelled and the person walked off. I called
The front desk twice and nobody would answer. I think got my cell phone and had to call the main line at the lobby or somebody answered immediately and I asked them why somebody had entered our room. The front desk attendant told us that it was one of the employees that they had failed to show that we had checked in and they thought the room was not occupied.
This hotel was unprofessional and not well run. I would not recommend staying at this downtown Chicago location.

Great location for access to Amtrak and Metra. Lovely large rooms with large comfortable beds. Bathrooms a little dated but functional. Breakfast included in room price but whilst selection was wide, quality of food was poor.
4.2
Asked for hangers…never came. Clean room and linens after 4 days….unacceptable! Breakfast room tables not cleaned after people got up.
4.2
Location and access to parking facilities were great. There was mold in the shower. The room overlooked the interior courtyard where people smoke so the smoke came up through the exterior vents. There was a lot of noise that we thought was coming from the hallway but it was from the interior vent which apparently connected to a break room or something.
4.2
The front desk staff was friendly and fast check in. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was basic but clean and tidy. The breakfast lady was the highlight for me. She was bubbly, warm and friendly. She takes pride in her job. La Quinta is lucky to have her.
4.2
The front desk staff was amazing and recommended a parking app (spot hero) rather than paying the hotel price for parking and it saved me like $30! The rooms were nice and well kept as well but the parking instructions were the highlight of the stay.
4.2
The stay was great, small issue when my door lock was broken but staff was amazing and helped the situation promptly and made sure the rest of the stay was trouble free. The staff as a whole was very friendly and nice the entirety of the trip
4.2
Room and front desk associates were fine. No signs or notice on website that they had a restaurant or bar. We ended up ordering for delivery since we didn’t know restaurant was on 2nd floor. Even when asked front desk where we could eat no one said they had a restaurant at the hotel.
4.2
This was a great location. Clean for the most part. The pot smell was a little overwhelming. Breakfast was all cold, so we did not go for the 2nd and 3rd dy.

This was my first and last stay at this chain. Upon arrival my check-in was just that. No information provided about when and where to get free breakfast, staff was friendly, not engaging. Room was cleaned. It wasn’t until I went to bed I noticed no privacy sign for door. When I inquired was told it’s in your room. I explained there was nothing in my room he said I will have to find one. Never heard about it again for the rest of stay. As I was getting ready for bed the toilet started running to the point I thought there was a flood. Funny thing is I never used the toilet it just came on out of nowhere. I called front desk they said they would send maintenance. 2 hours later no maintenance and toilet stopped. The fan in the room was so loud I had to shut off AC and heat just so I could sleep. You could hear the noise on the street at if I had a window open, which wasn’t the case. The bed was absolutely the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. I usually get my best sleep in hotels. In the two night I stayed I maybe got four hours of sleep. When I checked out I was not asked how my staff was. I have never experienced this lack of customer service in all my stays. Highly disappointing.

Corporate type area. Not a lot of restaurants / bars close by. Easy walking about from here tho. Clean and safe vibe. Excellent breakfast and awesome friendly helpful staff here.
4.2
Good: location and friendly staff
Bad: breakfast service with controlled portions of food. Wifi did not work for 2 days. No room cleaning.

We stayed for 4 nights whilst visiting Chicago. Our room was spacious and generally comfortable. The room wasn't particularly sound proof, but once asleep it didn't worry us. The breakfast offered is basic, but my husband has a dietary requirement and there was nothing for him to eat apart from yoghurt, and the staff really had no idea when asked for options. Overall still a nice place to stay.
4.2
Breakfast needs to have more protein choices.
4.2
Simone checked us in and she was so wonderful, she took care of everything for us. The staff was very sweet and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable but I was disappointed in the free breakfast, not alot of selections, we went elsewhere for breakfast.
4.2
Loved the room, very clean, quiet. The only thing is the parking but totally understand!
4.2
Great service. Friendly staff. Convenient to everything.
4.2
Room was nice, quite clean. Food was terrible. Hot food was very cold and sub par.
4.2
Some of the employees was rude and they didn’t tell us about a deposit fee took more money
4.2
This an excellent downtown hotel in Chicago especially for the price paid.
The breakfast, which was included, gets a bit chaotic and is busy at all times. The lady who runs the hot food counter is great and greets everyone with a good morning and how is your stay going.
Had trouble with room door lock, but this was resolved quickly and efficiently by the hotel engineer.
4.2
The water in the bathroom was not working properly.
4.2
Generally fine, however my room overlooked a noisy alleyway where they were doing waste pickup in the middle of the night. Also, the halls have the ugliest carpeting I've ever seen.
4.2
Good location of hotel
Uncomfortable mattress. Noisy bathroom doors and locks.
Immediate replacement is recommended
4.2
Good service, Crystal was excellent and helpful.
4.2
I had a great room - a large corner that came with lots of light. And the desk was so long - never seen anything like that at other hotels. Overall, I was impressed with this La Quinta.
4.2
Staff upgraded us to better room after we requested relocation away from the elevators. We appreciated that!!!
4.2
We showed up late at night and they still kept our reservation. Everything went well as expected. The morning breakfast was very good
4.2
Convenient. Short walk to Oglvie
4.2
Clean and safe hotel in downtown Chicago. Our family has a great stay here. Only recommendation for the hotel website is to add information about which parking garage to use for those with a car since the hotel does not have parking. And, include information on how one can pay for parking though the hotel at the Poetry Garage which allows one to come and go as often as they like without having to purchase a new space every time one leaves. There is no information on parking at all on the website.

Everyone was nice and very helpful. Breakfast could have been better
