Booked a twin room. Was tiny. Beds weren’t even full single beds. Bathroom tiny. Served a purpose for one night but for ~£180 was very disappointing.

4th time staying at this hotel. Perfect for a short stay. Walking distant into Cambridge. Lovely comfortable hotel and good nights sleep.

We used park and ride but didn’t realise how far out of town you were so it was a bit expensive for taxis to places.
However we loved the hotel and welcoming vibe. Also good value for money.

The room was spacious and comfortable and had all the basic needs for a short stay. Very good location for where we were going. No complaints.

Stayed here on business. Bathrooms seem to have been designed by monkeys.
The bathrooms are some sort of prebuilt pod in the corner of the room. If I'm not going to get a bath, a decent shower is a must, especally when you are paying £160!!!
They are poor for many reasons:
- Step up into bathroom, really not great in the dark, especially for older people. Seems very stupid.
- Shower is just a hand held head, no rain option. It's like being dribbled on from a height, poor pressure and you have to constantly move around to stay wet.
- Temp is luke warm at best.
- Controls on the shower are unmarked, so first time you use, you aren't sure which is on and which is temp, or which way to turn. When you have to lean under the water, that's annoying.
- door to the bathroom has no turning handle, just a pull, so you have pull it open and then push it shut and you can't do that quietly. Would be really annoying if you were sharing the room, or must be able to be heard by other rooms.
- no lock on the door. Fine when you're alone, but when sharing, people want a lock. Pretty basic.
TV is pretty small and pillows were poor quality and lumpy.
Hotel is pretty souless too, with very little staff interaction or service offered. No one greets you for breakfast, and breakfast choice is average (no fresh fruit, yoghurt).
Seems that hotels have to do very little these days to feel justified to charge what they do in an expensive location like Cambridge.

Friendly staff greeted us on our arrival, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean, basically furnished, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Food in the restaurant was reasonably priced and very tasty. The live music on Friday night was very good and not too loud. I would highly recommend the Cambridge Ibis hotel for a weekend break.

Easy to check in, a delicious breakfast and an overall comfortable stay.

Generally very good, but firstly the reception area was too small - even to show the map and secondly there was far too little hooks and shelves in the room to place your belongings. Especially in the bathroom no place for make-up bags etc, need a shelf under the sink.

Have stayed multiple times and it never disappoints. Well located, great staff, clean and the breakfast is superb

Really handy for the station with live train departures available on a screen in the lounge. Comfortable accommodation. The room was clean and quiet and the breakfast catered for every requirement.
Would recommend.

The bathroom door creaked loudly for every movement both opening and closing. There is only one waste basket in the bathroom.

We stayed for a family trip to the races. Check in was simple and quick. Our room was simple but cosy. Loved the train inspired bathroom. Shower was a little weak but room was lovely and clean. 24/7 bar in the hotel was great!

Checked us into a room that there was a couple asleep in, no bedside table and sink was blocked

No tea bags, tv only had a few channels

All was splendid. We even got to check in a bit earlier than we thought. The room was good and clean. Fastest check out I have experienced

The facilities are good. Clean, comfortable, and very convenient. The 12 pound breakfast was so so. We only stayed for 2 nights. Not much to say.

Water pressure and water heat is atrocious. They use being right by the train station to jack up prices for mediocre rooms. 5/10 basic

While the property is nice and new the subsidised car park is not close and the real shock for us was no fridge in the room so we had food with us that we had to throw out. This is the first hotel where this has happened to us so please be upfront about this in your sales information. Medication that needs to be refrigerated would cause a massive problem

I didn’t like that there aren’t any refrigerators in the rooms. Very annoying.

Booked for a place to stay before and after attending a wedding. Hotel was in a great location for the station and for cafés and a Sainsbury's, allowing you to get a few essentials. Hotel was clean, modern and brilliantly designed to allow maximum space in a simple and elegant way. Especially impressed with the bathroom as so often they can be cramped and flood easily but this was great. Staff were friendly and helpful and I know the late opening of the bar kitchen was really helpful for my friends who arrived late after terrible train delays. Great hotel for a place to stay and explore the city
