Great stay. Would love to stay longer. Couldn't fault it

The room was beautifully presented and was in the perfect location for exploring Tavistock. A wonderful stay.

The B&B is in the centre of Tavistock which is excellent for those who intend on exploring the town during the day, the rooms are stylish and tasteful as well as the general decoration and atmosphere of the place which makes the stay feel extra special and more high-end in comparison to other B&B experiences.

Ian the owner was very welcoming and answered any questions I had, nice welcoming rooms, clean, highly recommended

Would highly recommend this place. Check in was easy and a very warm and friendly welcoming and stay. We will be returning.

Second time we have stayed and wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Tavistock now. Such a lovely boutique place and superb welcome and service if you need it. Beautiful rooms and my wife especially loved the toiletries.
4.8
I had high expectations, based on the web site description. The actual experience was far better than expected. Great host, great quality furniture in the room, and lovely and clean and warm.

We only had one night here and it was wonderful, couldnt fault it atall. Central to everything you need on the town. The apartment was spotlessly clean, comfy bed and the set up was great.

This stay was sensational. It was styled to perfection and made me feel like I was staying in absolute luxury. The gorgeous little touches of the local products and produce within the apartment were amazing. I quickly headed into town to stock up on some of the most amazing local things. It is environmentally friendly, with plastic free milk. The boys were so kind, friendly and were always available for a cup of tea in possibly the best drawing room in England. Do not miss this stay. What a hidden gem and little beauty. So much love in the apartment. It was easily accessible and safe too. Thanks again. I will be back.

Fantastic apartment in the centre of Tavistock. Very high quality furniture and bedding, beds super comfy along with the sofas in the front room. Down sides - not very mobility restricted friendly, access is via 13 step metal fire escape staircase to get to the apartment. Once inside no hand rail on a small set of stairs to get to the first bedroom and stairs to the 2nd floor, No ceiling lights in the hallway or 2nd floor bedrooms. No lock on the bathroom door, and only 1/2 roll of toilet paper, No toaster (but there is a great little café just outside the entrance door). No TV or WIFI. Someone obviously loves this apartment, and has spent a lot of money on a refurbishment, but has never stayed in it. Parking outside is restricted. Can park from 6pm to 9am for free. Nearest pay and display is about a 10 minute walk away.

Exceeded expectations in every way.

Great location and a beautiful property. Briefly caught up with staff in the halls and immediately gave us recommendations on very good walks and sightseeing we would have missed otherwise. Highly recommended!

Comfort, quirkiness, character, generous selection of Neal's Yard toiletries to use while there, central location. Self entry with key pad practical if a little soulless (I missed the usual welcome on arrival at a b&b). Staff very friendly and helpful at breakfast, however, and my continental breakfast was delicious. Parking is an issue.

Very friendly welcome. Comfortable and spacious room with everything you need and lovely selection of toiletries in the bathroom.

One Drake Road is an excellent option if you’re in Tavistock. Ian and Jack have created a beautiful and very comfortable environment. The location is excellent as it’s just a few steps away from the Tavistock Pannier Market and many restaurants. I will definitely stay there again on my return to the area.

Thank you to Jack and Iain - our stay was all too brief! What a delightful place One Drake Road is. So beautifully presented and with such attention to detail anticipating our every need. We loved the sitting room as well as our really comfortable bedroom and the lovely garden. So great to be in such exceptionally lovely surroundings with such great hosts.

Brilliant stay, the private basement apartment was really nicely converted and decorated. Very spacious and both beds had electric blankets so was nice and warm overnight. Host Iain was really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Great little B&B, a stylish home from home, shame that covid precludes a proper full english round the table. Very central location perfect for a weekend away.

Pleasant B&B situated in the centre of Tavistock. Owners Iain and Jack extremely helpful and although the room didn’t have it’s own bathroom this really wasn’t an issue. Room comfortable with nice touches, DAB radio being one and the bathroom was immaculate. Parking available onsite, but not an issue to leave my car in the council Bedford car park, 5 minute walk and you can pay by cash or using the RingGo app.

Amazingly quirky and gorgeously decorated B&B. Keyless entry meant everything was very covid safe, and the room and hallways were immaculately clean. The little touches from Iain and Jack were brilliant, from the décor and books, local toiletries and list of nearby eats, visits and drives, which gave us lots to do in the area. The house blend of French press coffee was greatly appreciated in the morning too. We met the lovely Jack the next morning, and his recommendations to the Pannier market for our picnic lunch were invaluable.

Great bed and breakfast, very smart and homely, owners are very helpful, one of the best I’ve stayed in, I will be using this accommodation in the future.

Would recommend this hotel, the rooms are all decorated and furnished to a high standard, inside a lovely Georgian Townhouse. A hidden jewel and will be recommended this hotel to my colleagues and friends.

Stunningly beautiful property, smells and sounds great. But bear in mind it’s an old house.. so lots of creeky floor boards, walls as you’d expect so you can here people moving around. Ear plugs recommended for a sound sleep. And with no breakfast due to COVID was there a discount ? Not sure. If you like to feel like you’re in someone’s home, with lots of beautiful Nicnaks, magazines and lovely neils yard toiletries , it’s perfect.!

Spotlessly clean, decadent decor and nice ambience.

Brilliant house and owners. Will be staying again.

Wonderful stay. Beautifully decorated and lovely little touches that make it a 5 star stay. We would never stay anywhere else . Perfect in every way 10 /10.

I stayed for one night on a cycle tour from John O’Groats to Land’s End and it was a real highlight of my entire trip. Iain gave the warmest welcome
and even offered to wash my cycling clothes (which I gladly accepted). The B&B is stunning and has so much personality, the bedroom was chic and comfortable, and breakfast was absolutely banging. It was so nice to chat to Iain who is the perfect host, with loads of great knowledge about Tavistock and the surrounding area (/pubs). Thanks so much Iain, I will definitely be back!

I have never been made to feel more at home than when greeted by Iain. I was traveling alone and without a car and Iain and Jack went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and included in their home. They went so far as to drive me to and from the stables they'd suggested for a glorious day of riding on the moor, and introduced me to wonderful restaurants I would have never found on my own.
Beside their great hospitality, I was so pleased to find the location so much closer to the town center than expected. A two minute walk and I was right at the crossroads.
I thought Tavistock would be a once in a lifetime visit, but it has definitely made it to my list of must-stop locations when visiting southern England.

Unique for this B&B is the hospitality of Iain and Jack. They make for you a delicious breakfast every morning and serve it in their kitchen. In the evening you can read a book in their superb living room. So many details in their house. A pleasure to see around. The bedroom and bathroom are very clean.
