The hotel was very nice and clean. I didn’t realize that it was in the middle of the hood, as we were walking to One Music Festival. Overall, great hotel for the value.

Great looking boutique hotel in a nice area with access to shopping and restaurants. Super friendly staff! Ended up here due to missed connection at ATL but would choose for a longer stay when in town next.

Place and room were nice. Second night of stay was loud in courtyard. Needed to call front desk a few times. Finally at 12 am they said they would shut down the party and or noise.

A wonderful find right off the highway with great messaging throughout

This is definitely the hotel we always stay at every time we're in Atlanta! Wonderful staff and service, clean and welcoming rooms, and the atmosphere is unlike hotel we've stayed at. Highly recommend!

Can’t put anything on room, first night menus was only dips for a Friday night loud music for a private event was going all night. Service was sloppy. Front desk was pretty good, but the bar was a mess, no order, missing potatoes, one night guest couldn’t get food because of a third party never couldn’t put food on room multiple families said same thing. Why take deposit if you can’t get things put on room.

We stayed here for a week while transitioning from LA to ATL. Everything about this hotel was amazing. The staff was incredibly helpful, food and drinks were great. Ambience was great. Everything was clean. Just be careful, parking is NOT free.

No hot water, they gave me a key to another room that had water for just a couple of minutes but had to finish shower in cold water.

I booked the Cozy Queen room on Expedia and did not realize how small it would be. It felt like I was in New York City. There really was not enough room for 2 people in the room to move around.

The appeal of this hotel was the courtyard. Unfortunately, they built booked an event there so it wasn’t accessible for the guests to use. The most annoying thing was that the people who were there for the event took all the parking spaces (which hotel guests have to pay $30 a day for). The hotel had us park at another lot next door with minimal lighting and a lady of the night doing her thing in the car next to us. The hotel walls were very thin and it just isn’t a place I’d stay again

GREAT stay here for a family wedding in the area. Friendly staff, great coffee in the morning, clean and nice sized rooms and bathroom. Highly recommend

The staff were friendly and helpful. I arrived late and they kindly accommodated my food order even though the kitchen was about to close. The rice bowl was delicious. The hotel is also in a good location.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location and offers good value for money. I returned to this hotel a week later to stay for a few more days when my trip was extended.

Loved the hotel - great location and staff. Only complaint was they said coffee service started at 6:00 a.m. and there was no one there - it was important because we had to leave at 6:15 to work the polls all day. No coffee makers in the room. Otherwise, awesome place and location.

Very mediocre property in a very odd and inconvenient location. Some great staff and some really bad as well.

We were greeted poorly. Bathroom smelled bad.

The Darwin hotel was an amazing experience. The workers are very friendly and help out with our confusion. However, my wife and I didn’t like the fact that we paid for parking for the hotel, but were force to park in overflow parking because all parking spots were taken by non hotel guess. The overflow was a bit sketchy, and we didn’t like that fact we couldn’t see our car. Other than that the stay was amazing and would recommend others to stay for a nice experience and good food. We also like how close it was to the downtown area. So mostly everything in range from each other.

Not so great. Paid $30 extra for parking I. Their parking lot that was also being used for “event” parking which meant not a lot of parking places. The hotel floors/hallways were super outdated and smelled like marijuana. The room was fine except that all the walls are super thin and we didn’t sleep with hearing the people above us walk around well into the middle of the night. Not sure if they had a party or what- but we didn’t sleep well for all of the noise. It was a rough night to say the least.

Very good service clean. Bar tender was wonderful.

Looked charming from the pics. You could tell it had been more like a motel in its past life. The designers did a good job making it look and feel more hip. This glow up worked and has made the perfect option for when you come to ATL for a show and don’t want to stay downtown. The staff were all so great. Their hospitality made the hotel feel even nicer than it looked. The food at the bar was limited but loved the vegan tacos and appreciated it being an option. Met some fun guests and hung out in the small but comfortable lobby. I will come back here each time I visit this part of Atlanta. The only negative was $30 for parking in a small lot that was unmonitored.

Stayed for 2 nights. First morning there was no hot water on the 3rd floor for which we notified management. They were aware of the problem. Next morning water was luke warm/borderline cold. Front desk person said, "there's construction in the neihhborhhod - maybe that's what is causing the problem." No! It's the hot water heater system! No acknowledgement, no offer to somehow make the stay better - just a shrug of the shoulders.
Also, music from the lobby can be heard on the third floor and was a nuisance at 6:30am and 11:30pm.

This was a great hotel if I was having a date night or date weekend trip with only my wife.
We happened to stop here as part of a rest stop while traveling with kids.
The moment you enter the hotel you are encountered with very loud club music, and the entrance/bar area smells like, well.. a bar.
The staff was accommodating and friendly, and keeping the car parked overnight in the parking lot did not feel unsafe. Although the immediate surrounding areas have an edgy city feel to them (I grew up in a city, so this is not foreign to me).
There's only one ice machine on the second floor. I was traveling with medicine which I needed to keep cool inside a cooler. So, holding the baby down to the second floor to pick up ice and then return to the room was difficult when preparing to leave and hit the road again.
The hotel, however, was very nicely decorated, it had a very welcoming center garden/balcony area. The food was good but slightly expensive (as expected). The rooms were generally clean. It's not very friendly for toddlers, though.
Again, if this were only my wife and myself, it would have been a 5/5, but if you are traveling with little ones, maybe a 3.8/5. I wouldn't say a three but not a 4.

We stayed at the Darwin for three nights when we came to Atlanta to visit family. From the moment we arrived, the staff was wonderful, the hotel was immaculately kept and our room was superb. We loved the design in the lobby and common areas and would definitely stay here again when we visit Atlanta.

Absolutely loved this property! Great location, clean, great staff. Highly recommend

There were only two things that I didn’t like. The first thing was, I could hear the person walking on the floor above me. The second thing, the shower and toilet were separate from the sink.

Beautiful property. We decided to stay here because the art and space looked modern and clean, and it was! We spent time in the lobby, in the courtyard and in the room of course: all were great! Easy access to lyfts

A gem, would stay here again without hesitation and have already recommended it to friends. Comfortable and spacious rooms and public spaces. A little hip, a little understated elegance, a lot of quirky charm in a convenient location.

From check in to check out, everything was lovely. Not one complaint at all!

Most comfortable bed of any hotel I've ever stayed in. Clean, great service.

Rooms are small
The hotel turns into a club
The bar is the first thing you see when you walk in.
Employees stand outside, around the door; maybe for safety issues being that the hotel is in a bad area.
The sink is in the bedroom
The hotel is very old, they decorated an extended stay and jacked the prices up

Rooms are small but efficient use of space, well appointed and clean. No food served in evening (as advertised) and staff was not well versed on area restaurants. Understaffed in the morning, gave up on trying to get a cup of coffee, would have purchased breakfast items also. Hotel is missing opportunity to wow, increase revenue stream, and encourage return business. It wasn’t a bad experience, it was just a non-experience. Could have been a Motel 8.

Staff was very nice!!!!

The hotel was amazing. Very clean, all of the staff were friendly and kind. It was upscale without making you feel like you didn't belong. They gave us a cute origami crane that we could exchange for a glass of champagne or coffee at the bar. We were only there for one night but will be sure to come back any time we find ourselves in the Atlanta area. 10/10

The hotel itself is very beautiful. The rooms are clean. The staff is very friendly. They have coffee every morning and the bar area. The only thing I don’t like about it that it was too loud in the patio. A lot of music going on after 9 PM. The parking was $30, but there’s outdoor parking in the street overall I will stay here again. Oh I forgot the rooms are a little bit smaller side.

Outstanding staff and customer service! Thanks to the maid for her extra care. Overnight security and parking for SUV is great. Only thing missing was a morning buffet. Otherwise, excellent hotel, relaxing stay!
