Definitivamente volveremos.

It’s a chill hostel. Nice outside to meet people. Big kitchen. The beds have curtains. It’s cleaned. The staff is amazing, particularly Pia and Luna (thanks to you both!).
I’ve got a really bad mattress at the beginning but I changed of bed the 3rd night. The staff and the owner even offer me another room. They want us confortable. They’re really helpful.
The room at the ground floor it’s really loud, you can hear everything.
I missed the cat they didn’t keep.

Comfy beds, lockers, air-con, pool, nice area to hang out, central location
Towels are worn out and also don’t smell nice
Sometimes it was a bit dirty but the staff tried to keep up with cleaning :)

The location is great. Easy access to the Malecon, shopping and transportation options. Just finished renovations. Very kind owner/manager. Great atmosphere.
Turning on the air conditioner seemed to be an issue. After arriving, found out that it was only to be turned on after midnight. That didn't happen.until I questioned it. Other than that, this is a great facility

Everything is great about this hostel. Great location in the center, great facilities for the value, really great vibes. The staff and regulars feel more like a family than travelers / volunteers and share that feeling with the guests. Definitely one of the better chill hostels I've ever been to and looking forward to staying again!
There's not much to complain about for the price of the hostel. Anything not working or dirty got handled immediately and the dorm rooms get a bit warm for a couple hours in the evening but it's 35 degrees outside all day not much you'd expect.

Host was so accommodating and friendly. Great vibes for relaxing. Kitchen has everything you need to make a great meal including gas burners. Needed to park and was helped to find a spot right in front of the hostel. Great for a quick trip to La Paz.
it was all great.

I had an incredible experience at this hostel! The location is amazing and so is the hostel itself. I felt like I was at home the entire time I was there. The owner, Mariano, went out of his way to make sure my stay was perfect. All of the staff were so helpful and sweet. I wish I could have stayed longer. Thank you Mariano and all of the hostel volunteers for making mine and Bodie's trip so special!!

The staff is greet. The owner is amazing thanks for everything Mariano!
I actually stayed three nights altogether.
I came back ten days later and they were fantastic again. They even helped me get a ride to the airport as I didn’t know Uber can’t take you there!
Jerson was a volunteer there when I was staying and was straight up just a bro. Couldn’t have asked for better customer service overall.
Showers and toilets are super clean
There’s a laundry service which is great
There’s a small pool
Everything you need pots and pans wise to cook
Very friendly vibe
Fresh water available. You can drop a few pesos if you want to fill a bottle. It’s a great system.
Located ten fifteen minutes away from the malecón on foot. I felt very safe to walk around. Even alone.
The mattress was a bit on the soft side. I’m a heavier lad and it definitely sunk in after a few minutes and stuck to me in the heat, the fan helped with the latter though.

Hostel is super affordable, conveniently located and Mariano, the owner, and Mariana, the host, are super nice and helpful making recommendations and helping you out taking care of luggage if you go for a day trip, they also look for your missing things, like the wallets I left after the check out. They create a really nice vibe among the guests as well, this is a nice place to rest and plan your trip in BCS!

Nice location just a bit in town from the malecon. A little inside area for working with desks where the wifi is strong. The backyard is great with hammocks, pool and a firepit area. The people working there do a good job of including everyone. Lots of nights around the fire and even threw pizza parties for dinner. I stayed in a private room that worked well. Basic, clean, all I needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Such a lovely place! For sure one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at (and been to more than 300 all around the world). Situated in a central area of La Paz, with great atmosphere, amenities and the crew, delicious breakfast, choice between having your own peace in the quiet dormitory or being in one of the common areas reading a book, working or hanging with the other guests by fire and pool, with some music...
And Mariano, the owner, is a great guy who takes really nice care of his guests, giving his best to provide and improve everything what one would need. (He even gave me a ride with his motorbike to the airport after I had an issue with Uber driver not showing.)
The only thing I'm sorry for is that I couldn't stay longer, but for sure I'll be back! ❤️🌊✨🌵

The place is very well equipped with fully recycled and unique pieces realized by the owner...the staff is very friendly and we felt like home. Outside there's a nice patio with a swimming pool, hammocs and sofas around a campfire, a very welcoming atmosphere. A nice area with a shared kitchen is also available. Good job guys! Sara and Michele from Italy :)
Was all lovely

Great vibes at Sunset Hostel. It’s a social hostel but mixed dorms are on the 2nd floor if you want to take space from the common area. There are occasional parties and I made many friends. The owner Mariano is very helpful and really works to help you have a good stay. The bed was comfortable and the shower is hot. The location is excellent, very close to the Malecón and other attractions. I liked it enough that I came back!

The guy who is fixing up the place is friendly and he is trying his best. but the place is not ready for business yet.
I’ve stayed in hostels all over the world for years, but this one doesn’t make the cut yet.
there is construction noise throughout the day as the place is being fixed up. when I was there the advertised pool was out of service. The sanitary facilities are pretty improvised with wooden boards you can hardly call a door. In the dorm there was no ac which is fine, but they also didn’t air the room. so it smelled sweaty and lacked oxygen. If anyone does anything at night it can get loud as the simple doors don’t provide any noise protection. The lockers are hard to access. The lights in my bed were not working. The privacy curtains at the bed provide neither privacy nor do they dim the light as they are thin and too small. The mattress was small and uncomfortable (old springs poking the back all night). The wifi in the patio is spotty and keeps disconnecting.
overall, this might be a good place to stay a year from now. But it just is not yet.

Sunset is one of those hostels which you book for one night and where you end up staying much longer than you expected. The hostel is only a few months old, hence Mariano, the host, is always trying to make sure that everyone has a great time and does everything he can to answer any request. He gives great advices when it comes to things to do and can help booking any tour/activity/rental/etc. There are very nice indoor and outdoor common areas, making it very easy to meet other fellow travelers and volunteers, the overall athmosphere is super friendly! Little bonuses: individual curtain, light and electrical plug on each bed in the dorms, hot shower and free coffee/pancakes/fruits every morning even if not mentioned here. Best hostel in town for sure, only a few blocks away from the Malecón!

Sunset hostel is a place where you feel comfortable and at home directly from the beginning. The owner makes sure that you have everything you need and also helps you with renting a car, booking tours etc. As a female solo traveler I felt very safe. It's a cozy place to hang out and meet other travelers.Highly recommended! Gracias Mariano!
