The owner was wonderful! He was kind and we had no problems with our room. Even held my lunchbox for me when I left it behind.

Lovely place nice area great trip

This is your typical inn by the water. Nothing fancy (except the espresso machine) just a simple room and bed to sleep in. I wouldn't mind going back if i needed a room. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great property with only a couple of examples of fraying around the edges. (Okay, only one, really: press-board of sink pedestal had been wet at some point and was delaminating. Room 222, for the sake of management's attention.) Great location for our needs, very friendly and helpful staff, nicely furnished and appointed with amenities. Far better than the price point would suggest.

The hotel is basic. We got to the check in counter but the door was closed. So we pressed a button and the young man signaled us to go around the building where we had to slide our ID and credit card thru a window slit as if it was a high security bank. Pretty silly considering there's a door and it was raining. He was nice and adjusted our room as the one we first had was too cold and drafty. The heaters are pretty old and loud, so bring your ear plugs. The pillows are big enough for a Chihuahua dog to sleep comfortably, so please up the size my friends! Oh, and perhaps put some warm light lamps on the night stand so it doesn't feel like a warehouse with the white lights overhead. But decent value for price and it was quiet given the low season.

The stay was excellent. No elevator if have a disability with climbing stair. The hotel did make accommodations by giving me another the next day on the girst floor since they were all booked the evening got there for a 4 day stay.

Room was clean with basic but working facilities. Staff were friendly and good location near downtown. Some very rowdy guests tarnished our stay banging on walls and smoking weed at 4am. Not the perfect hotel but still worth a stay.

The room met my family’s needs for the evening as we were traveling through town on a road trip. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, although the base of the bed has a metal skirt all the way around that makes an annoying noise when you accidentally bump into it. Overall a good place to sleep.

Andy is really nice and made us feel really welcome. The room we had was really spacious and comfortable. The espresso machine was great. We’re looking forward to coming back again!

The fan in the bathroom of room #273 was horribly loud and annoying.
On a minor note, the hot water in that bathroom was controlled by the wrong faucet (should be left and it was right).

Rooms were basic, but clean. Bed is comfortable. Owners seem to care about keeping things well maintained. Nice coffee options beside lobby.

They had foaming hand soap in the bathroom! I hate bar soap, and was so pleasantly surprised! The front desk staff was really nice :) I’d stay here again

Anan, the manager, could not be more helpful. The is a fairly simple, economic place to stay about 1 mile from the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Our room was very big, spotlessly clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. If you're looking for luxury, try elsewhere at twice the price. But it had all you need for a safe, comfortable, quiet stay. Plenty of parking around the building. A walk to downtown would be 15 to 20 minutes, probably the same to the Boardwalk. All they have for amenities is a big coffee/capuccino machine next to the office. I booked it on a Saturday night for $169 when everything else was 2 to 3 times that price in Santa Cruz. Would stay there again.

I stayed there and the staff was very accommodating and great.

Sheets had multiple small stains on them, but did not smell bad. The bathroom had not been swept and there were multiple hairs and fibers from the last guest

Great little place, just there for one night while travelling down to LA from SF. The guy at the front desk was super helpful. Even gave me restaurant options around the motel. Place was clean and bed was comfy. All I needed really.

Hotel is average. The square pillows on the bed are super uncomfortable. I also was awakened by noisy people in the room next to me. They sounded belligerent drunk shouting on their balcony at 2 in the morning for who knows how long until I called front desk and they finally stopped. I wouldn’t stay here again. There was one positive for me- the coffee machine in the lobby.

Good hotel for a one-night stay. Our room was next to a major street so a bit noisy. Room was clean and comfortable.

The room was uncomfortably dark, especially the bathroom that only had the mirror light and no natural light. There was no light in the shower area at all. We also found an old dirty sock behind a chair by the dresser.
This property has potential but upkeep and finishes seem neglected.

Fantastic front desk service

Worked good for the price, the rooms on the Parking lot side, upstairs had a semi-shared balcony, and the slider was the only means of fresh air into the rooms, so either leave slider open with screen door, or use A/C, which was kinda wonky but worked. Not nicest bathroom, but again got a good price, so for one night worked fine. Room was not bad.

got stuck next to the janitor closet so we heard a lot of noise in the evening and morning time. Also housekeeping knocked before our checkout time and told us that "front desk told them that we were checked out already"
