It is outdated and could be much cleaner but it’s right in the center with all the walkable options. Updates need to be done and cleanliness needs to be upped we asked them to change the sheets and they they just used the same ones and made the bed

Was a bad experience for me and my family, we arrived at the 11:00 pm and l checked my room and the toilet didn’t work, l had to put water with a bucket and I reported the inconvenience to the administrator and said that she didn’t make nothing for me because the hotel was full, it was a bad hotel for me.

It was very attractive inside, with an old-style central atrium, and lots of beautiful plants. The room was a bit tiny, and the bed a little harder than we're used to, but it was clean and well kept. We did have a little issue with water pressure in the mornings, which kept the toilet from refilling after it was flushed, and sometimes there was very little coming from the cold water side of the sink faucet, and/or the water on the hot side wasn't hot in the shower. But we loved it for it's location being so close to the Zocalo and walkable to large market areas! And can't beat the price!

Located centrally to the Zocalo. Inside, the room assigned shared space with the restaurant and lobby. The room did not minimize the noise and smell. People were smoking in the lobby (enclosed) and the smell was in the room. On-site manager stated they would refund the Orbitz charge and also cancel the American Express charge they made by mistake (2 charges for the same stay). After a month of waiting and no resolution for a refund, the experience left is negative.

I payed way too much for what you get - a room for two nights over 300cad$ ?? Oh well - it was convenient as it is in the centre. I’m not staying there anymore.

Place makes you feel like you have traveled to the early 1900s. It is more of an old hacienda looking place. The hotel is not fancy but they are super clean. The beds are a little hard and the pillows so if you have your favorite pillow I suggest you take it with you. The hotel has a little restaurant and food is good. They just take a little long to serve you because usually they only had one waiter working at a time. If you are not in a hurry its OK. The location is super close to the zocalo so you can't beat that. We had a good experience overall.

My family and I spent 1 night in downtown Oaxaca. The next day we drove towards Huatulco beach. This place is located in a great central spot. As soon as you walk out you see the beautiful "Teatro Macedonio Alcala". All other downtown places were easily accessible if you walked in the city. Do take note that this hotel is a historic building so do not expect modern day comfort. Just like any other historical buildings, they are interesting and unique and sacrificing certain comforts such as ac and more is worth it. The hotel had a full restroom with enough beds for my family of 6. The 1st floor had a queen + twin, and the 2nd floor had a queen + twin. It was clean. The only thing that we did not know is that parking is not included. We had to pay for 24 hour parking at the nearby Hotel Mayis. Other parking places did not offer 24 hour parking.
