About this house rental
This large Georgian home has so much to offer. The ground floor holds the majority of the communal spaces. The living area has a grand yet cosy feel with plush sofas and log burner, this gives the perfect setting for enjoying your favourite shows on the smart TV. The adjoining doors between the livingroom and kitchen give the option for a more open plan feel. The kitchen has ample space, fridge, large cooker, microwave, kettle and toaster making it ideal for a house of this size. The kitchen also has a small dining table and sofa making it feel more social. From the kitchen the utility can be accessed providing extra space, fridge freezer, washing machine and dryer as well as providing access to the back yard. Also downstairs is a large dining room which has a traditional yet modern feel making this house perfect for entertaining. The ground floor is also home to a WC.
Sleeping up to 15 people, there are a total of eight bedrooms in this property, the first of which is a cosy double on the ground floor. On the first floor there are three double rooms one of which is ensuite. There is also a room with two single beds on the first floor. Moving to the second floor there are another two double bedrooms and one single bedroom.
Across the upper floors there are a total of three bathrooms. On the first floor there is an ensuite attached to a double bedroom with a shower cubicle. The first floor also holds a family bathroom with twin sinks and freestanding bath. The second floor has a family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.
From the ground floor there are two doors to access the backyard, from here you can access the hot tub! This home also has a turfed garden opposite the front of the house.
The beauty of this house is perpetuated by a number of traditional features including Georgian style windows and shutters, a number of fireplaces, high ceilings, decorative coving, grand light fixtures and a number of paintings throughout the house!
Situated just outside of Whitehaven’s town centre and historic harbour, this house is an ideal location for those looking to enjoy the offerings of Whitehaven and Cumbria. Whitehaven has a number of local pubs and restaurants around the town centre and harbour. There is also a small convenience store approximately a 2 minute walk from the property.
Whitehaven is approximately 27 miles from Keswick in the Northwest Lake District and 48 miles from Windermere and the South Lake District making it a great base for exploring the beautiful Lake District. Although this property is ideal for holiday makers, it would also suit those in the area for work with local transport links to West Cumberland Hospital, Sellafield and Westlakes Science Park.
Although you may park near to the property we ask you to park on the small road on the right hand side of the property in front of the garage. We ask that you are mindful of where you park as this is a quiet residential area. If there are issues with the parking or additional parking space is required there is payable parking in the town centre.
Whitehaven also has accessible public transport links with trains running from Carlisle to Barrow-in-Furness and local bus services running to other local towns.
