Great first time in Caen. Will definitely come back

Staff was very friendly and helpful! Plenty of recommendations where to go in town and booked a table for us in (what turned out to be) a great restaurant

Airco needs to be able to switch on when windows cannot be opened. Finding the parking of the hotel is a bit of a challenge

Staff was amazing, breakfast was wonderful, room was comfortable & clean. Great location.

Parking was a problem. Only 4 places and you have to reserve ahead of time. Luckily there was public underground parking within walking distance.

The location was very central & very nice friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was good.

Thought the decor & rooms would be reflected by the name The Moderne?? Would benefit from a make over. Room small enough, bathroom could be updated & better toiletries considering the price.

Best Travel Experience Ever

The staff was amazing!! We booked last minute when we unexpectedly had to stay over in Caen. I've never been greeted as warmly and offered so much assistance.

central position. staff were very friendly and accommodating.

room was quite small, and pictures of property were misleading, at least to me when quickly booking, there is a picture of a old stately looking building with a courtyard, 2nd or 3rd picture on profile. I thought we were booking there.

a short stay in Caen en route to the port. a lovely location but the service was questionable.

The location was great.

The receptionist told us she had to check our room was ready when we arrived after the check in time the mini bar wasn’t ready and we had an interruption from the staff. somebody walked into the room without knocking while I was lying in the bed

Soundproofing could be better, especially with the nearby music bar. A stronger shower would also be nice.

Location was great right in the heart of Caen. staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful

A lot of noise would be heard from the nearby bars until midnight every night. Bathrooms were a bit dated and could do with a bit of an update

Fabulous hotel with stupendous staff

All the staff members are extremely kind and diligent. The breakfast is varied and all the food offered for that meal is of a high quality. The lady in charge of the breakfast is extraordinary helpful and friendly, as well as very clever. The room was very quiet and comfortable, so that every night during my stay there I had a good rest. This fact together with the excellency of the hotel in general made my stay in Caen more pleasant and profitable.

In the shower cabin there is no shelf to place the shampoo and conditioner flasks while taking a shower. That causes one to have to put them on the floor. I told the receptionist that the shower gel flask had run out of gel. Notwithstanding that, it was not filled up and therefore on the following day it was still empty.
