What a hidden gem in the area! this ranch is so welcoming and comfortable ! the location is the perfect place to explore jasper and tucked away from
the crowds. So peaceful and yet also social !
Would love to see the cabins restored as vintage accommodations.

Lovely view from the room, great breakfast. Enjoyed our walk up mount Solomon, hosts very welcoming and good at advising on where to go.
Rooms lacking sound proofing (think we were particularly unfortunate to have some extremely inconsiderate guests making noise until gone 2am outside the rooms). Shower not great kept fluctuating hot/cold and not very powerful. Not as much walking etc. on your doorstep as we were hoping for- most other guests using to commute back and to to jasper.

Food was good, room was clean - this was clearly going to be less luxurious but it was clean and quirky and staff were lovely
The bridge coming in needs to be cleared

The breakfast was good food, home cooking. Like I used to get at the farm. The mornings were very relaxing, coffee and beautiful scenery.

The location makes up for the rather rustic and basic rooms. Everything was clean, though, with all the things you need for a comfy stay. The shared space with a piano and fireplace was very cozy.

Great location and lovely hosts. Having a common area outside your room and complimentary coffee and tea was absolutely lovely. Plus the views were fantastic
The rooms were a bit drafts and the pillows were just okay.

We loved trails there so convenient to go and lots to explore!
The breakfast was great especially the mini cinnamon buns. The disappointed part was the staff. The chef was quite rude with our kids. She seemed not welcome the kids at all. When we were trying to get some food in the lobby. The staff yelled both my kid and my friend’s kid. “They are not allowed to touch the food here”. When we brought this issue to the owner he responded as it’s our policy for food handling. I totally understand that but maybe with a manner? Will never ever go back for sure!

The rustic/modern theme combination was wonderful. Free breakfast was excellent. The ambiance of the property was great and of course, seeing the mountains! The room was clean and well equipped with the basic necessities.
The gravel road was a tad rough for the motorbikes. Other than that it was a wonderful time!

Very spacious
Needs a lot of tlc - the bedspreads we’re from the 60,s the curtains were unhooked - the chairs outside had bird poop on them

Staying at the Black Cat ranch was one of the biggest highlights of my trip. The drive to the ranch is nothing short of spectacular. Infact it was as beautiful as the drive to Jasper itself. This place is a hidden gem that I would recommend all travellers coming to Jasper to check out. The hospitality is unparalleled and so was the breakfast!!! Loved the overall experience!! Will certainly stay here everytime I come to the mountains. :)

The property is well away from the touristy part of the area (which was exactly what I wanted), and the room had a great view of the horses in the paddock. Breakfast was phenomenal, filling, and a little different every morning
Due to the extreme heat wave- AC would have been amazing. However, even though it was after hours, we were still able to borrow a fan for our room which helped immensely

The hot breakfast was excellent, served on time and lots of choices.
Assistance on appropriate trails for hiking and features was helpful..
The 'step back in time" - to be in nature and secluded was delightful.
Just walking and contemplation, where one can unwind and read unfinished books, brought perspective and peace.
The general irritants that come with nature, "no-see-ums and mosquitoes" yet the swallows were doing amazing work to reduce the impact on the soft-skinned people.

Breakfast was amazing, fresh and homemade with great staff.
Room had super comfy beds, hot showers. Had some issues with the door latching but other than that it was great.
Location was perfect for hiking and exploring.
Front stairs are a bit steep and tilt forward. I had a hard time going down them especially carrying my bags and a cooler.

Food, location, staff were helpful and friendly. Beautiful accommodations
Rooms could have been a bit cleaner. When we retrieved something we had dropped under the bed, we found dirty tissues. Other than that, our stay was exceptional. 4.9 stars from us.
