Great kitchen, people, and good memories. Would stay again

There’s a proper kitchen where you can cook or bake, it’s really well stocked, has everything you need, a communal TV area where you can binge out on Netflix after work and chat to everyone. For me it’s great because I only have to compete with Roberto for the remote. there is also another communal space to hang out upstairs. Everyone is friendly and feels a bit like a family here. Many people do FIFO so it’s not too party and pretty chill during my experience which is perfect for me as I work in the city. Melanie who is the boss is great. She’s funny, and goes out of her way to take care of everyone here.

Laundry facilities could be changed to card operated instead of coin. I have been binging out on money heist after work every day trying to get through all 5 seasons and Melanie gave a MASSIVE spoiler by accident, so be very careful if you’re watching something for the first time and she’s around 😄otherwise, all good.

Amazing stay

Friendly folks that feel like family and makes you feel like home Clean rooms and communal areas Had a comfortable and cozy stay Nice location Great amenities with a fireplace going The manager Rob is an amicable and down-to-earth dude that was phenomenal in upgrading the hostel and keeping the place lively and fun. Amazing job Rob 👍

This is the best backpackers in Perth Western Australia ( rob the manager) is excellent 👌 with all the effort he does in making it very comfortable for everyone he does a great job. Running the office, cleaning up after others dishes, cleaning washing and rooms as in vacuum or sweeping n mopping every day and even provides a barby 1 a week or Every second week on a Saturday all by himself. Can't get much better than that 👍

Great place. Never been to a backpackers with air fryers. I always have space in the fridge because you get a bag each. So many renovations going on. Manager is always friendly and always working hard to improve the hostel.

Poor

New manager is abusive. After we booked for one week he asked my boyfriend to leave because he no longer wants him to stay, without any explanation. I arrived in Perth after 2 weeks working and found myself with my luggages without a place to stay.

Rob, the manager, is quite nice and he's always working to improve the conditions in the hostel. :) Good facilites, enough beds per room, great price.

Staff are friendly and welcoming. Secure entry after hours. Well equipped. Vending machine. Toiletries for sale at a reasonable price.

Exceptional guest experience

Rob the new manager was exceptional, he genuinely cares about his guests and their comfort and enjoyment, by far the best hostel manager we have met in our 9 years around the world. The free bbq was amazing, again the best hostel bbq we have ever had. The organisation and security of the hostel where great, the kitchen was big and very clean lots of fridge and shelf storage for food. The location is great only 10 min walk to the city and a few min to North bridge bars and restaurants.

The hostel’s an old building but really good looked after. As soon as you check in you can tell that the owner really cares about the hostel and their guests. Clean, good rooms and amenities, plus a huge kitchen, can’t beat it for this price. Will definitely come back and recommend 👍🏽

The manager changed some weeks ago and now the hostel looks amazing. Very clean and a lot of new things. The staff very nice. Best BBQ in a hostel ever since 4 years of traveling. They have this free bbq/drinks every month.

Feeling like at home

Simply amazing! The management just changed a couple weeks ago and everything improved a lot, buying and fixing stuff day by day. The hostel is very clean, tidy and well organized. The kitchen is open 24h, there is a car park and a very nice backyard with table, chairs and a bbq. If you come during the week is even better, because there is an amazing fireplace in the common area. 100% raccomanded.
