Every room was differently designed. The hotel was very intimate and personal
We had to change rooms a couple of times because of plumbing issues

The staff was welcoming but I had several issues arise during my stay.
The safe was broke and they weren’t able to assist for hours, i almost missed my flight because the safe stop working and the master wouldn’t open it. I had to wait for 3 hours until someone with the other key came. I also had money and jewelry come up missing they said they were going to do an investigation it has been two weeks and still have not heard from them.

The location was great, its a beautiful charming place. its cozy. The junior suite i stayed in was lovely. The staff were very helpful, responsive and honest. Great team. We also had forgotten some items in the room on check out and they alerted us.
When i checked in, they upgraded me to an executive room. Unfortunately the room was not clean, actually i think it had not been used for a while and had accumulated dirt in one of the corners. I raised a complaint and they promptly changed me to a junior suite (what i had booked) which was awesome. Secondly, the quoted breakfast charge is 220 Cedis, however the bill was 292! Too many taxes not declared. It would be great if the total cost of breakfast (including) taxes is declared upfront.

I booked this hotel four months prior to my stay. I arrived at the hotel, and they told us our room was given away and all books were full. They proceeded to say they will take us to their sister hotel and we’d have to pay the same price. It was very disappointing to say the least. Beware!! If you get a room at a great rate off Booking.com they’ll give your room away to someone who’ll pay more! Never booking a stay here again.

Staff were nice and helpful.
Uncomfortable furniture and room unorganized. Location a little far for tourist and restaurants
3.0
Location was great—close to airport, E Legon, and a bunch of great restaurants and nightlife. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful in making your stay more convenient (private transport services at affordable rates, organizing Covid test at the hotel, etc). I’d previously stayed at Kempinski and definitely appreciated the more personalized services offered here. The building facade is elegant. Rooms are spacious and well-equipped.
The facilities are a bit run down, there was even a corner of the ceiling on first floor patched up with cardboard boxes—I’ve never seen that in a hotel. Poor lighting in the rooms. I specifically asked them not to enter my room for cleaning during my 2-night stay, and had a do not disturb sign, but when I left the hotel the cleaner entered and rearranged my stuff, which felt like a bit of a violation. Upon check-out, the staff overcharged my transport (applied different hourly rates, used the wrong exchange rate for some trips) — if I hadn’t inspected the bill, I’d have paid way more than I should. This sort of thing breaks down trust, so I wouldn’t stay there again.

Well decorated, clean room.
Lovely bathroom.
Great Wi-Fi. I was able to join a zoom meeting for > 2 hours without difficulty.
I got no response to a query I had sent about my booking sent via the Booking.com messaging system.
After 3 days, I had to re-message then skype call the hotel before a response was given.
Booking.com said the hotel offered a complimentary airport shuttle service but the hotel said it charges $20/trip. The airport is ~10 minutes drive away.
Booking.com said the hotel had a swimming pool but that had been remove some years ago & replaced with a decorative fountain.
Hotel said they could only accept cash in GHC or $.
The hotel took a credit card payment but the sum taken in pounds sterling was 25% higher than it said it was going to be on my booking.com reservation. Although staff were polite when I queried it & said they had taken the agreed amount in dollars, it left a bad taste. I don’t know if the issue was with the hotel or Booking.com but it has left me wary of both now.
Front of house staff are very friendly but do not seem very competent e.g. able to put telephone calls through correctly to my room.
I was woken up in the middle of the night to inform me that my car (which I didn’t have) had its lights on.
The costs of meals is high e.g full English breakfast (which was very nice) with fruit & toast is 150GC = £15 = $20.
I asked for my 2 suitcases to be brought from my room and as I had booked hotel transport, stupidly assumed that they would put my suitcases in the car. I arrived at the airport without any of my suitcases. When I returned to the hotel, 1 suitcase was sitting in the lobby (completely unnoticed by reception staff) & the other was still in my room on the suitcase table. No apology was given.
