Very spacious, clean and comfy beds.
Needs quite a lot of TLC in places.

Location was great. Cottage was warm enough. Enough separate bedrooms for privacy. Garden was private. Plenty of off road parking. Reasonable selection of board games.
Doors were difficult to open and lock. Garden was not secure for dogs. Fridges were not all fully working. Not quite enough wash/tolilet facilities for number of people.

Gorgeous house, great host. Honestly just such a beautiful property and absolutely huge. Clean and well equipped.
Better curtains in the bedrooms would be appreciated, we went in June so we’re woken up at 4am everyday as it was so bright!

This is a lovely property, we we’re 100% catered for. The whole cottage is so well equipped for everybody’s needs. The bedrooms were spacious and clean, the living rooms & kitchen are perfect to relax in. The garden is beautiful and it was a fantastic touch leaving coal for the BBQ and the drive can hold many cars which is very helpful. I can’t fault this beautiful property. 100% recommended and thank you for the Prosecco ☺️
Not a dislike but more of an observation - as the property is pet friendly it isn’t pet safe as the main road is fully accessible, a gate at the drive entrance would have been perfect.

The cottage was perfect for a family of 5 adults, who could have their own space.
One of the double bedroom windows was broken so we could not close it tight at night.

Amazing period features, really spacious and lots of home comforts too
Small doorways and creaky floorboards take a little time to get use to but really add to the charm

A beautiful English country cottage and made for a magical family Christmas
was a little tired in places but for us it added to the character.

I loved the quirkiness of this property and the kids did too. Lots of beautiful features inside and out. Great outdoor space where the kids could play and some nice walks around the area, including a great local pub with giant chess in the garden.
Beautiful fireplace and facilities for a large group. A big dining table and plenty of chairs and space for us to enjoy games and family time.
The owner was really accommodating, allowing an early check in and providing information on best places to eat in the surrounding area. Also allowing us to postpone our trip due to family illness. Can’t recommend them enough. There was even a bottle of Prosecco when we arrived as a welcome gift!
There’s absolutely nothing to dislike about this place!!
Just be careful of the low beams/doors but then that’s what makes this place so special. You only bang your head once and then remember for the next time!!!

Property has a great feel to it for and old styled cottage.Kitchen was great to cook a large meal for plenty of people and few lounges certainly helped with 8+. Was plenty of space to park the cars! Garden was a great size and could see perfect for families! Great location to get to shops and the big entertainment hub in Milton Keynes. For the price we paid can’t fault too much about the cottage and was perfect for friends meeting together.
The property could have been slightly cleaner. Part of the downstairs wasn’t really used past the dining room and with some improvements could definitely make a nice addition to the cottage.

Kitchen living room and garden were very nice bedrooms are quirky in roof space lots of beams to negotiate and uneven floors not for the Person who needs assistance. But clean and bathroom very manageable.
Nothing really bad just movement upstairs snd through loft area was restrictive a few bumped heads 😂

Plenty of room. Great character. And charm
Some general maintenance needed. We know it's an old property

Beautiful Thatched Cottage with lots of character and quirkiness & homely kitchen
Lovely garden space with barbecue & play area for children
Would benefit with en-suite bathroom for top floor bedroom

The house was great and quirky, loads of space and great location to explore nearby Willen lake, Woburn Safari and a great pub a few minutes walk.

We had a lovely stay at Yew Tree Cottage. The cottage was so quirky and imperfectly perfect for our family get together, with the unlevel floors and low ceilings which added to the character. The garden is lovely and sunny with a play area for little ones.
The cottage did not come up on Google maps so it was necessary to search the post code and keep your eyes peeled.

Wonderfully quirky, old, characterful house with a good garden. The garden had been well tended before our arrival and the bedrooms and reception rooms were clean and tidy. The owner had turned on the heating against the unusually cold May weather.
Unfortunately, the cleaning, which was good elsewhere, hadn't extended to the kitchen. We may well have been the first visitors for some time and the surfaces in the kitchen all had a layer of dust. We found ourselves washing cutlery, plates, and so on (and removing the tablecloth) before we could use them. I hope that was a one-off mistake. But it's knocked a mark off the overall score. I've also reduced the score for the usability of the property. Downstairs, it seems to be effectively two adjoining houses, with two lounges and two kitchens for example. Everywhere, there are low ceilings and lintels (they, the woodwork and the wonky floors are part of the charm) are hazardous. We all bumped our heads on multiple occasions. Nevertheless, the age and character of the place are such draws I would stay there again.

A quirky thatched property, with nooks & crannies to explore! The place is homely and comfortable too!
