A beautiful cottage located in the quieter, rural north away from the throngs of tourists. That said, it is still well located to get to the tourist spots.
Cottage was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our 3 nights there.
Nothing.

The surrounding area was BEAUTIFUL! The apartment was nice, and having 2 bathrooms was a plus since we are 2 couples traveling together. The windows in the upstairs bedrooms provided wonderful views!
It would have been a little bit better if there had been a living room/family room area, rather than just one couch in the kitchen.

We liked the peace and quiet and the open space, we enjoyed our location and had plenty of places to visit.
Nothing to not like everything was fine.

Lovely clean house, comfortable beds, really nice bathrooms. The heating worked well and was effective.
The house was really a long way from everything we wanted to do.
4.4
Great peaceful location: ideal for people who want to rest and relax but at the same time it is close to key Skye attractions in the north of the island. The house is very well equipped, ideal for a family or a group of friends. The heating works well. Kitchen suitable for cooking. Quick and friendly contact with the owner. Great views, ships everywhere.
Smell in the bathrooms (mold?) but I guess it is a common problem in such old houses.

The view was lovely, the cottage was cosy and comfortable.
The farm track leading to property was unsuitable for my car and we had to park 300 metres away. Also the sceptic tank produced a strong smell in the downstairs bathroom.

interesting location. extremely quiet

Everything, was perfect.
Would stay again.
Perfect location and great information leaflet.
Wasn't separate and was connected to a lived in house so wasn't quiet or remote as we thought.
Beds were small and driveway was rough but nothing that would put me off staying again just worth knowing for your first time.

The location was amazing, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by fields and sheep! The ground floor is a bit a old compare to the first floor, the decoration is not the same but it is cosy! Fact I do not know is the landlords are actually living in the same house! it was not a problem for us but I guess it is good to know !
The heaters had timers, it means they can run only for 2 hours maximum and if you want to start them again you have to wake up during the night because if you don’t they go completely cold. The results was very cold nights, temperature were close to zero outside but you can’t have heater running during the night… I get the energy saving but this would be better to explain before booking because this is an important point and to be honest if we knew this we would have choose another place. That’s a shame because the place is nice but not nice enough to be freezing all night !

Lovely little cottage in a quiet location. Clean property with all you need for a comfortable stay. Plenty of extra blankets in the bedrooms and on the sofa to keep people cosy when the wind might hit.
The heating warms up nicely. The main bathroom shower is a dream with the rainfall shower head. The kitchen is well equipped with the tools you need to make basic meals. Love the added addition of tea and coffee-making facilities so you won't be stuck on your first day.
Lovely location in Skye and so close to numerous tourist points. The owner was attentive and great with communication
Ideally, the property could benefit from the ability for 4 comfy chairs in the main lounge area but understand the space is limited.

The size was fantastic. The facilities were all great. The beds were so comfy. I had the best three nights sleep.
The cottage was very clean.
Nothing.

The house is big, clean and nicely decorated, it had most of what we needed, including all the amenities in the kitchen and a washing machine.
The house was freezing (we were there in mid-October) and the only way to heat it up were small electric heaters that work for max. 2 hours at a time so at night or after coming in, it takes time to heat it up. It's a self check-in which was fine and even appreciated as we weren't sure what time we're arriving exactly but there are detailed written instructions for leaving the house - taking off sheets from the bed, putting towels in plastic bags, recycling the trash etc. which made us feel a bit weird. Overall, not a very comfortable experience but the location is very deserted if that's what you're after.

we loved the farm like setting and surrounding land. You could see the ocean from the place.
The house was clean and quiet. The owner was very helpful when needed.

Location that was away from all urban life. Scenery spectacular
Everything was fine

bed was too small

A really nice accomodation in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by beautiful nature. Perfect place to explore the northern part of the Isle of Skye and to simply relax within nature.
4.4
beautiful area, cozy house, friendly and helpful host. Everything needed is provided. The surrounding is stunning. Very clean!
bed in master bedroom is a bit narrow, so we moved to the second bedroom with two separate beds.
4.4
Great contact from the initial booking. Accurate instructions on where to find the property. Views exceptional accompanied by the easy connection to the whole of the island attractions. Would definetely return and bring grandchildren as was a great place to stay.
We have nothing negative to say host was available if needed and we loved our short stay.
4.4
very good
master bedroom shower space is small.

Cosy comfortable house that’s close to a lot of the stuff we wanted to see on Skye. Easy to get the keys, great internet, nice beds and just a generally nice place to relax after a day exploring.
I had no issues with the property at all.

The location was good.
The check in and out times made what should have been a weekend stay in effect a days stay. I wouldn't repeat and will look at check in and out times before I book anywhere again
4.4
The location was stunning, even in poor weather. Well equipped kitchen and good showers. Good quality toiletries, bedding and towels.
Gateway very muddy and door/entrance close to flooding. Bath not able to be used due to plumbing issue (owner did notify on day of arrival, mentioning it was the end of the season etc etc). In a cottage that sleeps 4, I would expect better provision of comfortable seating in the kitchen/living area. 1 2 x seater sofa and 1 x occasional chair in addition to the dining table and chairs just it's sufficient. Little things like wallpaper not stuck down is also really disappointing.

We had a brilliant two night stay at the cottage. The property is lovely - spotlessly clean and with all the amenities that you need for a short stay (or for much longer if you're lucky enough!). There was good communication throughout from the host, and the rural location provided an excellent base to explore the Island. I would highly recommend a visit to Skye and a stay at this property, which exceeded all of our expectations and more.
Not much - there were only positives!
4.4
We loved the location, every time we were leaving or arriving I had to look around and take it all in. Enjoy having the cows and sheep as your neighbours. Had great nights sleep (keep an eye out for the stars on a clear night). Kitchen had everything we needed utensil wise. Sonya was always available and responded timely. One of the best parts of our holiday.
Heaters in the bedrooms didn't warm the room enough but once under the bed sheets it was cosy. The path to the entrance of the house gets muddy when wet so you always get your shoes muddy (unless you jump the small grassy area).
