About this house rental
The space
This home has it all: modern amenities, a quiet location, and proximity to all that Seattle has to offer. Furnishings include comfy bedding and towels, furniture, and updated appliances.
The living areas are spread over three levels. The entry level is the main living area. This open concept space has a chef's kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. This flows directly to the dining area which includes 3 stools at the breakfast counter, and a dining table that seats 8 and expands to accommodate more.
Continuing from the dining room is the living room, furnished with plenty of seating, a nicely loaded cable TV package (HBO, Showtime, Starz, etc.), and a DVD player. There is a queen size sleeper sofa (with highest end sofa bed mattress on the market) for larger groups. Enjoy our collection of games (Scrabble, cards, etc.) in front of the gas fireplace. This floor also features a powder room.
Up one flight of stairs is a floor with two bedrooms. "Seattle" has a king bed and large closet. The second bedroom, "Travel" offers great flexibility. It is furnished with three beds, including a twin over full bunk bed (solid and sturdy --- not just for kids!) and a standalone twin bed. These two bedroom share a nearby full bathroom with dual sinks separated from the bathtub and toilet for added privacy.
Continuing up to the top floor, you arrive at the full-floor master suite. We call it the "Leisure Suite" based on its luxe appointments and leisure/hospitality industry them. This room has a king bed with dual nightstands. It also has a window air conditioning unit (note that this is the only floor with air conditioning, which is a real rarity in Seattle). There is a large balcony with views overlooking Madison Valley. On a clear day, enjoy the Cascade Mountain Range in the distance. The master suite also has a large walk-in closet and a 5-piece spa bathroom with jetted soaking tub, his and her sinks, and a toilet separated by a door for privacy.
Also in the home is a full-size washer dryer, a one-car parking garage, and lots of storage space.
Each of our homes has been decorated to pay homage to a meaningful facet of our lives. This home ("Wall Street") has a business theme, with tasteful and playful decor celebrating your host's interest in commerce and passion for industries such as travel and technology.
AIR CONDITIONING
Air conditioning is a real rarity in Seattle. This home does not have central A/C, but does have a small window unit air conditioner in the living room and the master bedroom.
Guest access
Access to the home is provided without a cumbersome lock box or key exchange. Instead, you will choose a 4 digit code, and the electronic lock to the home will be programmed work your code for the duration of your stay.
You will have access to the entire home, including garage parking for one car (and plentiful free street parking for additional vehicles). You also have a dedicated storage unit, as well as bicycle storage (both available with prior arrangement).
Interaction with guests
Your hosts, Andy and Lynne, live just down the block. We are here to welcome you and help you with any of your needs during your stay. We are happy to offer you advice for sightseeing and restaurant recommendations.
Guests will receive, in advance, our comprehensive homemade visitors' guide to Seattle, packed with our personal recommendations for dining, activities, and much more.
Do you plan to cook during your stay? By special advanced arrangement (depending on availability), we will fulfill your grocery list and have your home stocked for your arrival.
The neighborhood
This home is central to everything Madison Valley has to offer: great restaurants, parks, hiking, supermarkets, day spas, and more.
Your hosts made Madison Valley their home when settling in Seattle 5 years ago... and haven't looked back since.
We love walking the streets of this neighborhood, and we will gladly suggest fun walks depending on your interests. Stroll to the beach at Madison Park. Walk by multi-million dollar estates. Discover hidden neighborhood gems such as the farmhouse with horses in the yard and the home that doubles as an eclectic art studio and antique truck gallery. Take a walk through the fabled Arboretum to Lake Washington.
Once you have worked up your appetite, enjoy the countless restaurants that Madison Valley ("Little Paris") has to offer. In addition to French gems, try our favorite tapas restaurant or the best Japanese food east of Tokyo. Take your morning coffee in one of numerous bakeries. Or opt for Thai, pan-Asian, craft pizza, Tex-Mex or more.
Our home provides easy access to Downtown (Pikes Place Market, Seattle Art Museum, Seattle Great Wheel), Seattle Center (Space Needle, Chihuly Glass Museum), South Lake Union (MOHAI), University of Washington, and Capitol Hill. All are accessible by car, bus (numerous bus lines a few blocks from home), or for the adventurous, by foot.
If all of this touring (and eating) has you tired, pamper yourself with a visit to a day spa or nail salon. There are several of each within a few blocks of home, and we are happy to point you in the right direction.

Walking distance from downtown but it is hilly and takes about an hour. Quiet neighborhood with several restaurants and stores close by. Easy check in and good communication with owners.
4.7
It was a nice place for our short family stay. Nothing fancy but it fit all our needs. It was located nicely to all the Seattle attractions.
4.7
Overall a nice property in a good location. Walking distance to food and bars. Note they do not have AC on the middle floor but it wasn't too hot so worked well!
4.7
We enjoyed the property, was everything stated online, Our granddaughters were very excited to see the owners left sidewalk chalk on upper deck to use. Very thoughtful of our needs. Would definitely recommend and would reach out again if we visit Seattle in future.
4.7
The rental was clean and had most of what we needed. They wouldn't have known we'd buy crabs and needed the crackers, would they?
Good setup, though we wished there was more seating in the living area to fit the 8 of us.
4.7
We (group of professionals) stayed at the property for a business meeting. The house was clean and roomy. easy drive to the convention center. Some good restaurants in the neighborhood. We enjoyed the stay and would definitely chose the place again.
4.7
I couldn’t be happier with the home or the location.
Home is well appointed (the fireplace is a great addition).
Great communication with the managers, as well.
Will book again
4.7
We had a great stay in the convenient location and easy coordination throughout the booking. Plenty of sleeping arrangements for groups. We had 6 guests and were able to comfortably accommodate everyone, including those needing to work remotely on one day.
4.7
The house worked great. Spacious and in a very convenient location
4.7
This place was great! The cleanliness and location was top notch. We had everything we needed for our stay. The neighbors we met were so nice. The view from the primary bedroom was great. We will definitely stay again.
4.7
The property was very clean, nice and a good location for what we wanted to do while in Seattle. Everything was as advertised. We would definitely stay there again.
4.7
Quite neighborhood, close to many attractions, clean cozy house.

This is a very organized rental company. The house is clean and well appointed. There are many good restaurants within a 7 min of the house. We would stay at this property or at another of this company's properties again.
4.7
Not close to downtown but close enough to Uber in. Quiet neighborhood. Nice place to stay.
4.7
This is a nice home in a cute neighborhood. It was close to the events we had at UW and downtown. The house was immaculate and the owners were very good about communicating and giving instructions for check in and out.
The parking situation in this part of Seattle is a little tight, so don’t bring a big car. There is ample street parking close by.
Thanks for a great stay, just what we needed for our weekend!
4.7
Overall wonderful stay. The place is lovely and just as advertised. Hosts were very communicative and the check in/out process was super easy. Would stay again!
4.7
We found this rental to be in good condition, conveniently located, and very comfortable.
4.7
We had to vacate our home in Seattle for construction, and picked this location because it was convenient. Close to Madison, and it was easy to walk to several nice restaurants. Safeway is also very close. Kitchen well kitted out with most of what you need. Good wifi. One minor negative is the garage, which is VERY small. While I could fit my car inside, it was very tight and the steep narrow driveway will likely scare off timid drivers. Still, we found street parking very close so it wasn't a problem. The smart lock makes getting in easy.
OK - what is up with the "annual report" themed decor? I would love to know the story behind that! :-)
4.7
Very nice, comfortable, close to downtown. We would rent again!

Thank you for a wonderful stay in Seattle. The house was perfect for all 10 of us to use as a homebase for visiting family for the holiday.
4.7
Very clean property with plenty of room for our group of old friends.
4.7
Nice townhouse in good location and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked, and bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Only downside is that this townhouse is located right next to lots of construction, but it wasn’t loud or disruptive on the weekend. Lots of stairs up, so be mindful that unloading the car is a bit of a workout! Overall, great spot.

Great location. Comfortable accommodations. First bedroom with twin over full bunk and additional twin was perfect for our kids. Master on the top floor provided privacy and a great view. Only issue was the pullout couch was not clean, did not have any blankets, and was in fact broken.
4.7
Property is lovely, clean, quiet, and safe. Street parking on flat ground is a bit of a quest, and maneuvering safely to get in and out of the garage is difficult.
4.7
As advertised. Lucky to have had A/C during the record high temperatures during our stay. Good location for us and suited our needs.
4.7
We had an amazing long weekend, in spite of the snowstorm 😆. The home was cozy, warm and perfectly located! Would highly recommend!

This property was very well appointed and in a perfect location for our needs! Very clean and had everything we needed! Hope to stay there again, soon!

Would not recommend for various reasons
UNCOMFORTABLE – There are so many rules/regulations/policies and warning signs in the house that it made us feel VERY uncomfortable. We’re in our late thirties and felt like we were being treated like children..
MISLEADING CONDITION – Pictures look great…but in reality, the place was very used…much worse than a hotel. Toilet seat duck taped, stains on bedding/shower curtain, dirt on carpets, scuff marks on all walls everything is just not in good shape. Ants/Spiders in the bedrooms…
BROKEN AMENITES – Almost everything in the house was busted. Refrigerator did work…leaked water on food, TV remote did not work, DVD player broke, blinds missing panels, no shelves in showers, window a/c units terrible, various towel racks/knobs/cupboards/drawers broken.
LACK OF QUALITY NECESSITIES – You take things for granted at hotels, until you stay at a place like this. Only 1 very small City garbage can, you have to transport your garbage to the City dump if you have more than 55 gallons.
SUB-PAR CLEANING – Their “CDC quality” cleaning is sending 2 meth-addict-looking individuals to the house to clean for a couple hours.
UNRESPONSIVE PROPERTY OWNERS – Would not answer one single phone call and did not work with us on anything COVID related. I would be very concerned if an emergency came up or any assistance was needed.
TWO FACED – The property owners claim they are a big/successful/thriving business so they can’t answer phone calls or address non-emergency issues, but when it comes to giving COVID related refunds or future credits they were just a struggling family business that can’t afford to compromise. Stay with a hotel, they have standards.
CENSORSHIP – There was a guest book…almost all the pages were ripped out except for 2 good reviews about 4 months apart.
WEIRD AREA - You can see right into the surrounding homes, they’re 10 feet apart. Despite the mandatory 9pm quiet time, the neighbors threw a raging party until 4am.
SIZE/SPACE OVER EXAGGRERATED - All aspects of the house are smaller than portrayed in the listing. Neighbors are way to close on all 3 sides, the front area too small to hang out. Says it sleep 10, but really think about where 10 people would actually sleep!
STAY AT A HOTEL – Customer service, ice, garbage cans, standards, responsive staff, etc.

Loved our stay here. It was exactly what we wanted. Hope to be able to stay here again in the future. Heat was not working properly and maintenance arrived promptly .

What I like about this place, me and my friends felt we were at our home, very clean, quiet, nice area, great communication of owner since booking till leaving there. They did their best thstwe had a good stay in Seattle. Definitely it will be in my list for any other trip to Seattle.
4.7
Great property managers.
Very personal and responsive property managers.
4.7
Great location, lovely home
Very nice and useable space. Kids loved it. I could have used a little more air conditioning than it has but I understand that any air conditioning at all is rare in Seattle and it was fine at night.
4.7
Amazing
We came in for our daughter’s graduation from Seattle University with family and the accommodations were great. Everything was clean and had everything you could need. Lynne was very good at communications. Would definitely recommend to anyone to stay her and we would stay again.
Thank you!!
4.7
Central to everything.
Right after the big snow, we met in Seattle to celebrate my husband's birthday; had the whole family in from various locations to celebrate. The house is central to everything, an easy walk to the grocery store, the coffee shop up the street, and even the hospital!! We did not get a rental car and walked everywhere or ordered an uber if need be. You'll love the invigorating walks up and down and through the endless hilly neighborhoods.
4.7
It was Mary Poppins good; perfect in every way!
We meet our son and his wife in Seattle for an early Christmas. Andy & Lynne had a bottle of local wine and a bag full of fun snacks to greet us. It was clean, fresh and easy to find. It was also the perfect distance from the city center. We didn't want to be in the heavily-trafficked Pier area but we wanted to be close enough that Uber and Lyft wouldn't be an issue. The beds were comfy too!
Parking may offer difficulty if you have a large SUV or pick-up truck but we did just fine in our Ford Edge. The location is in a residential area but it's still a city. Plenty of markets and restaurants are close by and within walking distance on a nice day. The northwest is known for cold rain in place of fluffy snow so we stayed in by the fireplace and visited. It was perfect! Thank you, Andy & Lynne!
4.7
Nice property!
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Seattle and this townhome was a perfect location for us! Plenty of space for our family of 5 and a comfortable accommodation. Note that the master suite is on the 3rd floor, and the other bedrooms on the 2nd floor...not an issue for us, but useful to know for planning purposes. Andy and Lynne were quick to respond when we contacted them and were quite thoughtful to leave a Seattle guide aaccompanied by snacks, candies and wine! Would definitely stay again!
