Beautiful home and courtyard, that 3 couples enjoyed for a 5 day trip. Great location near shops, restaurants, historic site. The private parking was a huge bonus!

The Historic Home was beautifully furnished and the location was centrally located.
The courtyard was exquisite and such a wonderful place to relax whether in the morning or late afternoon.
The bedrooms were furnished with higher quality linens which made the night’s end feel more like home. For an older home we expected to have a limited amount of hot water but was pleasantly surprised that we never had that issue.
Communication from the host was immediate and thoughtful with periodic check ins to make sure our stay was enjoyable.
Will definitely book again!

The home is very convenient, well equipped, clean, comfortable along with the availability of parking. The beds were very comfortable, with extra blankets as needed. The owners were able to get us into the property earlier than plan which was wonderful!

We absolutely adored this rental. Perfect location and so beautiful. This place was pristine and quiet. The owners are so helpful as well. We went with two other couples and hope to return. The beds are so comfortable! All three couples commented on the comfort of the beds. By far, my favorite stay in Savannah!

We loved staying here on our recent trip to Savannah. The house is well located if you like to stroll around and explore. Having three king sized beds and three bathrooms made this a perfect place for our three couples. Thank you for providing such a lovely spot for our mini college reunion.

In Savannah for the weekend, we really enjoyed the house. Whether relaxing in the lovely and peaceful garden or walking to restaurants nearby, the location was ideal and we felt like we were in the heart of this lovely old city. The house is lovingly decorated with strong elements of old Southern charm as well as some more modern elements (kitchens and bathrooms). We will be back!

My wife and I and her parents stayed at the property the first week of April -2024. What do you want most when you rent a home? For me, it’s that the pictures match reality. In this case, it does! The entire process of booking, checking-in (accommodated an early check-in - Thank you!), check-out was a breeze. Communication was prompt and descriptive making this a carefree experience. If I had a complaint, it would be the pollen is heavy in the air that time of year, but certainly no one can control that! My favorite part of
The house are the original floors and the multiple fireplaces. The location is ideal and it was nice to congregate in the living room instead of a hotel lobby. This is really a 5-star property!

The home was lovely with great church bells, walkable to many parks and restaurants. The courtyard was just getting replanted for early spring. Enjoyed the fountains, comfortable beds and ability to sit together after a long day of touring. A few suggestions to accommodate these transitional seasons: have extra blankets, some directions on thermostat setting from chilly to warmth and a few more towels, guest book and laminated details. Felt bad about having to call, but Francise was more than helpful. Took a colorful flier of other places hosted by you for future trips.

It was such a pleasure to stay at this beautiful inn. What a charm !!! Even festive Christmas decorations were placed in home.
Weather wasn’t the best but didn’t take away of the beauty of the neighborhood.
It was a bonus that we were allowed to bring our beloved dog.
This is certainly a must to stay if you are visiting Savannah

This home was everything advertised and more! The history and charm of this well maintained home added so much to our trip to Savannah. The updates to the home’s amenities were spot on, and the host was very responsive to any questions I had. If you want to experience history of this city, along with the modern conveniences….this home is 100% it. This home is so walkable to Forsyth Park, the Basilica and Bay/Broughton street, you are truly in the heart of it all!!

I usually don’t do short term rental reviews because I know the significance of a review on your small business. I have had several short term rental homes (Hawaii and beach towns on southern coast), so I know how owners are beholding to a good review. Because the algorithms are skewed on these sites anything other than 5 stars impacts an owners bottom line. For this owner I did notice that if someone did not rate them at 5 stars they did not take ownership for the potential good suggestions for the owners to improve their business. It was suggested that curtains were not adequate to block city lights. That still is an issue. It is mentioned several times by the 60 plus reviews the stairs and the location of primary baths. However the owners should clearly mention these limitations in several places because not everyone will want to review the 60 plus reviews that the bathrooms are only located on the top level. People mention the heat of the patio courtyard. A few sun brella fabric umbrellas would work wonders and or water misters in the hot Savannah weather would allow guests to enjoy the outdoors. From my perspective these suggestions were all valid and still remain an issue.
Also given the 1853 home the owner has tried to conceal the air quality of the property by having air towers in each room that does not change the air quality. The musty smell knocks you in the face every time you enter the house. Having HEPA air purifiers not just tower fans that circulate the stale

If you are looking for the quintessential historic Savannah experience then look no further. This place is marvelous from the aesthetics both inside and out to the perfect location in the historic district where my family (husband, 20 year old daughter and two teenagers,) fell in love with this beautiful city with our strolls throughout the day and evening. Frances was extremely engaged when we had questions and he has made sure that everything that is needed is accessible. When we come back to Savannah, we will be booking here.

This house provided such a beautiful experience for our first time in Savannah. The home itself is beautiful but the location it’s in makes it even more noteworthy. The beds are all extremely comfortable and the home is spotless. Just a short walk to one of the trolley stops puts you on a tour through all of Savannah’s hot spots, without having to drive! We would love to stay in this space again, thank you Francis for your hospitality!

We stayed here for three nights in February and really enjoyed the home and the location. The off street parking and courtyard are a huge asset. The owners take a lot of pride in this property and it shows. We have stayed at other properties in Savannah and this is the best. The location is good and in a secure area. My wife gets up and walks every morning and never felt insecure or threatened. We hope to stay here again when we return.

We had a fabulous weekend in Savannah! A family wedding brought us to Savannah. We knew a VRBO would be better for our family than a hotel. The location was fabulous. The unit was super clean and comforting. We do wish there was at least a half bath on the main floor, but we made it work. Francis was great to work with!

Our trip was a Mom and daughters birthday trip. We loved the location for being so close to historic squares and top sites. The house is historic but with all the modern comforts. Beds were comfortable. It was a little warm in Savannah but just fine inside. The no parking sign for street sweeping is for real! Thank you for hosting us!

Better to visit in cooler months
If you visit in the summer, be mindful that courtyard (while lovely) will be too hot for hosting a get together. Also AC thermostat had strict instructions to not set below 73 degrees. Downstairs was fine. Upstairs was HOT. Also if sleeping in the two back bedrooms bring eye/sleep masks bc rooms are BRIGHT at night due to street lamps and sheer curtains. The master suite with en-suite bathroom has a small bed — there should be a king bed in that room. Also house is lacking a powder room on first floor so that is awkward. Also tv in kitchen had spotty reception. Overall, house was ok. Nice location.

Me and my family love Savannah. My daughter and I decided to take a quick trip for a few days. We had not visited Savannah in 15 years and I wondered if we could find anywhere decent to stay. We chose this property and loved it. Everything was so clean and very comfortable foran 1853 home. We will visit again for sure.
