The facilities were excellent. They had even provided surf boards and snorkelling gear.
The driveway was too steep. I couldn't park my car in the driveway.

They did great with the little details, like a welcome note with a welcome basket and they made sure every room was stocked with towels and bathroom amenities. They were very quick and responsive to any inquires I had.
There was no A/C, but as long as there is a breeze and open windows, plus lots of room fans, it wasn't an a big issue.

Hale Leilani is truly your "Home Away From Home" This location had a fully stocked kitchen with everything that we needed, and more, to cook throughout our stay. There were also outdoor and beach accessories that we didn't end up borrowing but were available. We deeply regretted not being able to pick any of the fruits (orange, lemon, passionfruit) on-site as none of them were ripe enough for consumption. We also want to give a warm shout out to the homeowners who were kind enough to promptly address the door code issue that we had and then followed up with us to make sure that we were able to enter the property.
Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and truly felt at home. The home was the perfect size for a family of 4 and we would definitely stay here again on our future visits to Hilo.
There is no A/C but we lucked out as Hilo was only hot during the day when we were away. The noise level can be bothersome with the neighbor's dogs and chickens but it tends to cease during the nighttime.

Roosters and frogs at night. It was also hard to turn the fans down.

loved the vibe, the little touches, the decor, the accommodations, how flexible and understanding the owners were, proximity to everything. phenomenal place to stay.
Hard with only one bathroom. maybe an outside restroom would be awesome!

The home was very clean and close to the hospital my 100 year old aunt is at. I would love to return in 2021.
The dining table was not made for elderly short ladies. There is no comfortable chair in the bedrooms. I ate all my meals in the living room on a TV tray. The plastic mattress cover on the back room is not the right fit the sheet keeps getting remove. I love the home it was what we needed.
4.7
The location is great, as long as you have a car. If you are not with small kids, you can get by without a car. The house has everything you need, from kitchenware to Netflix. Not only the owners, but also the gardener, neighbours and their dogs are super nice and friendly. We also enjoyed picking a few oranges every morning.
The toilet was difficult to flush, though we managed. The shower pressure could have been stronger.
