Few night stay for our 24th Anniversary. Suite was an easy walk to all the action in downtown Austin.

Loved staying here for a quick weekend visit to Austin! It was central to a lot of great spots within walking distance, yet it was still far enough away from the action to get some peace and quiet. We loved all of the little critter friends that we got to meet with our stay including Juno, she was a sweety my Husband fell in love with. She'd be outside in the courtyard to welcome us back sometimes. Room was comfortable, the extra AC saved our lives during that muggy heat down there, and the shower was great! We also enjoyed bumping into our hosts! You guys are the nicest! Thank you for having us in your lovely space! Would definitely come and stay again and recommend to other!

Amazing stay in downtown Austin! My best friend and I came in for a fun weekend away and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ted + Janelle’s place. The historic cottage was perfect as a launchpad for our stay and provided more than enough access to the downtown corridor. Not only was the cottage clean, but the accommodations were a great respite from the busy pace of downtown!! We look forward to staying again soon!

We enjoyed our stay at Ted and Janelle’s property. The unit is attached to the main house but there is no access between properties. The unit has its own entrance with its own convenient parking space.
Communications is excellent. We needed to add an additional day and early arrival and we were able to do through the app/text with Ted. A TV issue was quickly addressed by Ted.
The refrigerator is stocked with water and a couple of bottles of the local brew which is a nice touch!

I visited Austin 2 days early before moving to a hotel for a work conference in order to explore the city. Ted's place was perfect for me and the location was great; easy walking distance to the Capitol, downtown and other great neighborhoods. Highly recommend.

Rental is in i great location for walking the city. One day we went around the State Capital and the University of Texas and down to the river. We walked to Austin City Limits for a show.. It was also great to have parking and a back patio to come home to. The accomodation was very comfortable.

SXSW can be an exhausting event with 10 to 13 hour days for 8 days straight. The 8 days flew by staying in this suite. Staying in a hotel just cannot meet travellors needs for this type of travel - this property on the other hand did meet our needs on every level. Excellent hosts. Very attentive. Available at all hours. Easy booking. Cute place as could be. Historic old home - very charming suite we stayed in. The hosts welcomed us with cold local beers in the fridge in our kitchen. The property was quiet. It was a slow easy 21 minutes walk to dead centre 6th street action and 26 minutes slow walk to the Convention Centre for SXSW. The capital is just a few blocks away. There were several great restaurants near by - really liked Phoebes - a 2 block walk away - and 24, another breakfast/lunch place 7 blocks away next to an amazing record store. Awesome food at these. Waltons was good too. There are two coffee shops with 5 minutes walk. I recommend the one near the capital on 12th street. Our hosts had a red book of useful information with every restaurant, area, neighbourhood, you need to know about. It was indispensable. I really liked all the nice old homes in the area, the trees, totally safe, etc. It was nice to escape the non stop party of SXSW vs being trapped in a hotel. Thanks again for a great time!

We enjoyed a memorable 3-day stay at this historic home a few blocks away from the State Capitol. Arrangements were seamless, and Ted, the host, was helpful and full of information. Lots of museums, shops and restaurants within a 10 to 20-min walk.

Walkable to everything and in a very quiet neighborhood. Communication with the host was seamless. Note the steps up/down from kitchen and bathroom into the main space for those that might find this an issue. No thermostat but this was not a problem; we were always perfectly comfortable. There is a ceiling fan and window A/C unit. We would stay here again. Lovely!

We very much enjoyed our stay at your darling historical home. Sweetwater coffee shop was an added bonus right down the street. Would have loved a pillow topper for the bed as it was pretty firm. We had a great stay—thank you!

This place was a perfect spot for weekend getaway in Austin. I traveled solo and the house was a good fit as I didn't need an entire kitchen. The location is perfect for heading out the door and walking Austin. The backyard has beautiful trees to gaze at while sipping on coffee on the patio. The historic home and neighborhood are beautiful. I felt very safe.
I’ll be back .

Beautiful and quiet neighbourhood, yet so conveniently located to the city's entertainment.

We enjoyed the Texas decor & downtown location. Very quiet though. Uber to 6th street is easy & cheap. Was surprised no AC thermostat but we were always comfortable in spite of heat wave. Lots of books! Loved that too. The oaks overhead & birds were a treat.

My wife and I stayed at 11 Oaks and it was wonderful. The location is ideal if you want to walk and explore the city. Most things are in walking distance. We enjoyed the historic aspect of the home and the coziness of it. The place was clean and very accommodating. We will definitely book it again. Hosts were very kind. Courtyard was beautiful too!!!

Quaint and cozy property. Perfect for a little couples getaway. Only complaint is there was cat hair on the bed, but we’re cat owners so it wasn’t too big of a deal. We’d be happy to stay here again!

If you have 2 people looking for a perfect spot to stay while in Austin, this is it! The property is located in a secure spot surrounded by beautiful trees and a courtyard. You wouldn’t even realize that you are in the city. Owners were great to communicate with leading up to my stay. Everything is in walking distance. Can’t wait to come back to this gem.

It was clean and had a great patio space in front. A little further from downtown than I would have liked but we just used uber. There are 2 sets of stairs (only 2 steps each) but I’m a tripper so keep that in mind.

Lovely, quiet, private location near downtown. Very well appointed. Everything was clearly explained. Nice kitchenette with dishes, utensils and extra goodies in refrig. Will certainly return when Austin is our destination!

We liked the property and it was nicely located for our needs. We walked and used the excellent Austin bus service. We felt safe. My only regret is that the lighting inside the unit could be a bit brighter. Otherwise it was an almost 5 star experience.
