This is the best location to expirence the soul of Benaras / Ganges. The access is only via a boat and beats the city crowd. All of the Ghats are very easily approchable by the boat.

A serene place in a bustling environment. The hotel is very clean. The staff ,especially Wasem, were sweet and welcomed me with a scarf as a gift. Chocolates and fruits are presented in your room as well. The location is close to the main gang where the arti ceremony takes place. I just loved my stay.

Location and access. This property is not accessible by car and be prepared to walk at least 20 min through very narrow lanes and by lanes, and finally you have to climb down 80 ft down at the end. I paid 20k INR per night and we are pretty disappointed for the value we got

Breakfast was excellent, lot of variety and people in breakfast area/restaurant were very nice and cooperative. One day we were late and got there for 10.30am when breakfast was over however the manager in there attended to us gladly and was very pleasant. He got us made fresh breakfast that we requested and served us. he was very kind and pleasant. next morning he called into both rooms and requested us to come for breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and staff service.

The location of the hotel was inconvenient for us as we were family of four and had 8 bags luggage. It was not clear from website when i was booking the hotel that we need a boat to get to and from the hotel. The car does not go up to the hotel and so it was very tedious and expensive. we had to coordinate and call hotel 30minutes before the time we need the boat and the car can only come to a certain point at the Ganges. From that point to the boat it is atleast 12-14 minutes walk and that was hard in the heat. Boat ride took also 15 minutes to get to hotel. Each ride we had to pay!!!! this was not included in the hotel booking price. This was very expensive & inconvenient and had i known this fact, i would have chosen a hotel near Ganges that was straight away accessible by car.

Whatever your room lacks in terms of size, the location more than makes up for it. Plan your travel around exploring the Ghats, than staying in your room!

Location was ideal. Very serene and peaceful with gorgeous views of the Ganges river. The hotel maintained it's traditional look without compromising on the amnesties. Rooftop restaurant was beautiful with decent food. Staff was very welcoming and helpful.

Restaurant food was over the top expensive. I guess the prime location has something to do with it.

Guleria Kothi is a gorgeous hotel. The location is superb and the view is incredible as the hotel is perched on the Ram Ghat overlooking the Ganga. Access to the kothi is by boat so that adds to the mystique. The building is from the 1700's and some rooms are lovingly restored with beautiful original materials and highlights. The food is amazing and you can enjoy breakfast seated under a 'chhatri' and watch the misty Ganga.

Sadly, the lower category rooms are quite shabby and need some TLC so make sure you ask for rooms on the 3rd floor.

The hotel ambience was good. it had a medieval look. The rooms were a bit small. The staff were very courteous and prompt to response. The food was good though very limited items. The view of the river ganga from the room is mesmerizing and makes it even more worth staying at this hotel.

The hotel is accessible only by boat and by walk. The walk to the hotel from main road is nearly about half kilometer and takes 15 to 20 min through the narrow lanes of benaras. After dark it becomes bit scary to walk through the lanes.

Location at Ganges river bank is serene. Sunrise can be seen from the property. Staff is helpful. They remain in constant touch prior, during the stay. All details about communications are provided and help to escort till main road via complex lanes and bylanes.

1- only mode to reach this place is by boat or passing through lanes. 2- Boat transportation to guests is expensive and leads to limitations. 3- Be careful with guides, are hand in glove with local pandits, for which Banaras is famous for. 4- Un-lighted staircase to reach the property is dangerous,and you may find yourself in ganges, if slip. 4- Last but not the least, BOOKING.COM wrongly informs you about the size of room in super-built up area and not SUPER DUPER BUILT UP and includes GANGES as largest swimming pool in the world.

Lovely location on the ghat with absolutely amazing food. it is a little but expensive for its services but definitely worth staying in The staff was very polite and helpful and the views of the room were absolutely beautiful! highly recommend it to others

The room service was slow and at one point we were unable to contact anyone. yet they were swift afterwards
