The attached apartment is a brilliant little oasis of peace and quiet. Handily situated in walking distance of New Plymouth township, restaurants,and museum, this simply designed suite provides everything needed for a holiday break. Love it!

We loved our stay at Whare Hita, it's stylish, super comfortable and wonderfully located close to city and coast with a lovely subtropicalish garden. Might be useful for others to know there's no door between the bedroom and lounge, it's essentially one big room.

We loved our stay Whare Hita. The bach is beautifully designed, very comfortable and offers everything you can wish for. The deck is a real treat, offering a great green and sunny outdoor space even for our very early spring trip. The location cannot be better: quiet, so close to the ocean and beach and everything in the city within walking distance. The communication with Rachel was super easy all the way through. In other words: HIGHLY recommended!

Great communication started it all and we loved our stay. Beautiful whare, great location and a pleasure to stay in. Unfortunately the weather wasnt great so we will have to come backbto check out New Plymouth again and if we do we will definitely try to stay here again.

I spent seven weeks in New Plymouth, staying at the lovely Whare Hita--a beautiful and serene accommodation, which facilitates indoor/outdoor living with its wall of glass separating the inside from a large deck and very private garden (which has matured since the site photos were taken). A sanctuary located a short walk from the heart of New Plymouth, and only two blocks from Eastend Beach and the Coastal Walkway. Beautifully designed, and appointed with an extremely comfortable queen-sized bed, an exceptional shower and bathroom, its own washer/dryer, and a fast-heating convection oven and induction stovetop. The hosts are lovely and very responsive. I’ve already booked for my return trip! Out of five stars, I’d give it a six.

Perfect accommodation for a long stay couple. Well equipped and convenient facilities. Ideal location for the coastal walkway for both cycling and walking to the beach or town.

This beautiful apartment is such a peaceful place to return to after a day spent walking nearby tracks. The garden has palm trees swaying gently in the breeze and interior furnishings are comfortable and attractive. Situated within easy reach of city centre, coastal walkway and Mount Taranaki. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Would absolutely recommend staying here. Great location, one street back from the beach and less than 5 minutes to the centre of the CBD in peak hour traffic, felt a safe neighborhood. Delighted with our weekend choice. With the weather being bad, the radiator and heater combination made a big difference! Great quality shower and super comfy bed. Stylish location and property, enhanced by lovely flowers and a few food and drink goodies to get us started. We will be back!

This is such a great little apartment. Super central so it’s a great base for exploring New Plymouth and it’s very close to the beach and the coastal walk, as well as plenty of good restaurants and bars. The apartment is nice and modern and has everything you could need. It was very clean and the extra touches, like the cookies on arrival, made it feel very homely. We found that it was really great value and would have loved to have stayed for longer.

This property is absolutely superb. Perfect location and has everything you need. Highly recommended.
