All was good

very convenient with the parking spot, and the walk to the center is very pleasant ( around 35-40min). the bed was quite confortable and the owner of the property is such a kind person, very warm and welcoming.

The bed is comfortable.

The smell. The place is permeated by tobacco. The man living there is friendly, but is a heavy smoker. There is a smell of cigarette and/or cigar smoke, but there is also the smell of stale tobacco inside the walls. Kind of like sleeping in an ashtray. The contrast between the building outside (very clean, smells fresh) and the inside of the apartment (ashtray + remnant of garbage can) is striking. The place is noisy. There is a larhe scale construction going on outside and there is a drummer/singer upstairs. WiFi signak is weak to non existent. Bottom line, and to reiterate, the guy who lives there ia friendly, but Booking.com made the experience worse. When we reached out to explain the situation (tobacco stench) , the rep demanded we take pictures. We tried to explain that the issue was with the stench, but he stubbornly stuck to his script. Provide pics, or get lost. The description of the site is misleading and frankly dishonest. There is a picture of a bed, but not of the other rooms, where the guy lives and smokes. Also, understand that the room is actually the guy's room and so you will be sleeping in his bed and the closets and bedside tables have his clothes and (very) personal effects. The booking.com response was terribly disappointing.
