The host Susanne is lovely and welcoming with great communication. The property is tidy inside, however is quite a lot more dated than the listing pictures and quiet basic. It's also better suited to groups of traveling friends rather than families. It's location is nice, and quiet. I would say satisfactory for the price.

First the good stuff, it's a nice location, in a quiet neighborhood, grocery store right around the corner with easy access to public transport right near Nympemburg castle. This apartment is dated but in working order, the kitchen area is well stocked and rooms are clean.
However the bathroom is bad. The shower is very small and the toilet is an older German-style toilet with a "poop deck" that no matter how much you try to clean has a bad odor. I gagged when cleaning it. There was an "air freshener" that made the whole place smell like a port-o-potty.
The Wifi for the property also does not work. I tried to contact the owner before and after arriving but she claimed that "atmospheric pressure" was the cause of it being unreliable. She also claimed that she described the wireless as unreliable in the listing which is not true. There are also no bug screens on the windows, which seems to be the norm, so you get a lot of mosquitos. Since there is no A/C you don't have a choice.
The best description would be it feels like going to a youth hostel. If they updated the toilet and fixed the Wifi it would make the place a lot better. These are both reasonably affordable corrections that would be a big difference.

Suzanne was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were very nice and clean. My husband, my two sons and I had a wonderful stay there it was a great location.

This cozy, clean, and comfortable two room apartment (connected to a larger residence) worked great for our family of five while in Munich. Susanne has nicely furnished the two rooms, one in a green color and one in yellow. Each room has a kitchen setup including refrigerator. Close by is a coffee shop and Rewe grocery store in a quiet Nymphenburg neighborhood. Only down side was the internet was not working.

Nice peaceful stay in a rustic apartment

This apartment was just right for our 4 nights in Munich. We are 2 couples and the rooms are set up for privacy, with the doors open you can visit between rooms. Suzanne was wonderful to work with, making sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. We would stay here again.

Convenient location
Space is nice overall.Bathroom feels uncomfortable to us (tight shower stall & curtain).
Obvious spiders & spiderwebs above bed.
Kitchen is minimal
Communication was easy.

Fully equipped, everything double (in every room), a front garden full of herbs and cosy flowers, you could have breakfast and a drink in the garden, there was always a shady spot. The house was good to cool with the shutters, although there is no air conditioning. A quiet street, car always close to the house. Shops around the corner. Interested hosts, always willing to think along. Lots of pans, only two hotplates. Do not expect a modern bungalow, but a cosy and colourful accomodation.

Nice place to stay, very clean, very easy going, great location, I can highly recommend it

I can recommend this accomodation, compared to others the price is good. Checking in and out was pretty easy, but you can see it is a very old house, so quite loud (you can hear the water pipes when used, the heating also the very less traffic when there are cars as the windows are also very old). If you are not sensitive to noises or at some parts dirt, you will enjoy the stay. Very useful also the kitchen and free parking.
4.5
A very good deal (inexpensive) but you get what you pay for. The bathroom very easily floods and also smells like sewage. Way too small for 4 adults and a bit outside of the city. The host (Michel) also came into our unit without letting us know while we were out and left weird messages on cardboard instead of just messaging us on the VRBO app. He did let us drop our bags off before checking in though which was nice.

My family enjoyed staying at Susanne’s!!! It was our home base for wonderful adventures to Neuschwanstein, Rothenburg and the Marienplatz!!! It was so nice to have a grocery store and coffee shop just 3 minutes walk…3 blocks😉. The only minor issue we had was the shower.
4.5
It was the ideal wee place for us. Far enough away from the city, bur not too far.
The check in was unusual as Susanne met us and gave a wee tour of the house and gave us some do’s and do nots. I’ve previously had a key press and an instruction manual. The rooms are spacious and they were clean. The bathroom was very small and the shower had a curtain, so it was a little cramped trying to shower and avoid getting water all over the floor.
The location is ideal for commuting and it’s a two minute walk to the tram stop.

Susanne’s flat near Nymphenburg Palace was a great place for our family of 5. Everything was very clean and very well stocked and organized, making it enjoyable and convenient to eat and relax between excursions in Munich. Susanne was very kind and helpful, giving us great suggestions for morning pastries and groceries just a couple blocks away, as well as a delicious Greek restaurant a short walk from the flat. It was also conveniently located to the tram and in a lovely neighborhood.

Apartment was as described--2 bedrooms each with kitchenettes and a shared bathroom. One bed has a trundle so it can sleep 5. Kitchenette had everything you could need to cook. Bathroom shower was tiny--nothing unusual in Europe, but extra hard to keep water from going everywhere.
Location was in a quiet neighborhood a few minutes walk from a bus and tram stop so if you're comfortable with public transportation you can get anywhere. A grocery store was nearby but limited restaurant options within a quick walk. Host was friendly and offered fresh tomatoes from her garden.

Great stay near the Nymphenburg Palace in the quiet residential area!
We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids 7 and 15 y.o. . And we really enjoyed our stay at Susanne’s apartment. She is an amazing host, very hospitable and friendly. And very interesting person to talk with! Dear Susanne and Michael, thank you again for your warm welcome! And Sonya is so grateful for Michael’s music lesson! We had an unforgettable stay!
The apartment is situated in a very good, respectable area- charming, quiet and safe, close to the center (good transport connection by tram 17, also buses to S-Bahn and U-bahn, to Olympic park), with a supermarket, good restaurants and beautiful Nymphenburg Palace with a big park. We can recommend Poseidon restaurant and Schlosswirtschaft Schwaige cafe with its Michelin menu.
The apartment has enough space and furniture for 4 people, has a well-equipped kitchen corner in every room and a small bathroom with a shower. Please note that in winter it is quite cool inside, take your sleeping suits with you! It wasn’t a problem for us, we enjoyed our stay in Munich and hope to come back soon!

Susanne was a lovely host and her apartment suited our needs perfectly. Many thanks to her for a wonderful stay and seamless check in process.

European/Oktoberfest getaway with our small kids
We had a great stay here. The apartment was a good set up for my husband, me and our two young children (2 and 6). The neighborhood was lovely with a cafe/bakery, grocery store and delicious Greek restaurant nearby. Public transportation was also easily accessible. Our host was wonderful. Great communication and helpful recommendations. Also, beautiful Nymphenburg palace is only a 10 minute walk away.

Great Place To Stay Off The Beaten Path
Susanne was a lovely host. She met us at the door and let us in and showed us the apartment. We were only there for a few nights during the Wiesen (octoberfest) so the rest of the city was very packed and crowded. But this apartment was away from the city center and near the beautiful Nymphenburg palace. It is accessible to public transit and cabs. The apartment is nice and cozy but we only really stayed there to sleep after adventuring around town.
The apartment is attached to Susanne's house and attached to a small piano repair shop run by Michael who graciously played a few songs for us as we were leaving.
Very nice place to stay if you are looking for something in a more residential area.

Nymphenberg nest!
Wonderful stay at this apartment. Fantastic location with market, bakery and great restaurant. Stroll Nymphenberg multiple times - almost at your doorstep. Susanne was a gracious and accommodating host.

We’ve just had a wonderful week in Munich! Three adults were accommodated very comfortably in Susanne’s apartment. The location could not be any better, quiet neighborhood, very green, public transportation is just a few minutes away, as well as grocery store and bakery. The apartment has everything you‘ll need to rest after a day of sightseeing. Kitchenettes are very well equipped, so you can have breakfast and simple dinner. Yes, the bathroom is small, as you can see it on the pictures, but totally functional, it worked for us just fine. The owner is very friendly and eager to help with any questions.I would stay there again in a heartbeat! Thank you, Susanne! We’ve had a very pleasant time at your place!

ZONA TRANQUILLA E PROPRIETARIA MOLTO DISPONIBILE

Simple but sound
This is simple accomodation, but has everything a traveller needs. The only let down is the small bathroom, but it is all functional, and did everything we needed for a family of four. The location was easy to navigate, with a supermarket nearby and quick access to tram and buses. R

Relaxing vacation in Nymphenburg
We are a family of 5 (3 kids 17, 17 and 14) and we really enjoyed our vacation in Munich and our staying in relaxing Nymphenburg.
The apartment is really cute, well equipped, coloured and as cheerful as Mrs Lang who was a helpful, welcoming, available and discreet host.and a very interesting companion for after dinner chats, if you feel like to.
The neighbourhood is peaceful and ..green and the location really close to number 17 tram stop which -every fifteen minutes- gets you downtown in a few minutes. Besides, just across the road there is the magnificent Schloss Nymphenburg. Nearby you have a bakery, a supermarket, a chemistry..anything you need and a lovely Greek restaurant (Taverna Kymata).

Bathroom Problems
The location is great and the basics are there, but the bathroom is a real issue. Susanne pointed out the drainage problem with the shower and asked us to wipe the floor if it overflowed. Well it overflowed whenever anyone took a shower and the rag she provided to wipe the floor was filthy. After one day the bathroom smelled terribly. Perhaps this was due to the extremely hot weather but it was hard to tell.
To give her credit Susanne has purchased fans for both bedrooms to help some with the weather and she was a gracious and helpful host, but that bathroom needs to be addressed before I would stay here again.

Friendly, comfortable, and convenient
We stayed as a family of four (parents, two kids under 14) and found the apartment perfect for our needs, with a bed for everyone and just enough of a kitchen to prepare breakfast or a simple meal. The center of Munich was an easy tram ride away, the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and Susanne was incredibly welcoming and helpful. We stayed in several apartments on this trip, but everyone agreed this was our favorite.

Value driven rental - family of 5 including three teenagers
I rounded up to three stars because of the value of the rental. Renting in Munich is not cheap and the location is awesome - just a five minute walk to the Number 17 tram which takes you easily into the city. We ran to the Nymphenburg Palace grounds and through their gardens which was a great day of exercise. We also went to the Augustine Keller biergarten, on the Number 17 tram line which was a nice respite from the biergartens in the center of town. There is a man who runs a piano repair facility in the garage, Michael, and we thoroughly enjoyed our conversation with him. Susanne was responsive prior to our arrival. She also told us where the bakery and stores were as well as a laundromat after we arrived. The accommodations are simple and basic. There is sleeping for 5 people, though it felt too small. You were either sitting at the table or laying on the bed as there is no other furniture to relax in or on. It was not possible to cook for 5 people in the kitchen and with the sleeping arrangements in the same area of the kitchen and a few bugs near the kitchen area, we decided to eat out every day. Susanne requested that we wipe the bathroom floor with a rag if water runs over the short shower lip because it seeps into her basement and she also asked us to water the small flowers outside the front door. There is an excellent Greek restaurant nearby, Naxos Taverna, which is a reasonable walk or a short drive away. The free wifi was available until the last night when it was spotty.

Comfortable rooms near shops and tram
We were comfortable in these two rooms for our family of five, and it was close to local shops with a grocery store and pharmacy. It was nice to be in a suburb which felt like authentic Munich living and it was easy to get the tram into town. We could walk to the Nymphenburg Palace and also to the Hirschgarten restaurant for some real Bavarian fare. Thank you to the owner for sending on a book we left behind.

Wonderful home away from home!
We spent a full week in this loveky apartment in a beautiful residential neighborhood on the outskirts of Munich. Just four short blocks from a tram stop, we were able to get anywhere quickly and efficiently! Munich public transit is great. A nearby attraction is Nyphenburg Palace and two of our favorite eateries, a yummy bakery and a great beer garden restaurant were nearby. We loved the sleeping accommodations and the charm of the little studio bedrooms--all we needed for fixing a breakfast or making a snack. The bathroom was not exactly what we were used to, but it worked just fine for us. In short, the place was really great. The best part of staying here was having a neat grocery store and a fun little tavern nearby and, most importantly, a landlady who became a friend. Her helpful attention to detail was fabulous and she was a tour director extraordinaire! She could answer any of our questions about where to go and what to see, how to get there, etc. She even made us some dishes to try. In short, she made our trip to Munich the highlight of three weeks in Europe. Our children--all in their 20s--loved her and loved her flat, too. After a long day of sightseeing or heading out on a day trip, coming back to the apartment was a welcoming spot. We will always think fondly of our time with Suzanne.

Fantastic accommodations for Octoberfest.
A group of us five men stayed here for Octoberfest. We were extremely pleased with the location and its proximity to the festival. Susanne was a treat to coordinate and help with making our trip memorable. Susanne was so kind to familiarize us with nearby conveniences. The pictures on the website are accurate and useful when selecting this location over the others. We enjoyed the Nymphenburg Palace a couple short minutes walk from the apartment. The apartment was ideal for 5 guys to share. We mostly liked the individual beds. The only minor complaint was the wifi was temperamental but we were not there in Munich to be on the wifi. Thank you Susanne for making our annual trip so successful and we look forward to seeing you again.

Family Vacation
We stayed here with our three children in early August. The area and flat were perfect for the trip we had planned. The entire flat was neat and clean-- it looks exactly like the pictures that are provided. The garden was a nice quiet place to sit at the end of the day. The supermarket and tram stop are a very short (2 min.) and safe walk even with children. The neighborhood is a quiet residential area with on street parking. No problems with booking or anything it went very smoothly. The free wifi was also nice it did only work in the one room, but that was not an issue for us.

Wonderful Stay!
We really enjoyed our stay with Susanne. The rooms were charming, quiet and clean. There are 2 bedrooms, one decorated in green, one in yellow, each with their own kitchette. There is a shared bathroom between the rooms. This made it very comfortable for my husband and I, and my mom, as we stayed in Munich for 3 nights. Easy access to downtown Munich via the tram ( one block away) while leaving our car parked at the apartment made sight-seeing a breeze! Being able to hop off the tram on our way home to visit the Augustiner Keller on our last night in Munich was a lot of fun. The short walk to the Nymphenburg Palace was a delightful bonus. Susanne was very helpful and easy to talk too. SInce we were arriving late on a Saturday night after the shops closed, she had offered to purchase a few supplies for us for breakfast and her choices were delicious. My only caveat is that the wireless signal is weak and only accessible from the green bedroom, but it is free and it is there! It was fun for us to stay in a neighborhood and not downtown in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. I would definitely recommend this apartment for travelers visiting Munich.

Thumbs up
Stayed here during Oktober fest. It made otherwise obscene accommodation cost during Oktober fest stomach-able.
Susanne gave us directions to a nearby shopping strip. The shopping strip had a small supermarket, green grocer, bakery and chemist. This was very handy.
Get there by the 17 tram which is located immediately north of the main station. Get off at Dall'Amistrasse or the stop after. Only took 15 minutes, so the travel time to the city is very reasonable. Definitely a quiet neighbourhood despite its proximity to the city.

Don't miss this gem in a beautiful Munich suburb
We spent a wonderful week in this 2 bedroom flat on a quiet street in a lovely suburb of Munich with our 2 small children. Our hostess was very friendly and full of helpful information. The apartment was clean and tidy with plenty of room for the kids to play, for us to cook and eat meals and to just hang out after a long day of sightseeing.
Within short walking distance we found a grocery store, tram stop, a few very good restaurants, a bakery and a pharmacy. We could also walk easily to beautiful Nymphenburg Castle and the botanic garden. A short ride on the tram brought us into the center of Munich.
Altogether this property affords a great mix of amenities set in a quiet location with easy access to all the delights of Munich.
