Check in was easy. Owners were super easy to work with. Horses were visible through almost every window in the place at some point in the day or another. We ate on the back deck a couple times and the horses were just a dozen feet away. The kids, wife and I all really enjoyed ourselves. Feels very secluded yet you’re not far from Greensboro proper and the Interstate.

Beautiful clean property. Love watching the horses as we sipped our coffee in the morning. Host was friendly attentive and polite. Would definitely recommend to anyone who’s staying in the area.

House is clean, with comfortable beds, couches and nice dining table with plenty of room inside and in yard. Horses were nice to see our the windows. Cat was friendly and host was attentive. Location convenient.

Clean, quiet and comfortable. Owl’s Nest is well supplied with comfortable beds and updated everything. Easy check in and out. I travel to the area 2 to 3 times a year and would definitely stay again if available.

This was my second stay in two months at the “Owl’s Nest”, and the next time I’m in the area I will definitely stay there again if it’s available. I’m not sure there is anything more I can say!

The property was absolutely stunning. I was looking for a place that felt a little bit rustic, cozy, and peaceful and this was absolutely the perfect place. So close to everything and convenient to Greensboro, but tucked away from it all. The horses walking right outside the windows were spectacular to watch. For me having the host on the property was perfect and the house itself was super comfortable and stocked with everything we needed for our stay.

We recently stayed at this home while celebrating our daughter's graduation from Elon. It was about a 20-minute drive to campus. The house was clean, the beds comfortable and we could enjoy watching the horses in the mornings and evenings.

It was a perfect place for our family of 4. Our boys loved seeing the horses daily and getting to interact with them too. Gwen and Dale were fabulous! We hope to stay here again if our travels take us this way.

This was our 2nd stay at the Owl's Nest and we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else while visiting Greensboro. The house has all the comforts of home and none of the inconvenience of a hotel stay. The house is very clean and comfortable, the property is very quiet and totally picturesque. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, hidden, quiet horse farm, easily accessible by car to Greensboro, High Point, Whitsett and Burlington. Horses right outside our back window was a spectacular plus. Inside was warm and welcoming and access to the house was a cinch.

For those who want to get away that is simple & peaceful, this may be fitting! Gwyn & Dale are responsive and kind hosts! It is fun to see their beautiful horses from the back windows! Beds are comfortable.
We bought a Febreze plug-in b/c it smelled musty which might not affect others. Check the fridge temp.- it was at the warmest setting which can be easily adjusted. (Food/milk didn't seem too cold before adjusting.) If you prefer soft toilet paper, you may want to bring your own. There was not 1 full roll-several rolls left from what others didn't use. These little things may not bother others especially if you enjoy camping. Enjoy!

This little house was the perfect size for our family of 4 to sleep and relax. We spent most of our time nearby with family for Thanksgiving, but needed a place to shower, sleep, etc. when we weren't at their house. This little home was the perfect size, very clean, and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

I was totally relaxed and felt at home with the hosts . The horses are so close to the rear deck and I enjoyed them every morning and evening.

I love this place. I feel so at peace and enjoy the scenic view of pastures and horses. The host are wonderful and if there are any problems they are quick to fix. I hope I get to come again. It made my work trip easy and felt like home. Thanks so much!

I fell in love with this place starting with the drive in! So quiet and peaceful! Close to my job and provided great scenery with the horses in the surrounding pastures! I will stay there again no doubt!! Dale and Gwen are great hosts! Loved it!

Wow, what a fantastic stay! My husband and I were in town to visit family, but I'm tempted to come back to this property and not tell anyone we're close by so we can just stay here and relax. Gwen is such a sweet lady, and she was so helpful and quick to respond to messages. We loved meeting the horses, especially since you can see them when you look out of any window in the house. We didn't try the tv, so I can't say if it was user-friendly or not. Plenty of hot water, wifi was good, quiet location, we had a great time.

Great place to keep it safe, simple and quiet. We stayed for four nights and relaxing between running into and out of town for the Junior Olympics. My kids are pole vaulters and we carry vaulting poles which can be a deal killer at hotels. The property manager Mr. Dale and Mrs. Gwen were amazing and over the top kind. When we head back up to Greensboro, N.C. We will definitely be booking with them.

The house was perfect for are needs. Have coffee in the morning with the horses was a great way to start the day. The only thing that I would change or add are plug-in’s.

Lovely hideaway stay
Lovely setting on a small horse farm with friendly hosts! We enjoyed the shady setting, country feeling, watching the horses, and appreciated the clean well appointed cottage. Our main purpose for visiting Greensboro is to see our relative who lives in a nursing home. We always try to find a place that is wheelchair accessible so we can bring him out to enjoy some nature. The Owls Nest worked well for this with easy access to the back deck and into the home through the 32” back door. We highly recommend the Owl’s Nest and plan to return!

Quiet spot to relax after graduation!
We loved the peaceful cottage, surrounded by fields and horses. It was a busy weekend with graduation events- but the house was just 20 mins from Elon and close to Greensboro to explore all the cool restaurants and breweries. House was exactly as described, clean and very comfortable.

Amazing getaway in Greensboro
The Owl's Nest was exactly as advertised. This sweet cottage looks exactly like the photos. Clean, fresh, and so comfy - it provided just the respite we needed after some long days of competition at the Coliseum. We loved the proximity to the Coliseum in Greensboro, while still having the feel of a quiet stay on the farm. Dale and Gwyn were great at communicating with us. We knew exactly what to expect and had all the details we needed to make our stay comfortable. Even though we didn't have time for any up close experiences with the horses, the kids loved seeing the horses from a distance. Truly a special getaway!

Lovely Getaway
Owls Nest was a perfect spot to get away with my best friend. It was easy to find, and very close to the highway, so just a few miles from shopping and restaurants.
The house was cozy and clean, and had everything we needed. Outside was peaceful and quiet, and the horses were a beautiful bonus. Loved staying here, and would absolutely book Owls Nest again!

Comfortable Cottage in Rural Area
We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at the Owl's Nest cottage. It was very clean (no musty odors). Beds were very comfortable - nicely firm (no morning backaches). Kitchen was reasonably well equipped, but we really weren't there to do any cooking. Entry keypad worked well. Enjoyed watching the horses from the back deck. We felt very safe and it was reassuring to know that the landlords lived right there on the same property. They communicated with us well. TV was limited, but there was a CD player for watching movies. Lots of hot water for showers. Would definitely rent again if we are ever in the area.
