Civano Home Near Saguaro National Park
Bienvenido a casa en Creosote Ridge Way. Casa de diseño semi-custom Civano de 3 habitaciones y 2 baños con vistas espectaculares de Patano Wash y las montañas Rincon. Very nice 3 bedroom with plenty of space both inside and outdoors. You can sit outside in the sun morning and afternoon. Fire pit and grill. Everything very clean and well stocked for cooking and eating. Nice location and quiet.

This is a beautiful property. The home is beautiful, quiet, so comfortable, in a great community, and Shelly was a delight. Our experience was beyond any of our expectations! Only wish we could have stayed longer than 9 days! Would definitely stay here again. No question!

Nice Tucson housing development
The home was perfect for our group. We liked how the master bedroom was private from the rest of the house. We greatly enjoyed the outside spaces to relax with very comfortable furniture. The home was very clean, beds super comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked for all cooking needs. We enjoyed grilling outside and watching the pretty birds attracted to the property. Despite the warm outdoor temperatures, the house stayed nice and cool. We also enjoyed playing pickle all and swimming in the community pool.
When booking this house we were surprised that there was no cancellation refund allowed and at final checkout we were required to purchase insurance or provide the owners a multi thousand dollar damage deposit. We have rented many properties through VRBO and these restrictions have never applied.
Also, the backyard outdoor space is shared with another separate VRBO and we found our neighboring guests conversations loud and disruptive of our private happy hour time. We also added a guest at the last minute (the house is advertised as accepting 6 guests) and instead of welcoming this guest we were told by Andy that he would notify his wife and she would bill us for an additional guest. We found this interaction abrasive and feel it could have been handled in a more respectful way. Overall we had a wonderful stay and recommend this VRBO to future guests.

Just lovely
We have stayed in Civano several times at Shelly and Andy's properties. They are always beautiful, immaculate, and well-maintained. This visit, the frig died just before we came. Andy had a new frig waiting for us and personally stopped back to drain the ice maker so we wouldn't have to bother. Andy and Shelly both stopped by several times to be sure everything was A-OK (as it was).

Beautiful and Comfortable
The photos don't really do this place justice. There are so many really lovely details in the house including some very beautiful glassworks. The home was really comfortable, the neighborhood was great to walk around in and the host was gracious and helpful. I'd definitely recommend it!

We had an enjoyable time at Civano
This is a great property that is just as nice as the VRBO photos depict. The owners, Shelly and Andy, are perhaps the nicest and easiest to work with owners we have ever experienced. I cannot think of one flaw with the property. The house and surroundings are extremely well decorated. The kitchen was top notch. The master bedroom and bathroom was extremely good. The living/dining room is spacious and well decorated. The internet was sound. And, plenty of tvs to go around. If the VRBO photos and descriptions interest you, don't hesistate to book this property.

Lovely neighborhood
We had a great time in the house and loved the neighborhood, which is great for walking or visiting the hiking trails in Saguaro National Park and Sabino Canyon. Shelly was very helpful and it was nice to have a basket of food and wine on the counter when we arrived and some food in the refrigerator after a day of travel.

Beautiful family wedding
We gathered here for our 4th child's wedding at Saguaro Butte's. It was beautiful. Lot's of individual areas for people to visit. comfortable beds, nice linens. Decorated beautifully. I did put a lot of breakables away in the Master closet because I have an active 2 yr old grandson. Shelly and Andy were very supportive of this, no problem. Casita on property is also adorable. (we rented that, too) Everything is very well done, clean and in working order. Wifi worked great. Lots of smart TVs, tho' we didn't really use them. Would love to stay there again when I have more time to roam the neighborhood.

Fantastic house and back yard
This is a perfect home for a larger group. We rented the Casita as well and really enjoyed the outdoor space and fire pit in the evenings.

All that, and more!
This gorgeous and well-appointed home was all as described in the posting. What we didn’t expect but were delighted to enjoy were the monarch butterflies, quail, hummingbirds and more in the garden and views of the night sky that didn’t quit! We would definitely consider staying here again. Incredibly relaxing place to use as home base during our visit to Arizona. The hosts were attentive and responsive but not intrusive. Vacation/Granddaughter Graduation
We can not think Shelly & Andy enough! Their property was absolutely beautiful! The location in Civano is magical, all the surrounding homes, the morning sunrise, the evening sunsets, the view of the mountains all spectacular. The location of their property is close enough to access all the Tucson and surrounding area and sites easily with minimal driving.The property was spotless when we checked in, Andy & Shelly answered all of our questions, and made sure that if we needed anything they would take care of us. We will be coming back and staying at this property, very soon. Andy & Shelly went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, enjoyable, wonderful! Thank you both, we will be back!

Had a fantastic stay at a first class home.
When we arrived, there was a guest package with snacks and good stuff! The owner was very friendly and helpful. The house was way above average in accommodations. We would not hesitate renting this home again. The wildlife and view was spectacular. Definitely #1!!!

Civano Getaway
What a wonderful place! From the moment we walked in, we loved this house!
It was comfortable, stocked for us with all the necessities! Shelly and Andy are terrific hosts, and they took great care of us while we were there.
Civano is a great location for exploring the Tucson area, and the neighborhood was delightful.

Girls' Get-Away
What a great home for an all girls' get-away! We had the house and the casita for the month of February 2019. We each had our own room but loved the common areas. The patio was great for relaxing, bird watching and, in the evening, using the BBQ and the Fire Pit. The Civano complex has wonderful little pathways to wander and make your way around.
I can't say enough about the owners: Shelly and Andy were fabulous hosts - the best we've ever had and we've been taking these winter vacations for 6 years. They made us feel like a part of the community. The location is ideal if you like to hike. You're close to Saguaro East but Madera Canyon is a reasonable drive as are Saguaro West and Sabino Canyon.

This Civano home is a luxurious home away from home.
Shelly and Alan are fabulous hosts who go the extra mile to make their home inviting. Their welcome upon our arrival included a pleasantly stocked kitchen for our first day in Tucson. Shelly didn’t hesitate to add a Sports channel for bowl games on New Years day or a down comforter in anticipation of the wintery weather advisory. While we initially came to Tucson seeking warmer weather during our holiday vacation, the warmth of Shelly & Alan’s home and hospitality well made up for the unseasonably cold weather and snow outside. The views from their home are breathtaking, and the snow only added to the charm. I would recommend their home to anyone wishing to get away and relax. We would definitely enjoy a return trip.

Beautiful home, nothing lacking!
We loved every minute of our stay in this home. We were visiting family in Tucson the week before Christmas and decided on a vacation rental over a hotel to make our stay more comfortable. The home was impeccably clean, the bedding and towels are luxurious, the kitchen is well equipped and the outdoor areas are as inviting as the inside. The owners of this home are some of the kindest and most helpful we have ever rented from and we cannot wait to return.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Carlson's splendid home. They are very hospitable and go the extra mile to make your stay a pleasant one. We booked their home due to the proximity to the Saguaro National Park. We stayed at their home for the last few weeks of January and found the weather perfect. The views of the hills and surroundings are wonderful, especially at sunrise. The hosts are close by and are there for you for any question. Civano is a quiet neighborhood with many hiking trails close by. The development has swimming pools and tennis/pickleball courts close by. The unit itself has everything you would require for your stay. We would highly recommend this home for a couple, family or group as it has 3 separate bedrooms.

This property in Civano was perfect! Shelly was a wonderful host who greeted us happily even though our arrival was very late. This quiet home was very roomy for our family of four. The décor - beautiful! Shelly had everything we needed to make our stay complete. Very convenient pool and coffee house located within walking distance. We can't wait to go back!

I always look forward to the Tour de France bicycle race each July, particularly the mountain stages. Each mountain is given a classification from 4 being the easiest to 1 being the most difficult...and then there are those amazingly tough mountains which are given the classification of “hors categorie” (HC), meaning “beyond category”. “Beyond Category” is how our group feels about Shelly, Andy, and this property. We would give more stars in our rating if we could!
This Civano Charmer is special. It is classy and comfortable. Every detail has been well thought out and tended to...Shelly and Andy have a gift.
The Civano neighborhood was also a pleasant surprise. We loved both morning and evening walks around the neighborhood as well as the cute trick-or-treaters who came to the door on Halloween. It is a warm and friendly place.

This home is fabulous and Civano is a great place. It is a special area developed originally by the Arizona Solar Village Corporation to counter urban sprawl and provide a cohesive community that considers the environment, preserves the Sonoran Desert plants in its development, and encourages a healthy lifestyle. This home is on the outer edge of the community on about a third of an acre, so you can enjoy the quiet beauty of the desert and the mountains, as well as the fabulous night sky. Shelly and Andy are amazing hosts. The home is beautifully appointed and yet is very comfortable and easy to stay in; basically it’s great for cooking, eating and conversation in a very calming space. The bedrooms are fabulous. Coffee in the morning with the sun coming up was a perfect way to start the day. Listening to music, reading, photographing and making art throughout the day and evening was what we hoped for and what we did. For siteseeing, there are fabulous art centers, the Saguaro National Parks, East and West, the Sonoran Desert Museum, among many other attractions. The Pima Air and Space Museum is a must, as is the Mission San Xavier del Bac. Shelly provided great information on what do and terrific places to eat. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Shelly and Andy from the moment we arranged our stay to our arrival (our plane was very late and they offered to make us dinner!), and finally our departure. This was the best vacation. Endless thanks to our hosts for making it so.

We had an amazing stay in this house. The décor inside and outside is incredible! We loved the outside seating areas and took advantage of all of them at different times during the day and night, so we could enjoy both the mountain views and the neighborhood view. It's obvious that Shelly has put a lot of love into every detail of the house, and she is a very attentive and thoughtful host who provides special touches for her guests throughout the house (including a ton of snacks, breakfast foods, wine, water - but also area maps, a fully supplied kitchen, wonderful toiletries, cleaning products, and laundry detergent), as well as always being available for any questions and happy to talk about things to do in the area.
Several houses that we have stayed in feel like an empty house that someone has thrown some furniture in - staying in this house felt like housesitting for a fabulous friend (even decorated for the season)! We had a great time in Tucson, but are most looking forward to our next visit just to stay in this house again!!
