We liked that the house had everything we needed, bedding, towels, comfortable beds, wifi, washing machine and dryer, comfortable living room, rhat we were able to park our vehicles in the garage. Also, that there was a lock on the door rather than having to fiddle around with a key 😊

This is a sweet home for our group of 6ppl. It’s better than pictured. It was clean and spacious and was located in a quiet residential neighborhood. There was a good parking spot in the driveway for our rental. We only stayed one night so didn’t explore the area too much.

The kitchen equipment was not the best. I guess you expect cheap implements in rentals but I believe if you supply better things, guests will treat them with respect.

outdoor areas

There was no AC but there were a couple of oscillating fans. We didn’t realize it was a two story. That was OK for us but could be a problem for folks with mobility issues. Loved the washer/dryer.

The house was very comfortable and cozy. Perfect for our small group of 4. Easy to access and only a few minutes drive to the city centre

There was very little sugar available for tea and coffee, not enough for our 3 night stay. The pots and pans were dirty and we did not want to use them. The BBQ was extremely dirty and unusable.

Bit of an issue getting in. We didn’t have a code or keys to get in and had to call the host who was on voicemail so called Bookin.com customer services (who were excellent). The host did return our call and we got in. She said all the info was on an email but arriving straight from the plane we had no email until we got in. Better if the instructions were mailed sooner….

Whoops, sorry. See above. Also, the cleanliness was a bit lacking in places. But, overall it was a good place to stay and very central. NB. A very good Thai round the corner. 😀

unchanged pillow case and bed sheet for one single bed , looks aweful and facility is poor. no shampoo and body wash provided, kitchen is dirty.

great size property with two outdoor areas and well suited to our group of five with plenty of bedding , excellent bathrooms - parking was a bonus, kitchen was perfect and great access to town.

No real issues at all - front door lock is a little bit of learning curve but apart from that a great stay.

This was our favourite accommodation of our South Island trip. The house was spacious, warm and the location was great, but what made it stand out from the other accommodations was the extra touches that made it feel more like a home than a holiday rental. There was a few extra condiments and things in the pantry. There were cushions, throws, etc. Also much appreciated the walk in closet off the master and the wall-to-wall vanity so we could unpack and have our stuff to hand rather than constantly digging into suitcases and toilet bags. The garage was another bonus. The owners were lovely, messaging us to confirm that all was well etc.
