On the beach.

We booked an Independent bunglow and we were not provided with it, staff told us the bunglows are occupied and gave another room which was of less price. AC does not work during the day. Food does not have any taste, no salt-no spice. Room alloted to us was similar to a godown.

Water pressure was strong, good hot water. Obviously the location is excellent, in the middle of Patnem Beach, steps from the water. Staff was helpful enough, particularly after we lost the miniscule room key on the beach.

Definitely not "Deluxe"! False advertising, didn't get what we booked, promises were not fulfilled. Originally it seemed like they couldn't find our booking, and we were herded into a little-used back shack. We specifically booked a room for two big guys, with two double beds, but this didn't materialise. Manager promised to set up two beds, that never happened - apparently because we were out all day. Only one pillow. Bathroom broken - hose not working. No soap. While driving south to Patnem, I sent a message confirming the double beds, and asking about parking. Odd reply from manager, misspelled: that we should "Cancel booking". Our particular room was a complete rip off - 3-4x the price for such a room elsewhere. By comparison, later we found a great poolside room at a nearby 3-star resort that included breakfast - for the same price.

The blankets were so thin, not cozy at all. and it becomes very cold early morning. Needs to provide good set of blankets.

Had to walk through the sand with suitcase to reach the beach shack. no help received. everything in the room was dirty. the owner spoke no English. payment by cash or google pay only, he did not have a card machine. He provided no bill but just a handwritten piece of paper. Totally overcharged. I paid INR 8000 even for New Year it was overcharged. no service was provided, not even hot water in the room. the entire room and bathroom was a makeshift.
