Beautiful ocean views out both sides of the unit. No need for air conditioning with the trade winds blowing. Kitchen was stocked with everything you need for a week long visit. Highly recommend.

Could not recommend this gem of a location enough!! The views and area are spectacular. Perfect for 1-2 people. Jan is incredibly helpful and communicative. Overall, the perfect place for my fiancé and I to use as a home base while visiting Oahu!

We had to, sadly, say goodbye to this wonderful spot at the Diamond Head Hotel & Residences after 8 nights there. We cannot emphasize enough how much we enjoyed our stay. The studio is exactly as described, beautiful, well appointed, with outstanding views from both sides, everything we could need to make our stay as comfortable as our own home.
Jan, the owner, was very welcoming and easy to communicate with. She made sure that we had everything that we needed, and answered questions quickly when we had them.
My favorite part of our stay was the cooling trade winds that blew through the apartment, the sound of the waves, the change of the weather, and the light at sunrise and sunset. There really are no words adequate enough to describe how much we enjoyed our stay. It certainly changed the way we always viewed staying on this shore, in town, this close to Waikiki. We tend to favor the North Short, but spending time in the Diamond Head neighborhood, with the park, the little hidden beaches, and so may places to walk in the morning, certainly changed our minds. It was simply idyllic.
We will most definitely return at some point in the future, and if not us next, some of our Ohana because they most certainly will hear of our experience and see our photos! Mahalo for everything - every little thoughtful touch, your kindness, and for sharing it with us. We loved every minute of our stay.

I can't say enough good things about the property and the owner. As soon as I booked I knew we were in good hands. The owner, Jan, is wonderful at communication and offers a wealth of information to help you get the most out of your stay. Inside the room, make sure to check the binder filled with great tips and suggestions. Additionally, the room itself is so well appointed. You can tell that a lot of thought and care was put into creating a restful space with amenities I have not had at other stays in Hawaii.
And the place itself, WOW. The views are incredible. The location is perfect, being in the city but not in the city. I have stayed in Waikiki and while it is nice in some aspects, it can be noisy and even a bit stressful, if constant activity is not what you are looking for. This property is the antidote. Also, the room is immaculate, and the property is secure and well-maintained.
Also, you can't get closer to the water. It's right there! You can get in the water anytime you want, which I did, from an access staircase close by. I am an avid snorkeler and to me, this was more than I had hoped for. I also appreciated greatly the ability to use the hosts beach equipment. I normally have to borrow it from my local family, which is great as well, but I didn't have to bother anyone this time!
You cannot go wrong if you book this property. I am so grateful to Jan for making my trip as stress-free and enjoyable as possible! I will book again for sure. Thank you!

We stayed a week and the penthouse was fantastic with incredible views, wonderful location with small private comfortable grassy area for lounging and swim. Jan is a great communicator. It was great to be able to “drop in” to waikiki then return to the quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend this place.

Can't say enough about the location! Close enough to walk but not in the middle of all the noise. Jan (owner) was great with suggestions and communication. The property was super clean. Great at night to sit out and have a glass of wine, enjoy the ocean.

Love the backyard/lanai- beautiful location for watching sunrise/sunset with unobstructed view of the ocean. Swimming/surfing off the sea wall, but best snorkeling is 1/2 block away at Kamaina beach. The room was immaculate and tastefully decorated, well stocked with toiletries, towels, coffee, kitchen utensils (microwave) even beach equipment. Room is small and Penthouse description is misleading- it is #4 of 5 units, so not a great view from either side and no personal lanai. Still, a great bargain given the location.

Everything we needed to enjoy the Kaimana Beach area was a walk away. The condo is well stocked and clean and our host was responsive, kind, and helpful. I highly recommend this location!

We love the Gold Coast and come here every 3 months. We’ve stayed in many units here. We liked this unit, but know that there is no outside balcony for sitting as part of the unit. Yes, there is a ground area which is great. We just like to start our mornings right off the unit being able to sit outside. Unit is clean, Jan is a good communicator. Also know that the bathroom and kitchen are kind of like one room. The bathroom and kitchen sink are the same. It’s better for one person and a short stay. I do recommend it though.

This property is perfect for those who value time on the beach as it is very close to the beach. The view is awesome. The room is somewhat more like a New York sublet than what I expected. Its small. Just know that. Also, if shopping and being in the bustling city is more your speed, I would stay elsewhere closer to the shops. Its about .08 mile which is t terrible but gets annoying if you just want to go to ABC store. Overall, really great experience and would recommend!

Had a great stay. Only about one mile walk to Waikiki so we got the quiet of Diamond Head but a short jaunt to the faster pace of Waikiki. Rented through Turo twice. Both cars were only 1/2 a mile away so it was very centrally located. Jan was great! Very helpful.

Modern Penthouse studio with incredible views and lovely appointments, all within walking distance to Waikiki and Diamond Head. Large oceanfront lawn lanai has chaises and tables for R&R and gathering for sunsets! Building is well-maintained and has night security patrol. Jan Davis is the consummate host: both responsive, yet respects renter’s privacy. Highly recommend this little slice of paradise!!!

Time your travels west to the North Shore carefully to avoid Honolulu traffic as you can. The unit itself is on the penthouse level and is small but really sweet with gorgeous views out of both sides of the place. Good swimming off the seawall at the end of the day and even a decent surf break just offshore. We parked on the street and never had an issue with paying, tickets or prowlers. Go to Sweet-E's for breakfast if you can. All in a great stay and Jan is exceptionally responsive. We'll do it again for sure.

Just beautiful
Jan was so lovely in our stay at her condo, prompt response if anything needed and she was actually there when we arrived making sure the condo was up to go cleaning standard. Thos condo has spectacular views of beach on both sides and diamond head, the views are one of the reasons we picked this condo. The space is small but honestly for a few day trip it is perfect for a couple. My husband really appreciated the seating area as he's not one to want to lay in bed and watch tv. Also having a smart tv to stream what we want was perfect after a day exploring Oahu. We were able to walk to great restaurants in the neighborhood and it's a short distance to be in the lively part of Waikiki with a sand beach just a few hundred feet away. We did go out to the water one evening, be careful of the waves they can be rough in the afternoon when getting off the ladder into the water and i must say you need to be able to swim because you aren't able to stand for the most part at least not me being 5'6". The check in was easy, instructions with tje pics were very helpful. You can get an uber or lyft easy, we rented a car for 2 days to be able to get up to the north shore and Kualoa ranch and i was able to purchase a spot in the residence for a fair rate. The only negative i would have to say is the toilet, though creative in how it is done there isn't great privacy so be prepared to really get to know your spouse if you don't already on bathroom noises🤣 Overall don't walk, RUN to this beautiful condo located in the best part of Waikiki you will not regret it! Thank you Jan for making our 10 year anniversary so awesome, it is more than appreciated!!!

This is a small unit, but it is thoughtfully designed and beautifully finished. Gorgeous location. Jan was a fantastic host: very responsive to the few minor bumps at check in. We loved every day here. (PS aside from the obvious beauty, the mattress is excellent!)
