The house and staff were absolutely fantastic!
The house was actually much nicer than the pictures of it on VRBO. And Chef Ronald, his assistant Argery, and the housekeeper Nelly went out of their way to make sure our family of 13 people had a great time.
The views were spectacular and the animals were a highlight. We had monkeys on the deck, a sloth out on a nearby tree, etc. The meals that Chef Ronald and Argery were outstanding and were very flexible as to timing and special requests. Etc.....
We strongly recommend staying at Villa Calaje.

First I have to say that our stay exceeded all of our expectations. Many have said the pictures do not do the house justice and that is absolutely true! There were 11 of us there to celebrate my 70th birthday and it could not have been a better place to do so. Camilo was the consummate professional from our first interaction 7 months prior to our stay until our last day. He was always available when we needed any kind of assistance, from planning and reserving our excursions to buying and bringing an ace bandage for one of my grandchildren that had a minor injury on an excursion.
One of the things that made this an amazing vacation was having our very own talented Chef Ronald. He made amazing meals for us, had a great sense of humor and he felt like part of our family. We all wanted to take him home with us.
Nellie our house keeper kept the home spotless and our clothes washed, folded and on our beds.
We did get to see some wildlife at the house from our resident sloth, macaws flying by regularly and a couple of visits from the spider monkeys.
My family all said they would not hesitate to stay at Villa Celaje again and hope to do so.

What a fantastic time we had at the villa. The home is even better than the pictures. Perfect for a large family group. Camilo was so attentive to any and all needs. We ended up being delayed 2 days out of our home city due to weather. Camilo stayed in communication with us even at midnight when our flight finally got canceled.
Everything he arranged for us was top-notch ( fishing trip, excursions, shuttle). He handled every detail with accuracy. We joked that he is the mayor of quepos because everyone knows him and treats us like VIPs because we are his guests.
We have taken our share of high-end trips and this tops the list. This was our first experience having a personal chef and full time house keeper. This allowed us to relax and just enjoy our family. Chef will make anything you request. Katherine the house keeper is so sweet and will even take care of your laundry throughout your stay.
We saw so many animals daily from the house- scarlet macaws, monkeys, iguanas, sloths and toucans. The best view in all the city right there from your house. Loved drinking coffee on the balcony and seeing so many animals. Minutes away from Manuel Antonio National park. World famous - the most beautiful beach. Looks like a setting for Jurassic park or pirates of the Caribbean. Costa Rica is now our special place, we hope to return frequently.

This was a vacation my family will never forget and in large part due to this property. The pictures did not do it justice, from the property itself to the incredible views. The wild life we saw from the property was incredible, gecko, iguana, macaw, toucan, capuchin monkeys, titi monkey, coati and so many other birds I could identify.
Chef Ronald and Agrerie (?) made it so easy for us and saved us money. No worrying about what we were going to eat, prepare it, or even clean up after we ate. Ronald also did the shopping and suggested our meal plan. The food was incredible. The kids ate more than any of us ever saw them eat. Ronald was also so friendly and helpful. We asked him so many questions about the area and country and even his personal life. He was always more than happy to share. Can't say enough good about him and wish we could take him on all our vacations.
Camilo was incredibly helpful before we arrived in planning our vacation and aways quick to respond to help us while we were there.

We had 8 adult couples share the property for a week. We all absolutely LOVED IT!!! Every morning we all shared coffee outside watching and listening to the wildlife. The Toucans, Macaws, and monkeys that visited the property were amazing. The staff were all exceptional!! Camilo was very responsive and helpful as our concierge. Chef Ronald's meals prepared for us were amazing. The massages Camilo lined up for us on Valentines Day were a hi-lite, as well as the bartender we had a couple nights... well worth the price! Everyone we came across was very nice. We enjoyed the waterfall buggy ride, Manuel Antonio National Park, fishing, Mary's Beach, the beautiful marina area, and the local downtown area as well. Security was never an issue. Transportation was only a text to Camilo away. I can not express our gratitude enough. The property and staff was the best I've come across.

All pictures on site did not do justice for how wonderful this place and views were. From start of planning with Camilo to end of trip he did not disappoint. He did a great job helping set up excursions to transport. Then Chef Ronald..oh my word...we all wanted to take him home with us..he did not disappoint all requests were met anything we needed he picked up for us..would highly recommend..not sure how we could top this vacation. All the wildlife we saw we were in awe from two kinds of monkeys..iguanas..sloths..macaws..toucans..butterflies..cute little geckos. We would atay here again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend. Of course can't forget Katherine the maid..thank you all for a wonderful week in Costa Rica.

Words cannot describe this home and the folks that are there to accommodate you. Our vacation planner Camilo handled every detail from recommending excursions, restaurants, shopping to booking them, transportation - anything we asked. Chef Ronald is a true gem and made the most fantastic meals and appetizers - he worked around our schedule morning and night. The property is immaculate and sits up in a mountain where you can watch the sunset every night over the ocean. Wildlife is everywhere and some come to visit. We didn’t want to leave. Don’t hesitate in booking this property, you will not regret it.

The purpose of our trip to Quepos and Villa Celaje was a milestone birthday, my 80th. There were thirteen in our party, a number of which had been with my wife and me on the other milestone birthdays:
50th-Cabo San Lucas (21 people)
60th-Puerta Vallarta (16 people)
70th-Palm Desert (24 people)
I point this out only because of all the places we have enjoyed, all of which came with a staff, Villa Celaje was the greatest.
Our stay at Villa Celaje exceeded any wishes I might have had. Beginning with my dealings with Camilo over a six-month period prior to our arrival. Camilo is the consummate professional. He was always very available and responsive to any questions or requests that we had, ranging from:
• Scheduling of transportation to and from San Jose to Quepos
• Arranging for a fishing trip
• Hiring live entertainment at the Villa
• Arranging our tour of Manuel Antonio National Park
• Transportation for our Zip-lining
Upon arriving at the villa, we were all amazed at how the pictures had not done it justice. Villa Celaje is spectacular in every way.
We selected our rooms, got settled in and started winding down from our trip from San Jose to Quepos*. Shortly there after we began meeting the fabulous staff. Ronald the Chef was a very delightful guy who along with his assistant prepared one amazing meal after another. There was not a person in the group that did not wish they could take him/them home. The entire staff is composed of lovely, helpful people.

We booked all three villas and it turned into a glorious wedding celebration on the patio of Villa Celaje. Everyone we worked with was so gracious and accommodating! They insured we could just enjoy the whole way through. We had the most wonderful time of our lives! Our three generation stay at Villa Celeja was perfect. The concierge stayed in good communication before and during our stay; very helpful. They arranged all of our tours, excursions and even fabulous beach day; every single company they selected was fabulous! On time, fun, and tuned into needs of all participants. Ronald’s meals were delicious and prepared with the freshest ingredients. All of us wanted to take Ronald home. I highly recommend this lovely home for a large group- we had 15.

This is an amazing property with stunning views, luxurious accommodations and responsive, professional staff. Camilo's attention to detail in planning our excursions, travel transfers, etc. was outstanding... and not enough can be said about our chef, Chef Ron. The food preparations were unrivaled -- and cooking for 15 people, all with different tastes is no easy task!
... and Eimy and her housekeeping crew were non-stop and kept us in fresh towels and clean lodgings... again, not easy with 15 people (and kids in and out of the pool).
The views from the balconies were breath-taking and the daily morning macaw fly-bys were mesmerizing. Our monkey visits were a delight for adults and kids alike (not the white-faced monkeys - they were grumpy, but the Ti-Tis were an excursion all their own!
I could write pages lauding this property and its staff... if I could give higher than 5 stars, I would!

We spent a full week at this house with my family, my (now) wife’s family, and close friends. The entirety of the stay was made effortless due to the constant attention to detail by the entire staff. Camilo quickly answered any questions we had and made sure every need was met. The hardest part of the trip was to decide how many activities to plan due to the desire to not leave the beauty and ambiance of the property. Throughout the week each meal prepared by Chef Ron was the highlight of each day. Each meal was enjoyed in a spotless house produced by the daily cleanings of the staff. The perfect week was capped of with our wedding that was made possible through the connections Camilo suggested to help us plan the most memorable ceremony we could imagine. After the ceremony we returned to the house for a poolside reception with a live band and a last meal prepared by the one and only Chef Ron. Our expectations were truly blown away and we cannot wait to return.

Absolutely perfect!
The house was so amazing , blew us all away! Everything was well kept and better than expected. The view from each room was incredibly beautiful. We could not have asked for a better experience. Our concierge (Mefi), Chef Ronald, maintenance guy, and the housekeeper took great care of our group of friends. Chef Ronald is a excellent chef and every meal was 5 star! Amazing Vacation
We had such an amazing time on our vacation and the property was every bit as beautiful as the photos. We saw more wildlife at the property than anywhere else and the staff is amazing. Ronald is an incredible cook and so friendly...I wish we could bring him with us back home. We stayed at this villa over the 2021/2022 holiday period. It’s a special place, and the photos do not give the views or property justice. Thanks to Covid, we had travel snafus (flights cancellations and the like) and Camilo was awesome in taking care of a bunch of the logistical issues. I can go on and on about this property and staff but I will be brief. Camilo was an incredible and attentive to detail concierge extraordinaire. Katherine was as quiet as a mouse and kept the house so clean and tidy. She even did laundry so we wouldn’t travel with dirty clothes. It was a pleasure meeting her. Such a delight. Chef Ron told me I drank more water than any other house guest he has met! Girl gotta stay hydrated! The meals that Ron prepared were 5 star restaurant style. Everything was delicious. Presentation was on point. Whatever we asked Ron for he provided! He went above and beyond on so many levels and for that my heart is happy. This property, the views, the visit from the monkeys was outstanding. From the decor, to the infinity pool, to the outdoor entertainment area, the jungle that surrounds the property and the view of the mountains and ocean was spectacular. Our trip was an absolute dream from start to finish!! You HAVE to stay here!! They staff the dream team - Camilo assisted with all excursions, transportation and the onboarding process - he was always available and so helpful!! Once we arrived Ronald and his assistant Ajadi were more than accommodating with food and beverage requests - everything they made was super delicious!! Our experience started almost immediately after booking when we started working with Camilo who was so helpful in setting up our excursions and transportation. Chef Ronald truly made our trip! Not only is he absolutely fabulous as a chef but also so helpful and genuinely passionate about making your experience special. The home is spectacular! The property has 3 homes (2 bedroom, 4 bedroom and 8 bedroom) and each feels private and has their own private pool. We spent out mornings on excursions and afternoons by the pool taking in the sunsets and views. The Titi monkeys were so fun to see and we also saw toucans and macaws, breathtaking! Speaking of excursions, don’t miss out on the Buggy Tour, what a cool experience that you’ll never forget!

Dream vacation
This architecturally gorgeous home of stone and wood was phenomenal!Our view was the rainforest canopy and we were fed by our outstanding chef Ronald, pampered by Katrina . concierge Mefi arranged excursions to beautiful waterfalls and the Manuel Antonio National park and off shore fishing that fed our family of 11 with grouper and snapper. But the real surprise was having 20 or more cute squirrel monkeys visit and entertain the grandchildren, followed by flights of 5 beautiful scarlet macaws daily, iguanas and capuchin monkeys as well. Then we looked out back from a balcony to see a sloth slowly climbing a tree! And so much more… vacation of a lifetime.!

A Trip of a Lifetime!!! Pura Vida!
An absolute dream trip!! We had 15 people, ages 15 to 85 years old. The entire trip was way beyond our expectations! From the time we booked the trip, Camilo (Concierge) was there to answer questions and assist with preparing for the trip and booking excursions. Since my 85 year old mom was with us, we needed excursions she could be a part of, Camilo recommended the perfect excursions and we all had a fantastic time! (The Jeep tour and Off the Beaten path were our favorites!).
When we arrived at 10pm, Camilo and Ronald (our chef) were there to greet us with a taco dinner after a very long day of travel. Ronald spoiled us the entire week, I can honestly say the only thing I did in the kitchen all week was pour my coffee every morning (a real vacation for a mom!) Ronald is a master in the kitchen and the grill, he created meals we are still talking about and we really enjoyed hanging out with him. The kids are still talking about Ronald's banana pancakes.
Katherine was there every morning with a big smile, making sure the house was spotless, she even did laundry throughout the week! She made the house so nice and you barely even knew she was there.
The house was beyond perfect for our group, plenty of room for all and so many bathrooms. It is exactly like the pictures show, comfortable furniture and beds, beautiful decorations and a breathtaking view of the ocean and the mountains. We woke up every morning to the scarlet macaws and had monkeys visiting several afternoons.
Camilo was in constant communication to make sure our trip was perfect. He set up transportation from the airport, from that point on we didn't worry about a thing because Camilo took care of EVERYTHING!!! My family was talking about how much time it must have taken to plan the trip, I had to admit that all I did was push the 'book now' button and Camilo appeared, he made it all happen. I've always wanted to do yoga outside on a tropical vacation, Camilo had a yoga instructor come to the house, morning yoga on the deck for all of us. Amazing!!
We were not ready to go home when the week came to an end, but we left with memories that will be in our hearts forever!! We will be back!! Pura Vida!!!

Amazing Villa
Camilo our concierge was very responsive to all of our needs and questions. All of our excursions were entertaining, educational and fun. The villa was beautiful and very clean. Ronald our Chef was very talented in the kitchen. Katherine the cleaning lady was on top of her game every morning. I highly recommend this Villa for your Costa Rica stay. It definitely feels like a vacation . Beautiful people and spectacular Villa!

This property was off the charts amazing. From the start working with Camilo our concierge to our private chef Ronald, our housekeeper Katherine to the monkeys who visited- every single day was an experience. We absolutely loved the house and all the people. We can’t wait to go back.

FABULOUS!
We just returned from our 5-night stay at Ville Celaje and it was amazing from the moment we stepped foot on the property. Camilo, our concierge, arranged transportation from the Quepos airport and he greeted us at the house. He was very helpful with reservations, taxis, and recommendations throughout our entire stay, not to mention was very prompt with his communication and arrangements prior to the trip.
The house is as gorgeous as the photos on the website. There were only 4 couples in our group so we had plenty of room to spread out on all three levels. Chef Ronald was amazing!!! His guacamole and pico de gallo was awesome….but the tuna sashimi and tuna salsa were to die for. Three of the guys in our group went fishing and caught some grouper and Chef Ronald cooked in beautifully on the grill wrapped in banana leaves. All our meals were delicious…everything from the omelets for breakfast to the filet mignon and lobster! We really enjoyed Chef Ronald’s company as well. He is really friendly and super helpful! Our housekeeper, Kathryn, was amazing as well. She did a fabulous job!
The incredible wildlife at the house makes you feel like you are living in a zoo! The macaws and toucans that fly around the house are stunning and the monkeys that steal the mangos off the bar are entertaining. Also, the sunsets by the pool are magical.
If you are beach goers, I highly recomend the Arenas Del Mar for lunch (a suggestion from Camilo). It is about a 10-minute taxi ride from the house and you can enjoy lunch right on the beach and then lounge in chairs and watching the waves crash! We also saw two sloths in the trees above us! Great cocktails and wonderful food (especially the hamburger and the poke bowl).
Everyone in our group had an amazing time and would definitely recommend this amazing home. We loved it so much, we are already planning our next trip to Costa Rica! Pura Vida!

Wonderful place!!!
Everything about our stay was great. Camilo helped with all of our needs to and from the house, food, and excursions. Chef Ron was great. He prepared anything we wanted. The house keeper kept everything spotless and did our laundry. We were there to fish so we were on a tight schedule. I will definatley be back..

This house is absolutely amazing in all aspects.
Our vacation was amazing starting from the house, to Camilo our concierge, to Renaldo our chef. The meals he cooked were delicious. The excursions we did through out the week were awesome. We all had a great time and made a lot of memories. It was definitely the best vacation we’ve taking and beautiful country to visit. Pura vida!!!
