The Lookout was a fabulous place to stay for visiting and exploring the south coast. The view of the sea from the apartment was amazing, even on stormy days. Sidmouth was right on your doorstep with a lovely variety of shops to visit.

Good location in the centre of Sidmouth with stunning views. This property has enormous potential but needs cleaning, painting, re-equipping , and refurbishment.

AMAZING, STUNNING, AN ABSOLUTE MUST. Wow a perfect breakaway in the most perfect location. Fully kitted out with everything you need. The bed is soo comfortable, we both slept like logs. Close to all amenities. It was wonderful to open the window and sit and listen to the sea. Stairs to apartment quite steep if you have knee or hip problems. We managed as it was worth getting to the apartment. Finbar our host could not have been more helpful. If you do book this apartment you won’t be disappointed.

We rented two apartments,The Lookout for my husband and I on the second floor, along with The Esplanade, which is on ground level for my 92 yrs old parents. This worked very well for us all, giving us time together and apart, and we were able to cater & share meals. It’s an ideal base for exploring Sidmouth town,where there is much to keep visitors occupied. A most enjoyable time was had by us all & the hosts were quick to address any questions before , during & after our stay.

When renting we were contacted promptly to confirm by the host. Just before travelling received instructions for collecting key. Host checked in with us soon after arrival.

Excellent location with wonderful views . A Compact well equipped warm and cosy apartment. We enjoyed our short stay …….. but not so much the tub chair and sofa which are worn and uncomfortable .

An exceptional holiday apartment. Excellent location, wonderful sea views, so light and airy, beds nice and comfy and tastefully decorated. A lovely touch with the welcome pack - I won’t say what but will leave this for others to enjoy the surprise! Well done Finnbar, we will be back.

What a gem we found with this place. We enjoyed every minute we stayed at this little apartment. Finbarr is an absolutely great host! He and his wife created a lovely space to unwind and relax and you'll find everything you need for your stay. And what a warm welcome: a cream tea ready to tuck in and a bottle of wine. We only can highly recommend this place.

Always wanted a stay this close to the ocean and this apartment had charm and a view to die for.

This is our second visit and we thoroughly enjoyed it yet again.

The apartment was exactly as described. Gorgeous sea view, warm and comfortable. Clear check in instructions helped , and the owner’s parking tips were very useful. Will definitely return. Only way it could be improved is if there was wifi available.

We very much enjoyed our post Christmas break here. The flat has all the facilities you could need with ample space. The view is the star, for people watching along the prom or watching the tides coming in or out. Although close to the town with its many shops and cafes, the flat was really quiet. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

We had an enjoyable and relaxing break in a very comfortable apartment

Upon arrival were delighted to find a cream tea made up in the fridge along a bottle of white wine, a lovely start to our break. The property was perfect for our self-catering needs, very clean and well stocked with appliances and utensils. We slept very well in the comfortable beds, we required the heating on first thing in the morning just for an hour to take off the chill, plenty of hot water. Sitting on the chair and sofa in the lounge loved hearing the sound of the waves and looking out to sea. We had brought all of our food with us for this trip and in the kitchen found all the utensils we needed to cook up a feast. The location was perfect, very quiet within the building, amazing views and we stepped out to do a couple of walks along the seafront and up the hill heading out of Sidmouth to the west. Shops just around the corner meant we could buy the Sunday paper without having to stray too far. Finnbar was available on the telephone and checked in to see we were happy with everything. All in all would highly recommend this and we will definitely be returning at some point in the near future, regulations allowing.

What an excellent holiday property! Perfectly located right at the centre of everything, fabulous views, couldn’t get any closer to the beach and sea, spotlessly clean apartment, great host, great communication. Lots of lovely cafes and restaurants. Wonderful!

Lovely apartment for 2. Weather was variable but being able to gaze out to sea was a treat. Apartment was very well equipped. Would recommend for singles or couples.

Comfortable property with sea view, just a few minutes walk from town centre. Ideal for short break. This is on the second floor so you need to be able to manage stairs. Great location for walking coastal path.
