The home was beautiful and served all of our needs very well - the pool and hot tub were great and the porch is perfect for an outdoor dinner. Great location close to both a private beach on the lake and the public beach on the ocean, as well as several great golf courses nearby.

We had a last minute corporate retreat at this lovely Hamptons Home. In time to see the beautiful fall foliage starting, there is a nice partial view of the lake from the master bedroom balcony. Our large group was easily accommodated by the spacious rooms where each person had their own comfortable bed. The large living room with 4 couches made it easy to have our meetings in this open space. A few of us went to the beach, wine tasting and pumpkin picking all within a few minutes of the house which is only about 5 minutes from the Southampton village shops and restaurants. The kitchen has all new cookware and there is a large outdoor deck for everyone to enjoy dinner outside overlooking the pool. A quiet and peaceful setting to concentrate or vacation, I highly recommend the house and plan to select this place for our next Hamptons excursion in the spring.

We have been staying at VRBO properties since years and have had only good experiences till our stay here. The fact that we exited the property barely within 24 hours (it was booked for 3 nights 4 days) and cut short our vacation is enough to express our frustration. The issues:
1. We reached property on time on check in day but were made to wait hours as they had a furniture delivery going on and were not even allowed access to Bathroom and were told to go to a nearby tavern
2. The biggest issue - we had confirmed with owner that the pool is heated during reservation (as mentioned in the listing) and also ONE DAY before our trip. But it wasn't and considering the weather, we could not use POOL at all. We paid a premium to get a house with POOL and we could not use it. Owner tried to get some solar covers and told us that the heating is broken and he will sort it our next day. But water was so cold, even Adults could not use it - even on next day afternoon. This was the biggest issue for a family with kids. We have messages whereby we have asked and confirmed about heated pool so many times as it was important to us.
3. The property is old and basement had couple of bedrooms - out of this, one so called bedroom is just a small storage area with beds. And it was so cold in basement, that most of us had to sleep in living area on our FIRST AND ONLY night.
4. Property owner had a big list of rules, which we didn't mind. But rules like 1. if a neighbor asks, we have to say that we are friends (and not renters) 2. should not get watermelon 3. no food waste in trash bags / trash cans and it should be just thrown out in the woods - we have seen this first time in our lives and again added to our frustration.
5. IN the bedroom on top floor, some smoky/moldy substance kept coming out from the AC unit. Again, the property is very old and the owner should put a correct description before renting it out.

Lovely and peaceful home with helpful host
We had a group of co-workers in the Hamptons for a work assignment, renting the house for a week. It was great for our purposes, with a wonderful location and a very peaceful setting. Ken the host was very responsive and went out of his way to help us have a successful stay.

Rustic home in the woods
This property is much more rustic than luxury but is very functional with many bedrooms and bathrooms. You must provide your own linens, bathroom towels are provided, not beach towels or beach supplies. The lake is beautiful and the small beach is a 1/2 mile walk. The house comes with a kayak and canoe but the dock needs some TLC. The owner is on-site and cleans/refills the pool each day. Our family enjoyed our stay, first time being all together in many months.

We liked the location. And the house is quite large, you could sleep 15+ if you really needed to.
That said, it feels VERY dated. Beds, couches, furniture all decades old. Several things broken (bbq, tub, pool liner etc.)
Owner is responsive, but requires extensive communication before and during the stay that was quite distracting on our vacation.

We had a nice relaxing time here in this clean home surrounded by nature. Lots of deck space for our family of 10.Quiet surroundings. Near everything we wanted; village restaurants , vineyards and beaches. Owner was helpful with all our needs during our stay.

"Perfect Hamptons Location"
"Had a great time at this Southampton resort home for a quick getaway with some work colleague's. Great place with beautiful lake and woodlands surroundings. House is clean, private, and very close to the village of Southampton. Owner is very responsive. Nice kitchen with new cookware,many comfortable beds, two huge living rooms and nice stone, decorative fireplace. Expansive outdoor decks. Great location for the wineries. I would recommend this house to families, reunions, work retreats like ours and anyone coming out from the city. Outdoor hot tub, nice touch in winter! Will be back here for the Summer when the pool is open. Great Hamptons Rental. Thank you."

Great House
We had a fantastic stay while in Southampton. The house itself was very comfortable and our entire group felt at home. The privacy was great, It felt very secluded while being in such close proximity to everything we could have needed. Would definitely go back and stay again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful Vacation Home
Ken’s beautiful, quaint, and spacious home tucked in the woods near the lake provides a secluded getaway that is proximate to downtown Southampton. From the time our group of friends and family arrived, he immediately greeted us in the parking lot and offered to help carry the bags in. The house was very well kept with plenty of space for my entire group to stay. The pool is large, hot tub is roomy, and the outdoor deck is spacious. The beach is easy to get to and downtown Southampton is just a few minutes drive. We will definitely stay here again.

Paradise in the Hamptons
A lovely, peaceful getaway location, on a large lake with a separate beach. Our family was able to enjoy two world class beaches, three local vineyards and world-class National Links Golf Course in a short week stay all in under 5 minutes from the house. Highly recommended for your Hamptons vacation.

An A+ experience!
Just spent a wonderful weekend in Southampton partly due to the superb hospitality of Ken and Shirley. Ken was kind enough to pick me up at the bus station. The house is large and very clean with 4 bathrooms, one of the cleanest accommodations I have had in the past year. The house is close to the village and ocean beaches (3 miles). It is in a peaceful and beautiful forest, close to a lake. I would recommend to have a car (or a bike) in order to truly enjoy the location in the vicinity of Southampton and Sag Harbor. There are two great tennis clubs close by (Shinnecock Tennis Club) 1 mile away (3 minutes) and (Racket Club Southampton) about 3 miles. I can only praise Ken and his family for the care they show their visitors. An A+ experience!

Perfect Weekend Getaway Home
Our stay at Ken’s house was one of the most pleasant and memorable
weekends my friends and I had in a long time! The house was perfectly
nestled on a quiet road, and it was so nice to escape from the hustle and bustle of NYC. If you are looking for tranquility and being surrounded by nature, this spot is your best bet in Southampton! We relaxed in Ken’s wonderful hot tub and pool, and spent so much time
outside soaking in some sun on his beautiful grounds and large deck.
The house itself was very spacious yet cozy, and could have everything
you could ever ask for in a weekend getaway home. Great amenities,
great accommodations. Ken was such a gracious host and made sure we
had everything we needed – from directions to cab companies to
restaurant recommendations – Ken was always on call to make sure we
felt right at home!

PERFECT GETAWAY!
We had a great stay at Ken’s house. Beautiful home with all the amenities a large party would ever need. Idyllic surroundings, comfortable and high quality interiors, and deeply relaxing pool/hot tub. Everything was what we expected and more; it's perfect!
I could not speak higher of Ken. He was extremely accommodating to all of our needs and even worked overtime to let us in the house before our scheduled check in time.
We were celebrating a special reunion and Ken went above and beyond to make sure our every need was taken care of. He also gave us a ton of recommendations for things to do in the area. Ken felt like a lifelong friend. From taking pictures of the group to driving us to pick-up breakfast when we didn’t have a car – Ken did it all!
I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to have an amazing time in South Hampton!

Terrific Vacation
Our family and friends had a marvelous time here on my birthday weekend after having stayed at one of Ken's other houses in March. Ken arranged a tour of some spectacular hidden wonders close by (lakes, bay and a nature hike) and then we all went wine tasting at 3 local vineyards. A rare treat, we were provided kayaks on the beautiful lake just steps from the house. We found the house perfectly located in serenity yet close to the beautiful Cooper's Beach and village of Southampton where we explored several beaches and enjoyed a night out. Being close to the beaches and town is convenient while the beautiful walk from the house to the lake and bay beach was great exercise and so refreshing. The house itself is lovely, kitchen stocked for cooking and living room with house games for all of us (it rained one day, we had a real bonding experience!). Plenty of bedrooms and space, and nicely decorated with a lot of living and outdoor deck space for a lot of guests. This house is definitely designed for large families, those who enjoy nature with peaceful surroundings (lots of birds) and anyone who wants a rejuvenating getaway in Southampton. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful Home
Our family of 14 spent a week at Ken’s place and I can truly say its perfect for a family vacation.The house is situated in a quiet area and offers privacy. The amenities in the house are many and include a pool, hot tub, two exterior grills and a large deck with seating arrangement for a large family. The location in Southampton is near both pond and ocean beaches (check out Cooper’s Beach, one of the best in the US). Great retreat from the city
I spent a weekend here in October and it was very pleasant. It was very picturesque in the fall, with the leaves changing for the Fall, yet I am sure it would have been as beautiful in the summer.
I found the house to be very spacious and homely - it did not appear as a typical summer/fall rental, just very comfortable and relaxing.
The owner informed me of canoeing to a private beach which was very nice. I think this is a great place for a retreat, yet conveniently located near the shopping centers and main streets.
I would higly recmmend this vacation spot.
