Location. Quiet neighbourhood.
Room was very small. Perhaps better for 1 person.

It had every thing I needed. The air conditioner in the lovely bedroom was great! There was a cute little kitchen and comfortable living room.
The owner is very nice and helpful.

La habitación que se pagó no fue la asignada, no contestaron nunca el teléfono de contacto.
El baño olia mal, las camas eran incomodas y viejas.

Mom & Daughter business. Lovely folks. They keep the place nice and clean. Not far from center of town.
When arriving you really feel the place is managed with care and passion. It’s more than just a place to stay ….

There is a fridge in the roon and the host was quickly available by phone when we needed.
The bed was super uncomfortable, there were two foams on top of the mattress that did not make it any more comfortable (actually the opposite). The pillows were also very uncomfortable. Bathroom is very small, there was no wall and door dividing the room from the bathroom, only a courtain and a shower door without ceiling. The rug was dirty.

this was in the perfect location, and our room had a lot of space between the bedroom, living room and kitchen. whenever we needed anything, casita piedra responded almost immediately. it was hot, but the provided a number of fans to cool down.
the internet was not strong enough for two people to both work

Location, responsive host.
Unfortunately we had a terrible experience. Before I explain I will cavite that we left early and got a full reimbursement for our stay. The host fully cooperated with us, for that we are grateful. We also feel that the host is very likely to improve matters in the future. However as backpackers we rely heavily on reviews from other so we feel the responsibility to be truthful here.
Basically there was a cockroach infestation. At night they would come out. To begin with they were more or less contained to the bathroom. The shower had a massive built in shower floor which did not drain well and so pooled water. We did our best to remove them thinking that perhaps it was normal. When I alerted the host and they referred us to bug spray that was provided. We used this all around the bathroom. However this meant that in the mornings we would wake up to many (in the high teens) dead cockroaches we had to clean up. The bathroom was almost out of bounds after dark as they were everywhere. Soon we begin finding them alive in the living area also and during the day too. Our mexican friends said that this number was not normal and there was likely a much larger infestation. The host said that they had exterminated as a precautionary measure the previous week and that was why they were dead however the dead ones only appeared in the areas we sprayed with. Also if this is the process the place should not be available to guests until bugs dead or alive are removed. The straw that broke the camels back was when we requested more bug spray the host dropped off a can which was half the size of the one that we already used, plus on top of this it was half empty already.
Also to note there were many other issues for us. I reached out to the host after our first night with the following 3 issues.
1. The internet was terrible, it was slow but it also kept dropping completely.

10min walk to main street with restaurants
We had to leave after one night because of uncomfortable bed, windows that can't be opened and insects/bed bugs in several parts of the house.

Excellent location, close to the centre of Rinconada and part of a nice neighbourhood.
The apartment was OK but the mattress is very thin, plus the bedroom is accessed via the balcony. This means that if you need the bathroom in the night, you have to go outside to then get to the main part of the apartment, where the bathroom is.

Lucia was absolutely lovely, incredibly accommodating and helpful. Felt so comfortable and safe as a solo traveller, I extended my stay. Quiet and perfect location close to all amenities and great distance to one of the nicest beaches. Would return in an a flash! Thank you really made my stay warm and homely.

I almost never write reviews but the host was so incredible, I felt compelled to return that kindness here. I live in Puerto, and had a night off as my daughter had a pijamada and decided to treat myself to an aribnb close to where I was going out with friends. The room was clean, quiet and well put together - check in was easy and wifi was great. But the WIN was the host. I originally thought I had another room but there was a mistake and she helped me fix it all on Booking.com, and put such cute touches in the room, including flowers and rosemary in the shower for me. You can tell that the host actually cares about what kind of stay you have there and is genuinely there to help you and make you feel welcomed. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to puerto - even if it was loud with no wifi it would still beat the rest. A human touch goes a long way in this day and age and I was really flattered at how well I was actually cared for. 10 out of 10 I will definitely do it again.

The host is very nice, always available, and was a great help to me. Great Wifi, it was important for me (online work) and it was always reliable.
The breakfasts at Chill a Kill were wonderful. Fresh juices, fruit. Delicious toast with avocado and egg. And all in beautiful local dishes.
There is a dog in the house next door and it barks frequently. But I'm a dog lover, so I forgave him;)

pros. kind hostess. location. spacious garden area. everything i needed. Value! easy walk to beach and half dozen restaurants. my fave place to eat right on the corner. and we ate breakfast there courtesy of the hostess - how lovely!!
cons. stairs if that’s a problem. i like stairs it usually means a better view.

Perfect location, only a short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. The apartment is very comfortable. The host is very nice, always available, and was a great help to us. We would definitely stay there again!
Not an issue for us, but wifi was unreliable (which is not unusual in Puerto Escondido)

the room was exactly what I had hoped for. when I walked into the room the first day I literally did a happy dance bc so many places I’ve gone to in the past don’t quite match the description or photos they advertise so I was grateful that this time they lined up! It felt like a studio apartment with a homey feel to it instead of that more sterile feeling you get in hotels. the room was nice and spacious, quiet surroundings, lovely, kind, and attentive host, short walk away from restaurants and the beach, really safe neighborhood. sad to leave!
couple of small things that weren’t really a problem for me but could be tuned up a bit for example the toilet wasn’t flushing very well at times, and the shower wasn’t draining very well. a couple other small suggestions, to put more hand and bath towels in the room and a set of cutlery (which the host graciously provided when I asked) other than that, everything was really great and I would love to come back!

There was no breakfast include but very good location, 5 m. Walk to principal street where you can find many restaurants.

The apartment is beautiful with lots of big windows to allow in natural sunlight. It's a 5 minute walk to one of the best beaches to swim (carrizalillo) and 3 minute walk to a main road with great restaurants and shops and only a 10 minute taxi trip to Zicatella. The host, Lucia, is amazing. She was so attentive during my stay and always went above and beyond (from giving me cleaning/kitchen items I requested to helping me get into the apartment after losing my key!). The wifi worked great as well. I highly recommend staying here!

Location was okay
It was very dirty, sand everywhere, bathroom situation was something else. Bed was super uncomfy and loud, also dirty. Random packaging stuff laying around. Paid for two nights, stayed only one. Choose other hotels at the same price range, way better.

it is in a great location and super safe neighborhood. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. the WiFi worked great for me and that can be hard to find in PE. the shower did have hot water but honestly it so hot in PE you’re probably going to take cold ones anyway. Alphonso, the property manager was very kind and very helpful!
that it didn’t come with any purified water jugs. I’ve been told most places offer them but other than that it was good!

The location was convenient and it had good wifi.
I don't even know where to start except if they rekindle Seinfeld, this entire experience feels ripped from a script.
To no fault of the business owner, my phone was stolen a few days before I checked in.
However I'd sent two messages days before my arrival stating I did not have a phone and some reviews stated it's hard to find so I was asking for identifying markers on the house.
I had a feeling that no response to such a question sent twice wasn't a good sign.
I messaged the day of saying I would be arriving and wouldn't have a phone. Third message to her.
We arrived and after 15 minutes standing in the hot sun w our packs my daughter found a key and said this must be it.
Keep in mind ther ar 44 pictures of this property. Now click like you're gonna book. It doesn't show you the actual unit.
We dropped our bags in the unit and left to get some food.
Retuned to some other people renting a downstairs unit telling us we were in the wrong spot and needed to move upstairs. It was dark already but we grabbed our bags and moved.
But then she was on the phone with those people and wanted to talk to me.
Actually she started yelling at me asking me what's wrong with me? Individual questions like did you use any towels? Did you use the bed? She was yelling at me asking why I took the wrong unit. I sat by bags down in that unit and picked them up and left. Nothing more.
Let me say there are no numbers on the doors there. If you're gonna leave people to find their own spot put some freaking numbers on the doors.
So I gave the phone back to it's owner while she's yelling at me. Smh. This is my vacation.
So we move upstairs.
Where the guy told us to go.

Perfect location to discover Puerto Escondido. The apartment was really big and luminous. The owner was easily reachable and nice. We enjoyed cooking and eating on the balcony.
